So I didnt really NEED a new mouse, but I've never had an actual WIRELESS gaming mouse, and with the reviews and the sale price I thought what the heck. Just to give you an idea of the type of use my mice (I have a few) go through, I game on PC approximately 4-5 hours about 4 days a week, and about 10 hours on the weekend. So my mice tend to generally get used a lot. The games vary from MMO's to FPS, so a mouse that is comfortable and precise are both things that I look for in a gaming mouse. Up to now I used about 3 different mice, all of which had their uses. I used a Logitech G600 MMO gaming mouse, a logitech G9 gaming mouse, and I rarely used my Razer Death Adder mouse (just wasn't comfortable). Out of the first two I loved the G9 the best, but unfortunately I wore it out. I was hard pressed to find a mouse I liked after that..that is, until I bought the G602. This mouse is fantastic. Feels great, left and right click are responsive, precision is great, weight also feels good (no physical weights like the G9 had, but you have the option to use 1 or 2 batteries depending on your preference), and what I thought would be the best part NO WIRES. Now, don't get me wrong no wires is fantastic, but the thing that sticks out the most is the BATTERY LIFE! This mouse has two modes, Performance and Endurance. Performance obviously turns up the dpi (to a very nice 2500 dpi) for fast response and accuracy, and also a whopping 250 battery life (with two batteries). You CAN change it to Endurance mode of you want more life out of it, BUT the mouse does turn itself off, stretching that potential 250 hours out. I bought this mouse on June 14, 2014 and today is July 18. I have YET to loose one bar on the battery. That's impressive. All in all I am super happy with this purchase. I am almost tempted to buy another in case the next model sky rockets if Logitech figures out the value people are getting out of this. Also I am using this on a windows 8.1 OS in case you were wondering about compatibility. One SMALL negative is using the wireless adapter. It didn't like the USB port I initially plugged it in to, and I ended up using the extension and connecting it to a USB port directly connected to the motherboard.. No problems whatsoever after that.

I first got this mouse in 2014, 1-day after purchasing a mid-grade HP laptop. As my needs have changed over the past four years, this mouse has been able to adapt well. I used the software to program the mouse buttons for quick macros in File Explorer and apps I use to programming. The on-board game profiles made this very easy. The software must be downloaded from Logitech and don't make my mistake of somehow missing a major update before noticing you have to reinstall the newer version. On the gaming end, it survived through 300+ hours of Minecraft, 100 hours of Overwatch, and 1000 hours of Counter-Strike. The built-in DPI switch is useful (less in-game and more when switching between games or apps). The optical sensor is very accurate and responds well to flick movements. The 3 adhesive bands that surround the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse wore out quickly (I finished wish only 1 of the 3 remaining)--as soon as it starts to detach, the friction against the mousepad tears it off but I don't see any difference in performance. The auto-sleep helps conserve battery life. In my mouses 4-year lifetime I changed its 2 AA batteries 19-22 times. Not a problem if you have rechargeable batteries. It would have been nice to have the option to plug a wire into a USB port and the front of the mouse (in between the buttons) to charge an onboard battery or get a boost in response time but that is not an option on this device. The mouse has a Performance Mode and an Endurance Mode toggled by the switch on top. I tried using both and determined that (for me) Performance was worth it for the small difference of one hour or two. The sleep function really helps to conserve the battery when you leave it on and I would say that is more helpful than Endurance Mode. After 4 years of heavy usage I have finally managed wear out the mouse buttons and my next mouse purchase will be the Logitech G602. I actively, highly recommend this to friends.

    Awesome mouse for FPS gaming

As a die-hard wired mouse gamer, I was reluctant to get a wireless mouse. My fear was poor range and that dreaded input lag. There is none. I don't mean "barely any", I mean that I cannot tell that it's wireless. The input is just as fast as my wired gaming mice. As for the range, I can use it 6 feet away without any trouble, and if it does get sketchy beyond a certain range, the included USB extension will solve that problem. Now, with a wireless keyboard and this awesome wireless mouse, I can sit on the couch and dominate on BF4 in total comfort without missing any of my shots. The tracking is superb, as it would be with any other optical gaming mouse. Between my G400s and this G602, I now prefer the G602. Pretty much the same superb, smooth, and accurate tracking (I think they use the same sensor). It's comfortable for both "claw" grip and full-on palm grip. Can run on just one battery for a little less weight (it's lightweight with both batteries but I prefer it lighter). This doesn't affect performance, because the batteries are installed in parallel, so 1 battery gives 125 hours of life, and 2 batteries gives you 250 hours. Adjustable DPI setting using the 2 very easy to reach buttons next to the left-click makes it easy to steady my shots or if need-be, crank it up while I'm flying jets. Overall, I'm extremely impressed, and I'm not easy to please when it comes to gaming mice.

