Great When It Works (Never After 2 Months)

    NONfinis

TL;DR: Mouse loses connection with USB receiver after a month - month and a half, just outside the return window. Logitech non-responsive with assistance. Not worth the gamble despite being a good mouse. This mouse was promising. Out of the box and plugged it, it immediately worked as expected. It was comfortable in the hand, with the right amount of weight. The primary and secondary mouse buttons clicked and felt very comfortable. I could use it for gaming (which I do infrequently these days) with comfort, and switch to work tasks without losing a beat. I did notice that the software seemed to indicate a low battery QUICKLY (after about a week) but never actually ran out of power. That was the only hiccup. AT THE TIME. Fast foward to about a month and a half later and the mouse is a paperweight. The mouse itself seems to turn on just fine. But there is some kind of error with the USB receiver. There is no communication between mouse and receiver. Sometimes if it's wiggled, it picks up, but then after being left alone for hours, it'll drop connection. To compound matters, Logitech has gone 7 days after filing a help request on their website with no follow-up response to me. I've emailed them and I am hoping for more information, but I'm not feeling very confident on that front. It's an issue for any prospective buyer of this mouse, because if it fails after the 14 return window, you're out of luck. Apparently I'm not the only one with this issue, as many other reviews on Amazon have highlighted this issue as well. I'd recommend against buying this for that reason. Really too bad, because when it works, it's great. Times like these are when I wish Best Buy had a longer, more considerate-of-customers, return window.

Good G502 Alternative, Not Good Enough?

The Logitech G502 is my all-time favorite mouse, and I've used it as my partner in PC gaming for a few years now, but it's not wireless, so I was looking for an alternative Logitech mouse that could fulfill my laptop journeys. I got this mouse, the G602, and I was expecting a similar form factor. It feels slightly bigger, so if you have smaller hands like I do, it may feel a little off. The build quality doesn't feel quite as nice as I thought it would, and the buttons that reside on the left click are flimsy, and while gaming, I've noticed that sometimes, the buttons fail to register on time. The side buttons are useful and feel neat, but feel somewhat jagged and uncomfortable after a while. Might want to beware if you have a larger thumb that may glide over more than one button at a time. Overall, it's okay, and I've heard the battery life is amazing (though, I haven't had it long enough myself to speak on this), and it does its job most of the time.

So I picked up this mouse when it went on sale about a year ago. The sticker price was $80, but it was on sale for $40, so of course I got it. While the ergonomics of the mouse are very nice, and the overall aesthetics are subtle enough to match any desk setup, I have to say I'm fairly disappointed with the final product. First, this is advertised as a "gaming mouse" with the ability to automatically sense when a game launches and load the correct profile. That doesn't usually happen, and I have to pause mid-game to open the Logitech software and select the correct profile. Even then, it's not guaranteed that it will actually use the profile, as I've had many times where my "melee" button has turned into my "copy-paste" button. Although gaming is not the reason I bought the mouse, it's more for productivity and work, therein lies another major issue: scrolling and tracking. Just recently, the mouse has had major issues with tracking, which can be very frustrating when I'm trying to do any kind of CAD work. I replace the batteries and it's fine for a bit, but it still has the issue after a while. Also, the battery life is kind of bad. I'd recommend getting rechargeable batteries with this thing.

    Early Failure

After using this mouse on a daily basis for only a few months the middle click button has failed completely. One of the least used buttons on this mouse and it no longer works, everything else works on it... for now. I've had issues with Logitech wireless mice in the past, mainly the mouse no longer connecting to the PC, but that had been years ago so I thought I would give this one a try. It looks like Logitech still cant make a good mouse, this replaced a 10 year old Microsoft mouse that just started to have its buttons fail after daily use. This G602 only took months. Avoid this mouse and look for something different.

Like others have mentioned in their reviews, the reception is kinda bad. The mouse is less than a feet away from the receiver and the mouse would randomly stop responding for a second or two... which is annoying during desktop use but unusable during gaming. Tried to troubleshoot the mouse by updating firmware / software / batteries and now the thing is broken and just blinking green and blue... going to try to RMA... but I am assuming my replacement is going to run into similar problems.

    Buttons Misplaced

You cannot configure certain mouse buttons to perform a task. I find it annoying that sometimes I will accidently click what I think is the double click but it is actually assigned as the pack back button which you cannot change. Mouse sucks on a 34" widescreen and it just does not have enough sensor for the screen I am using and the mouse jumps all over the place no matter what setting or speed you are on. It is hard to pinpoint objects and is very annoying. If it were not $27 on sale when I got it, I would have just taken it back. I have since given it to my child.

I'm not a wireless mouse fan, but I tried the G602 last year b/c it was on sale. I still have it on my main computer but I constantly have issues with lag. I've tried changing the USB from the front to the rear directly plugged to the MB. I've put new batteries in of different brands. This is just a terrible mouse. Do a google search and you will see lots of issues. I can't even take it to work b/c its too unreliable.

This mouse is probably the most comfortable mouse I have held yet, but trying to use the buttons on the side rear while gaming is pretty tuff. battery life on this thing is fantastic I have had this mouse for 1-2 months and still have full batteries. Another thing I don't like is the DPI setting has too big of a gap between the polls and you end up using the Logitech software plus the game software in order to get the speed set where you want it.

Avoid this mouse, unless your cat likes expensive chew toys. That is, if you have a cat. Even on sale, this mouse was a really bad purchase. I should have known to avoid Logitech products based on my past experiences with their products. Two stars because when it actually worked, I liked it. Would have returned, but out of return time frame, and Logitech CS is absolutely awful.

    Get Disconnected a lot!

I have used this mouse for almost half a year. I would say this mouse works for a month or two. And then, it starts to become unreliable. Playing FPS games, I find that the mouse gets disconnected from the computer a lot and thus causes input lag and frustration. I would say the wireless mouse like this one is not as reliable as wired one.

solid, very comfortable mouse. i like the on the fly DPI adjustment, however am having very bad 2.4Ghz interference issues. if i'm downloading or using alot of bandwidth, the mouse gets laggy and jumpy. have tried on 2 different computers to isolate the issue to the mouse itself, not the PC's. this has unfortunately made the mouse unusable for me .

Good buttons and feel, but the tracking is totally messed up. It's so bad I can't even do work with it, mouse just goes extremely slow or way too fast at random times. I will be returning. I tried putting in new batteries and also is not fixing the issue.

My old non-bluetooth wireless mouse worked fine before but this had some features and an ergonomic design that I liked. The performance on it was very very good but it kept losing signal and would stop. Ended up returning it and the mouse I'm using now (bluetooth) works much better for my needs.

This mouse was okay, but slow to respond to movement. I have already replaced it with a different brand/model. If you are doing 1st person games, try something else.

Overall th controls are decent but for my hand the placement is a bit akward to the point where I would accidentally click the side buttons fairly regularly. The mouse worked very smoothly till one day it just decided to start acting weird and lag my computer.

The multiple buttons is nice but doesn't matter when the mouse doesn't even work well. You can use the adapter and have it two inches from the mouse but it still lags out badly. From internet use to gaming, this is a poor transmission mouse

Didnt really look over the signal strength. Great on button options and customization. Awful on distance plus objects destroy the signal. Better stay close to your computer.

Tried playing with this thing two feet away from USB sensor, and would get constant lag. The arrow moved over the screen like it was dragging a truck. Just get a wired mouse. Other than that it's not bad.
