Logitech G602 mouse review This is a very nice mouse. Here is what I think Logitech got right; -Unpacking is uneventful and easy, without the usual welded hard plastic shell cutting challenge. You can put the Band-Aid away. -The USB receiver is placed next to the mouse in the packaging, so no panic sets in that it's missing. There is also a storage place for it inside the battery compartment for travel. -Nice hi-tech design, but functional and ergonomically correct. -The center wheel works OK, but not as good as on some other Logitech products. The middle-click feels positive and respond well to click and drag operations on the G602, but I think the M705 (and some others) have a lot better wheel design, but on those the middle-click and drag is worthless. If you use them with GoogleEarth or SolidWorks a lot, you'd know what I'm talking about. -Feels solid and comfortable with well positioned buttons. The grip surface has a slight "sandy" feel to it for a positive non-slip grip. -It has huge sliding pads on the bottom. They don't look like they would come off anytime soon. This is actually an issue on other rodents. -The buttons feel positive with a slight mechanical click, making click and drag operations a snap. Some mouse with mushy buttons have a real problem with that. -Works on off-the-shelf AA batteries, either just one, or to double the battery life, two. -It's cordless! That's that, it has so many advantages over corded ones, that alone would be a long list. The response and accuracy is outstanding. The working wireless range to the receiver is ridiculously large, I've tried it from well over 10 feet without any lag or issues. About the software; -The software is downloaded and installed from the Internet from Logitech's website. This is not necessarily bad, since the latest version is ensured that way and a CD is not wasted. -Programming the mouse buttons is easy with a nice visual experience. I've programmed mine with cut and paste operations, the silver ones on top, and comes in very handy. -This is important; the custom settings are stored in the mouse memory, so the mouse can be used on any computer without having to install Logitech's software on other computers. Also, once the custom programming is done, the Logitech process can be ended in Task manager to free up computer memory clutter and does not have to be loaded at startup. Suggestions for improvements and cons; -Does not have sideway scrolling in the wheel. This was not a deal breaker for me, but people should know about it. -Round off the front needle-like shapes on the left and right buttons, they look like you could stab somebody with them. They may break off too if the rodent is dropped just right. -Does not end wars, cure sickness and feed the hungry (come to think of it, used right it just might one day), but for a mouse it's very nice. :)

I'll start off by saying that I like this mouse. It has a smooth glide on my mouse pads, the button functions are easy to reach and easy to use, the speed settings are also easy to use, and I love that it is wireless. As for the wireless, so far, I have used it for a few games and have found it to be very responsive and quick. I've been shy of using wireless mice for anything but the trivial and normal desktop use and never trusted them for active gaming like in FPS. I haven't noticed any lag, the pickup distance is adequate, and it's standby time for response is more than long enough for my type of gameplay. As for all of the buttons... I must admit that I have yet to use them all. This mouse does have more functionality than I currently need. I'm certain I will find a use for those other buttons, but for now, I really cannot comment. The tracking seems to be spot on, from what I can tell. The track speed is easily changed and works well across my Hi-res gaming monitor, as well as my many screens in my multi-monitor setup. However... I have found this mouse to be slightly small for my hand. I don't have the largest hands, but I do wear a size-Large glove, of which I would consider average. There is a little bit of discomfort when it comes to long gaming sessions (for me, that is 3 hours or more). I do wish there was a smooth scroll switch, as I do appreciate being able to use that function on other mice, but I can't say that is really a detractor. It does not advertise having any special scroll features, so I shouldn't expect one, but I do wish it was there. The only other problem I have with this mouse is the physical reconfigurability. No weights and no size adjustment (as I mentioned above, it is just a little too small for my hand). I would have, at the very least, liked to have an option for weights, given that there are two AA batteries powering the mouse. I cannot yet comment on battery life, but I've been using this mouse for several days, now, and have not had to change them. So... that's a plus! Last, the price is excellent. I bought this mouse for less than 40 dollars, and that is a steal. Even with the detractors, you can't really beat this price to performance.