I love this mouse. I've had more or less every iteration of Logitech's gaming mice...the G7, the G700, and then the G700s briefly. The G602 is slightly flatter, which I appreciate. The strong curve of the 700 makes it harder to use the mouse "claw" style"...you more or less have to palm grip it. Since the 602 is flatter it gives you more of an option in terms of how to hold it...which also makes it better for marathon sessions since you can change your hand position to avoid getting tired. I was a little concerned that there would be button overload along the left side...since this mouse basically does away with anyy buttons on the top or right side (there are buttons on the top but they're all related to DPI changes by default). However, in practice I've found that I even prefer this setup. What it comes down to mostly is I *need* my index finger nearly 100% of the time for the left click, so having alternate buttons for my index finger make it difficult to continue using the left click at the same time. Obviously my thumb has no issues with that. It is easy to distinguish the 6 buttons from one another as well. The thing that really takes the cake about this mouse is the battery life. Despite being able to charge the g700 of the fly, and use it at the same time, I found that I would often just leave it plugged in because I kept running out of battery at the most inopportune moments (of course). And it happened rather frequently...I'd run out of juice every other day or so. I don't like having to remember to plug it in at the end of a session. Having 250 hours out of a battery (which can also be rechargeable anyway), is WAY better than the 12 hours from the g700. My last concern was that the lack of DPI (the g700s as slightly better DPI at max settings), but in use, I found I couldnt really tell much of a difference. Since the G602 is typically cheaper...I'd say it's a hands down better mouse.

This wireless mouse is awesome! i cant believe what i got for the price that ive paid. build quality better than i thought, all the buttons clicks nicely without any weird noise or signs if they are not gonna last long and the finish is very nice, nice comliment for my alienware r315! it deffinetelly looks more expensive than it is. now since i dont really game that much anymore, but ive tried some games like rise of the tomb raider and this mouse just perform verywell almost without any lag at all! now to be honest if i game id preffer using my xbox controller anyways so if you play games using mouse and keyboard my opinion might be not enough reason for you to consider getting this mouse. my main purpose using the mouse is to edit photos and videos, and man there are so many buttons on it that i dont even think ill be using them anytime soon or even ever.LOL i saw the picture on the box it has many buttons so i thought maybe i could program those buttons to work with adobe premiere and some other photo editing softwares, but untill today i havent found a way to do it and i dont think its possible. but for what i paid for it, id keep it. i just wish id be a little bit lighter but hey, if its too light id wouldnt be called gaming mouse.

I've always been against wireless mice, but this one is great. It's nice not having the wire altering the position of the mouse. And I get a great amount of life out of a single battery. Two batteries makes the mouse a little too heavy for my preference. AA, that is. The thumb buttons are a little oddly shaped, I wish they were a tiny bit easier to push and easier to distinguish which one you're touching, like having a notch on them like the F and J keys do. But it's nice having several thumb buttons. The naga was way too many, and I pushed them all every time I tried moving the mouse around. The scroll wheel button is really awesome, it has a nice click to it. Not too easy, not too hard. Scrolling is also awesome and spot on. I forget to turn it off all the time though, it gets great battery life considering that though. And it notifies me when it hits 20% and 5% so I'm not that jerk gamer who kills the group due to mouse battery failure. The ergonomics are really awesome. It has a mini thumb ledge rest area. I also really like the two buttons by my pointer finger. They have a nice response and I never hit them accidentally. I bound them to abilities in WoW. The software could be a little more simple = less things to move to change the precision/cursor speed. I guess if you understand what you're doing it would make it easier. But I haven't taken that time to figure it out. I like the windows method for that function. I had to redo my sensitivity settings when I moved my computer, for some reason. Shrug. I love it though. It's great. My past mice: G5 - I loved the thumb buttons on this one! And having a dedicated voice chat button that was set apart from the rest was amazing. MX518 - also great, but too simple for my needs. Razer Naga Some other earliest model Razer mouse