I got this mouse primarily for WOW but I didn't want something that would be too large or annoying for everyday use as well. This works perfectly. The applications of this mouse go beyond just MMO games. Pros: - Slick and comfortable design - Extra mouse keys are programmable to anything you can think of. You can make a single button press of the mouse do a simple key value (like button 1 = "tab") or complex/multi-press (like button 1 = press "shift + tab" then press "t" then release "shift" first then release "tab" and "t") - Software auto-detects what program/game you're playing and changes keymapping - Works great for MMO, FPS, and strategy games. - Works awesome for everyday programs (e.g. web browsers) too. Cons: - I wish the software would detect the program that is in focus rather than simply tell if a program is running. It would be nice to have keybindings for Chrome and then switch to a different set when I'm using Explorer or Word without having to either close or set a persistent profile. - A few times, the software stopped recognizing that I was in a game. I'm not sure why, but it could have been because I had been alt+tabbing out of the game a lot. To remedy this, I just set a persistent profile when I want to be 100% the profile doesn't drop randomly. (Note: this is a rare occurrence) -May not be great for people with smaller hands. My hands are not huge but wife's hands are definitely smaller and she hates this mouse (Full disclosure: she doesn't like the extra buttons either. She likes a simple mouse)

I purchased this mouse for its additional buttons so as to create macros for use in FCPX on Mac. I used it for about 5 days and ultimately returned it for a G502 because of the weight of it was lighter (without the additional weights, obviously), and side scrolling wheel, as well as the ability to have the wheel click on or off. This is very helpful in Editing where timelines can be long. Ultimately the feel of the mouse is a little wider than the G502, and thats both a blessing and a curse; nice because it adds a little relief to the right side of your hand, where the ring and pinky typically hang out and drag on the mousemat, the not so nice -on the top there is a mild ridge that contours the edge of the right mouse button which actually fatigued my hand considerably, which was surprising. Perhaps that as much to do with the weight -Id recommend using a single Lithium cell to run it as they are light weight and very long lasting. Other minor gripe; was the textured top, which has an area of gloss plastic, which looks nice but made my hand sticky at that point. The two end thumb buttons are not buttons at all, bit of a disappointment, seems like wasted space. The G502 I have now, is not perfect either, but that's more to do with the size of my hand, than the actual mouse itself.

I purchased this mouse to replace a cheaper mouse I had at the time. Not that that mouse was bad, I just wanted some extra features, but didn't want the cord attached for them (I use a G600 on my home setup). This mouse was very easy to setup and get going. While it has less buttons to use than my G600, it provides a decent wireless alternative when I'm away. Battery life says 250 hours of use and, so far, that appears to be holding true. The mouse can detect periods of inactivity and turn itself off to conserve power though. The worst thing I can think about his mouse would be the need for the bluetooth receiver connected to your computers usb port. This is sort of an outdated solution to me in an era where this is being built into lower budget mice. While not a deal breaker, it does drop a perfect rating due to this. Overall, I would definitely recommend this mouse for someone who wants extra thumb keys for hot keys in gaming or other uses that you may find.

I bought this because I've had good luck with Logitech mice in the past; their 502 is just about a perfect fit for me. I needed a wireless mouse for portability, and wanted to see if a couple additional buttons would help (that's the one thing I think the 502 is missing). It works very well; I've had no issues with signal, it's recognized quickly, and since I store the profiles on the mouse, it's easy to move from machine to machine. I don't notice a delay when playing FPS, which is what I've heard others complain about. If you're worried about that, don't use the low-power mode, since I think it cuts polling rate in half. It's not as fast as wired mice like the 502, but it's fast enough for me. Battery life hasn't been an issue; I use two batteries in it, and it's gotten about what is advertised. With two batteries, it's a little heavier than how I have my 502 set up, but not so much I notice. I don't play marathon gaming sessions, though. My biggest critique is that doesn't fit my hand as well as the 502. I'm able to easily reach only four of the six thumb buttons (and the extra buttons above the left mouse button) without changing my grip. So while it does everything it's supposed (no complaints there), it's not quite the perfect mouse for me.

I upgraded this from an original G700 wireless gaming mouse, which was horrible. I went through two of them and finally bought the G602 and what a difference! Controls are better, better response, better button control and placement. Wireless receiver has to be fairly close to the mouse or you will get lag, which is the only thing I don't like about it and why I gave it 4 stars. I just plugged it into the included USB extension cable and plugged that into my keyboard usb port and works like a charm. Battery life is excellent so far and love that it uses regular batteries instead of rechargeables. Button placement and programmability is great. Six side buttons are positioned so its easy to tap them with your thumb and easily distinguish between them, Easily programmable with the Logitech gaming software. the two buttons to the left of the LBM default to up/down control of the DPI but can be reprogrammed with the software. I leave it as is because of the games I play. Mouse is comfortable for long uses. I have a big hand and it fits comfortable on mouse for long gaming sessions.