What really helps set the G602 apart is the balance it strikes between customizing, function, and feel. There seems to be just the right amount of hot keys for gaming; 6 right by the thumb, and their shape is the best for click confirmation and eliminating accidental clicks. Optical accuracy is excellent, and on-the-fly DPI changes are wonderful for both gaming and CAD work when extra precision is needed. Picked this up during Black Friday for $40, and it has proven to be easily worth its full retail value. As a side note, I tend to be a fingertip/light palm gamer, use random surfaces or specifically designed pads for optics, and regularly switch between laptop and desktop use. It has been exceedingly comfortable to use in all situations. Desktop functionality is through WIN7, 3 monitors. Laptop is through a Lenovo Y510p, also WIN7, and a 13" MacBook Pro, 2015, still on Yosemite. Excellent functionality on all platforms, and I'm a big fan of the extremely tiny footprint of the USB dongle; also enjoy that it can be safely stored inside the mouse for transit. Software use is primarily Autodesk, SolidWorks, and occasional Photoshop use; emphasis on general 3D modeling and 2D circuit drawings. Gaming involves RTS, FPS, and MOBA genres, with the occasional RPG and Minecraft shenanigans in the mix. After 3 weeks of solid daily use, I'm still on the manufacturer supplied Duracell batteries. Can only assume they have a lot of life left in them. Will likely switch to rechargeable versions later on.

Well, the five star rating should pretty much say it all. I own a G900 Chaos Spectrum which is a good product, one that I gave four stars and I am reluctant to part with. However, the 900 simply didn't have enough programmable buttons, so I looked around feverishly for something that fulfilled this need. I researched a lot of gaming mice but in the end, this modestly priced older product was where I decided to pitch my tent and am I ever glad I did. I put A LOT of hours in on my gaming (many more than a healthy person should) and this mouse, which is in use a minimum of 12 hours a day (don't judge) has been on the same triple A batteries since day one! That's over two months of virtual constant use and the battery indicator still shows 33% battery life remaining!!! That's insane. The G602 is comfortable in my rather large hand, it's buttons are, for the most part (the placement of the G6 and G9 buttons could be improved), well placed and easily programmed via the Logitech Gaming Software. The G602s slower response time than it's counterpart the G900 Chaos (which is 400% more expensive) is imperceivable to me and certainly has NO effect on my gaming. The bottom line is, I simply like everything about this mouse better. Yes, I'll be keeping my G900 as a back up, but like any bench sitter, it will get very limited playtime. The G602 has earned it's permanent spot in my starting line-up.

After using this mouse for the past several years I'm come to appreciate just how handy it is. For the price, it's not beatable. Being able to program 9 extra buttons besides the basics makes it so versatile, I know it'd added to my ability manage more projects at once. A primary example is setting up the keys G10 and G11 to switch between desktops (which I would recommend anyone with this mouse) allows me to have more screens than a person should probably have. Along with the button mapping, is how comfortable the mouse is - amazing with all the button placements. I'm a big Razer fan, and by no means am I a gamer, I use this strictly for work purposes - however I like to try new tech and have repeatedly come back to his mouse even after spending well over $100 on a Razer mouse. Simply put, after years of using I've started to get this mouse for other employees and haven't had a complaint yet.

I needed/wanted a new mouse since my last several wireless mice would act intermittently. When dragging a scroll bar the button would act like I had released it, and I would have to keep clicking on the bar. Even more frustrating when dragging folders or files, as they would be dropped in a mystery folder if I didn't see when this happened. Highlighting text was a nightmare. The solution? This mouse! It comes with a usb extension cable for the receiver that you set as close as you can to the mouse, so there is a better signal. This gives the mouse the response of a wired mouse, but without the wire getting in the way. I have mine sitting behind the monitor, can't even see it. The quick adjust buttons for dpi have actually been really useful, since you can change sensitivity on the fly depending on which program you are using. And the buttons on the left by the thumb work pretty well for games, without even setting them up. Most games use 1,2,3, etc... for weapons. These buttons are already set up as numbers, so I have been using these straight out of the box. Great price compared to super user gaming mouse as well. **DISCLAIMER** Best Buy offers 25 reward points for reviews, so that is 50 cents in points that I am getting for this review! 80 more reviews and I'll be able to buy a backup mouse.

This is a great mouse for at this price point. It's pretty comfortable in the hand and has a good number of programmable buttons. Now for the downside... As soon as you try to install this on a windows 8 (or higher) machine, windows will install it's own generic driver. This renders all of the extra modes and programmable buttons useless. I searched for hours for a solution. I tried different versions of the Logitech software. I read some people were doing fresh installs of windows, just to get the mouse to function, spending hours trying to find registry errors, etc... Don't bother with any of it. It's not going to work. Read on for instructions that work. Go to the control panel>Device manager>[find your mouse]>right click>properties>update driver. When the dialog box pops up, choose "Browse My Computer For Driver Software." Then, click browse and navigate to to where the "Logitech Gamming Software" is located. In the case of a standard install, it will be located in C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software. Finally, click next. Done! It should now be listed as Logitech Gaming Receiver in the device manager. Open the Logitech Gaming Software. You should now be able to use all of the functions of the mouse.

I bought this mouse for my gaming computer which in the living room connected to my 60" TV. Running a keyboard and mouse was always an issue because of the cable of the mouse got in the way of things. So I decided to try this Logitech G602. Wow, it is perfect in my opinion. It allows up to 2500 dpi which works very well for the FPS games I play, though some like 6000 - 8000 dpi which I think is to sensitive, but the Logitech allows me to go to a low, medium or high (250, adj ,2500) setting if I want and it includes 6 programmable buttons which are perfect for anything you want fast access to. My keyboard is a wired one so I just piggy back the mouse cable and usb receiver that came with the Logitech to it and the Logitech works without a problem. I liked this mouse so much that I bought a second one for the other computer and I will buy one for my laptop too. If your looking for a great ergonomic mouse this is a perfect solution. I wish other "gaming mouse(s)" were as comfortable like this Logitech. The latency is 2ms which I couldn't notice playing Overwatch or Battlefield 1 and other Steam games, it felt better in my hand than my corded mouse.

I've been using Logitech mice for many years. The mouse I use these days must have several characteristics before I use them. First, they need programmable buttons. I am a heavy PC gamer, so having the ability to program various buttons at my fingertips is something I've become accustomed to and can't play without anymore. Second, it must be comfortable. Third, it needs reliable tracking. A distant fourth, it should look cool. My previous mouse was a Logitech G700, which was amazing, especially on its debut. But after three years of use, it started tracking horribly. Also, wireless mode had terrible battery life, about 2-3 days. I searched for a better mouse worthy of my desk. I have found it in this G602. The DPI capabilities of this mouse are far below the G700. You know what? It doesn't affect my gaming performance. This mouse tracks great and has the on-the-fly adjustable DPI today's gaming mice demand. The six thumb buttons are even more useful than the G700's four, and a little more comfortable. I have this mouse set on Eco mode (I don't notice any difference in performance) and the battery life is out of this world! Going about 2 months now and still shows all bars full! Love it! The aesthetic is sleeker; still tech heavy yet elegant. It really is a lovely mouse, and has become the favorite of all that I've owned.

Got this mouse after returning this same product that I got from Amazon. Considering the price for a gaming mouse, this is impressive. Pros: - size on hand. Good fit, more on the big side. All buttons are reachable including the custom gaming buttons - responsiveness and endurance. There is a noticeable response between performance mode and endurance mode, and even on performance mode, it didn't run out of battery yet out of the battery it came with. - gaming buttons. For this price range, the custom gaming buttons are usable. The Logitech program needed to be downloaded, which should not be an issue, especially if the computer's hooked on the internet to download it. Cons: - DPI - this is only limited to 2500 DPI, which is still adjustable on lower DPIs. For some games or monitors with higher resolution, you might need a mouse with a higher DPI. Overall: For this price range, this a good price for a gaming mouse. The low DPI rate is something to consider, but other than the fact that this is a gaming mouse from a high end brand, with build quality and great performance.

First off, if you're looking for a small, light-weight mouse, this is not it. It's a full sized mouse that feels perfectly at home as your main mouse. I mainly got it to use with a laptop because I prefer the larger feel of it over the "travel" mice. I like having the option to switch between the high-performance and eco mode (or whatever they call it). Most of the time I'm just doing business tasks with it so I keep it in "green" mode to lengthen battery life. Which is another thing I like about it. It has a long battery life and if it does die, it takes standard AA batteries, so I can quickly swap in some new ones. I'm still not totally used to all the G keys on the side. I like the added options, but the forward and backwards (for web browsing) are mapped there and it's easy to click the wrong key with your thumb. It's now awful, but it takes a little getting used to. Being able to set and change DPI on the mouse is super easy, so that's good. I have a G502 wired mouse as well and the G602 definitely feels heavier, has a larger arc to it (more ergonomic?), and feels like it takes a bit more force (not much) to left click. Overall, I enjoy the mouse and it performs excellent. I don't think I would make it my primary gaming mouse, but its nice to have "gaming performance" baked into my "work" mouse. You never know when that might come in handy.