I've had this mouse for about 6 months now and I really like it. There are some issues I see with the design. I have rather large hands and I use a claw grip on my mice. With my grip the way it is I have a lot of trouble reaching the front left/top 2 buttons. I also have some issues reaching the first 2 side buttons. I have actually tried to change my grip to a palm grip. Ever since I switched I can reach all of the buttons but it just isn't as comfortable as my old grip. As for the wireless, it works flawless. I don't notice any input lag. The software you download to configure the dpi and button layout is very easy to use. I wish there was a profile switch on the mouse. You have to go into the software to change the profile. This mouse it pretty heavy but in a good way. It glides well and isn't so heavy that is strains you after hours of gaming. I have about 5 profiles for this mouse 7 Days to Die/Photoshop/After Effects/Premiere/3Ds Max and it works very will for games as well as productivity/editing.

After ruining my previous mouse, I wanted to get a mouse that was a step up from my prior Logitech, mainly to have more keybinds for gaming. When I get too many buttons and macros, they become annoying to remember and it's easy to hit the wrong one. This mouse strikes a nice balance. The weight of this is just right too; it's neither too hefty or too light. The contours on this make it a comfortable fit, even though a have small hands. It's held up exceptionally well to my clumsy drops on the floor, which is what took the prior mouse out. This would easily be a five star mouse if it was not for one issue that makes me crazy. It often decides to ignore one of the settings that benefits gamers, to auto-detect macros to match specific games. I have to open the setting every single time and toggle it, which is an annoyance, but a small one that I'd wager Logitech might fix. I also wonder if this conflict is not caused by using Discord voice chat, so maybe Logitech is not to blame.

Got this on sale ($45). Overall it's a solid gaming mouse- works fantastic and is a much better value than some overpriced $90 gaming mouse. DPI is great, L/R buttons and scroll wheel are great. It has two DPI buttons which I never really use- once I found a setting I liked I stuck with it. The six customizable buttons on the side are good. They're a bit small vertically, which can make it difficult to distinguish between the first and second row, but they get the job done. The second and third column are a bit far back, meaning you really have to life your thumb to get to them. Not the best placement, but it still works. I don't have much problem using them for f/c/v in Titanfall. The mouse is also a bit larger than I'm used to, which might be problematic if you have small hands. For the first few days my hand would get tired using the mouse for a multi-hour gaming session, but I did get used to it. With all that being said this is still a great mouse that I would recommend if the price is reasonable. It's a much better value than buying some $90 gaming mouse. Gets the job done.

I've been using this mouse for a while now and I like the customization it offers. There are plenty of buttons to alter for games like csgo that should make playing more efficient. Because it's wireless there are no cords that will get caught on your desk while moving the mouse around. The battery life lets you game for hours and the endurance mode makes this thing last even longer for regular use. Because it is wireless you have to be careful about where you place the usb receiver. Place it too far and you might experience some choppiness while you play. There is an included usb extension cord to help place the receiver as close to the mouse as possible. While battery life is long, it will eventually run out so you may take that into consideration, especially if you're thinking about cost long-term. Overall, I am pretty happy with how this mouse has performed so far.

Bought this mouse for my boyfriend who initially loved the design. After using we both agree the shape of the mouse is very comfortable and the wireless is nice. The buttons on the side of the mouse are easy to use but some of them are not configurable by default (they are fixed to certain mouse controls), and you need to download software from logitech in order to change these (which isn't included in the package and the instructions don't make that clear at first look). Also the top buttons on the left click are in a very awkward place to reach while gaming. They are also defaulted to change DPI of the mouse upon clicking. This could be a useful feature but the DPI changing is so dramatic I doubt one would want to do this mid game. Again you need to download certain software to reprogram those buttons. Nice mouse in all, good sensitivity and shape, however buttons are not as conveniently placed as some other gaming mice (like the naga)

The Logitech G602 is a fantastic entry-level gaming mouse if you've never used a wireless mouse before. I have used a Razer Deathadder 2013 for the last five years and finally decided to try out wireless gaming mice. Response time feels great. There are only a few small things that hold this back from being a 5-star gaming mouse. First, it's heavy. The batteries sit on-board the mouse, so it is not light enough to use for competitive gaming. The only other problem is that Logitech's configuration app does not allow for a completely modular mouse, instead allowing you to choose from presets and game profiles. It took me a long time to adjust and even now I still use my old Deathadder at times. If it's your first wireless mouse, I'd recommend it. If you've used others before, I doubt you'll be happy with this one.