I've owned a fair share of Logitech mice. For the past three years I've opted for the minimalist T400 Touch Mice and M510 for general productivity and mobility which are fine devices but for specific instances of gaming beyond 20 minutes in FPS (which usually require fast movements and clicks), ergonomics matter. That's why G602 is darn good. It glides easy on my wooden matte desk and the input lag is non-existent as others have noted. Overall, it offers plenty of options and from a design-build quality, it's got my confidence. I usually stayed away from gaming mice due to their price, but at this price point, its value is definitely there. I honestly don't notice the weight (with two AAs) since it glides easily, and realistically, how often are you actually picking up the mouse between movements? The sensitivity and range is perfect for me in that this device stays in place on my desktop. Battery consumption on my Logitech devices rarely need swapping out, we'll see how this rates with its 250hr claim, but I'm not worried. Kudos to the staff at Best Buy who knew their stuff and recommended this. I had to do research after and picked it up at the same store during my next stop in.

I actually first read about this G602 as a viable option for pc first shooter games on a blog online. The reviewer made a top 10 list of wireless gaming mouse from various brands, including extremely high end brands(above $150). He mentioned this mouse at its original price being the best option for the price as well as a top 3 choice due to its durability, multiple DPI settings as well as its build quality. And I agree 100%. I started getting back into CS GO and wanted a wired gaming mouse with multi DPI settings and found an off brand on Amazon for half the price of this one. After careful consideration, and the drop in price from Best Buy, I bit the bullet and bought this one. I'm happy I did. Not only is the build quality exceptionally better than the wired mouse, it also has great response with more buttons and a smoother glide and fit to the hand. The DPI range is wide enough to accommodate most and I've had no trouble adapting to the sensitivity at a higher setting. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a high quality wireless mouse at a decent price. It's the perfect size as well. It comes with 2 AA batteries but I opted for rechargeable and on one charge, have lasted over 3 weeks with about 10-15 hours per week of play. So this mouse really doesn't drain much battery.

Jokes aside, this is absolutely a direct upgrade to any standard mice, wired or wireless. There may be some differences between wired and wireless, but the gap has never been shorter. I personally think this is the perfect mouse, but that's just me. The thumb rest is good. The buttons are in okay spots and there are enough of them. I haven't personally felt any response delay time. The scroll wheel is responsive. The Logitech Gaming Software is FANTASTIC. If you use 2 AA rechargeable batteries (batteries and charger sold separately), it's basically immortal. Duracell is the way to go. I like the design, even though the box picture is awful (see my picture). Not sure if you like your mouse? Buy this one and start liking your (new) mouse!

I mainly purchased this mouse to use at work. Why a gaming mouse? Because it looks much cooler than the plain and simple mice used by most people, it’s also pretty portable. The little USB adapter can be stored on the bottom part of the mouse, so it won’t get lost as easily- the USB adapter is really tiny, so you can even leave it in the computer all the time. All the buttons on the mouse that are meant for short keys when gaming, can be programmed to do things in most apps, like Office. Unlike traditional mice, which only have 2, maybe 3, buttons; with a gaming mouse once can program the many buttons to open commonly used apps, toggle between tabs, to copy/past, etc. Sure, it might not seems like a big deal hitting just one button, vs Ctrl + Tab on a keyboard; but, being able to just click the one mouse button makes one more productive and it’s easier on the hands.

Price to performance this is probably the best mouse for gaming. It has 6 buttons on the side where your thumb rests which can be preset to custom functions like keystrokes and macros. It also has 2 buttons by the left click which are preset to increase and decrease the dpi and has 3 led lights that show what dpi setting you are currently on. The buttons can also be customized to perform other functions through Logitechs software that you download from their website. Now to talk about performance. It handles extremely well under many hours of gameplay. It is great for both MMO style games and Fps as well. This is a great mouse for someone who wants one mouse for all kinds of games and not just one genre. All in all this is definitely worth getting and I hope this review helps.