I bought this mouse along with g502. I needed mouse that is wireless, work on hard surface, comfy on grip, and several key to map keyboard setting. This mouse is not perfect, but serves quite well. I have really small hands and this mouse was bit big for me. This was minus star for me! However, everything else works perfect! You can manage battery by switching gaming mod and balance mod. you have 6 side key to map keyboard keys like Tab, Copy(ctrl+c),P aste(ctrl+v), page up&down and so on! This G602 have onboard memory! It means that you can install Logitech software at home, do setting, bring to work place and use without software installed on work computer. This comes really handy if your work computer is old and slow (Computers which can not afford anymore background memeory on there system). Only if this mouse was smaller, it would been 5 star item for me.

First off this mouse is great for gaming for the price, the freedom from being wireless is excellent (especially if you have a extra large mouse pad). This freedom helps especially if you like fps games and also like a low sensitivity. Extremely responsive and it's battery life is superb. The on the fly dpi setting is very convenient also for when I go from gaming to browsing the web with a simple press of a button on the mouse. The only problem I had with the mouse was when I would try to program the keys on the mouse, they would configure how I wanted them to for one game but go back to something wonky for another game, even when I configured the buttons to a generic set for every game. After some tinkering I finally got it all worked out. I forget how I did it but I kind of remember resetting the mouse and the mouse program several times. All in all this mouse is worth it if your looking for a wireless mouse and like to have more than 5 buttons on your mouse.

Took me a while to buy a mouse. I do some gaming, but am not hardcore. I do quite a bit of photoshop and design, with a lot of photo retouching as well, but I'm not a graphic artist. I needed a mouse with good resolution and the ability to hit fine detail where i wanted it to. This mouse did the trick. With variable resolution options, you can dial it down for word processing, up for gaming and high for graphic manipulation. The mouse is comfortable and has a number of programmable buttons that i have found invaluable for repetitive tasks. Battery life so far has been very good. My only problem with the mouse is that any tiny hair or decent size dust speck sets the tracking off and must be cleaned, which is fine. This mouse, however, is not the easiest design in the world to clean. Best used with a mouse pad of good quality and a clean, non dusty environment.

I originally bought the Logitech Wireless Wave MK550 (keyboard mouse combo). I upgraded the keyboard to a Logitech G710 keyboard and finally decided to upgrade the mouse as well. Out of the box, the mouse has a nice hefty feel to it. Button spacing is good and even with all the macro keys, misclicks are rare. After installing the software, the mouse was able to detect the Logitech software and macros that I had been using for gaming + office apps so it was quick and easy to get everything integrated into my computer environment. The issue with the Logitech software is that it works better with some applications/games than others. If you're buying the mouse to use for only one specific game/application, you may be disappointed if it's not fully supported; however, if you take the time to setup macros to automate most of your computer tasks, you'll find the mouse as a nice upgrade/companion to other Logitech products.

Logitech does it again - I've had this for a few weeks and the size, shape, feel of it are great. I'm using this on my main living room system and the wireless is great. I mostly use this to watch DVDs and stream, but have used it for a bit of gaming. It works well for me in all the above but I must admit, I'm really not using it to its full potential. I haven't changed the dpi on the fly or mapped the other keys on the left side (aside from forward/back in web browsing). I love the energy savings mode (that will help extend my batteries). I had been using an m705 from Logitech for the last 4+ years and loved it's ability to extend the life of batteries. This mouse feels better to me. The only thing I miss is the ability to turn turn on the free-spin functionality of the center wheel; however that's not a deal breaker as I would only use it on long websites or doc/spreadsheets occasionally.

As a gamer, i've never been fond of wireless mice. I don't trust the lag, response time, etc. Of course, i'm old and cantankerous. I was mid-game and too drunk to drive, so I had the wife swing by Best Buy on the way home to grab a new mouse. After texting images, model #'s and etc. back and forth, I settled on this one and decided to give an optical mouse a chance. It's been a few years, after all. I've been really surprised with the response time, and the ability to adjust on the fly is a big plus. I've been able to continually dominate in Hello Kitty Adventure Island as well as Dr. J and Larry Bird One on One. Overall, great product; the ergodynamics are still a bit hard to adjust to, and I do wish it had a counterweight adjustment device, but for the money, it's a great mouse. And it's scotch-proof (i can't confirm that).

    Great Mouse, Snaggy Battery door

This mouse serves it's purpose very well. Fast refresh rate means one can be hyper precise for one's no scope headshots, comfortable design, can change what each button on the side does with logitech's software. My one and only complaint with it is the battery door which receives a star off from me. If you use a a textured mouse pad like I do, the clip of the battery door snags on the mouse pad which absolutely horrendous. I'll keep the mouse as a back up as it's absolutely wonderful, but because of the battery door snaggy issues, it hinders my gaming performance horrendously. TL;DR - Great office use mouse, don't use with a textured textile mousepad.
