This is a great, portable, high quality mouse.. It's expensive, which is why i'm giving it 4/5. Matches the other Aurora collection products perfectly. It's also able to pair up with the Aurora G715 keyboard with a single dongle.

Cute mouse and does what it’s supposed to but not as smooth as I wanted. Sometimes the arrow doesn’t move as fast as the mouse and I end up having to pick up the mouse a little and move it and put it down.

Comfortable, Customizable and Quality in the G705

Logitech has produced a new line of computer peripherals that are quality made, with unique looks and a high standard of quality for gaming: The Aurora Collection. There are 3 vital pieces in the set: G715 Keyboard, G735 Headset and the G705 Gaming Mouse. I am going to dig in and review the G705 Gaming Mouse.
First Impressions
The G705 Gaming Mouse (which I will refer to it as the G705 gaming mouse) has soft “pillow soft” like lines and a unique look. It utilizes LIGHTSYNC RGB technology, so you always have some cool colors running through the veins of the mouse. It’s a little smaller than I am used to, made comfortable for smaller hands. It is still smooth to the touch and feel. I have medium hands and have no trouble operating the G705 mouse. In fact, I loved the “Thumb Rest” on the left side. It allowed the hand to relax more when using for gaming, surfing the web or word processing. My hand felt like a part of the G705 gaming mouse as I used it. It is solid, lightweight (around 85 Grams) and has excellent optical tracking. It also really is a smooth moving gaming mouse with its “sliding feet.” The buttons have a minimal sound and a quick “light snap” to them. I would expect nothing less from a gaming mouse and I was pleased.
LogitechG.com/GHUB
“Customization” separates the G705 gaming mouse from the pack. The six buttons, LIGHTSYNC RGB with custom “16.8 million colors,” as well as the DPI (dots per inch) can all be set to your liking with the G Hub software. I downloaded the Logitech G Hub for windows and got right into the software. I adjusted the on-screen DPI to my liking at for the G705 gaming mouse at 1000 DPI, choose a color scheme I thought was cool and programmed the buttons for how I wanted to use them for my gaming. The real treat is the fact you can set up a profile for the G705 gaming mouse for individual games! That is really above and beyond what I have seen gaming mouse do. It is an easy process that is outlined in the G Hub. The G Hub leads you step by step into your preferences on the G705 gaming mouse.
Features set A
The RGB lighting is noticeably vibrant and colorful. The scroll wheel has a “Tacky feel” to it (which is a positive). It moved easily but I would have liked to have it turn a little more with fluidly. There are 6 buttons: two on the front (left, right), pressing down on the scroll wheel, the button just behind the scroll wheel and two buttons above the thumb on the left side. The other buttons I used as a more conventional mouse would present.
Features set B
You can get about 40 gaming hours with the LIGHTSYNC RGB in full mode while using the G705 gaming mouse in Bluetooth. You can also use the G705 gaming mouse corded. The cord is plenty long and made of a soft but rubber material that is easy to tie off and reduce clutter on the desktop. Using Bluetooth, you won’t have to worry about too many wires because of the USB receiver. I have never seen both a corded or wireless version on a gaming mouse. I think it is really nice to have the option. And yet, there is another option - “LIGHTSPEED”. This allows the user to have two devices running off the one connection USB receiver. This is extremely convenient for both space and use.
Charging
On one end of the cord is an USB Type C (mouse) to a USB Type A connection. To recharge the G705 gaming mouse plug in the Type C into the front of the mouse and attach the Type A into a port that will charge it. It takes about 3 hrs to charge for 40 hours of gaming. My G705 gaming mouse did charge faster than at about 2 hrs 40 mins. There is a green circular light on top of the G705 gaming mouse. When it flashes green the mouse is charging and when it is solid green, it’s fully charged.
Games
The point and click games like the Stronghold Crusaders HD (classic but still challenging), Gems of War (not highly technical but accuracy and speed are important), Age of Empires HD 2013 edition (another classic) and Bejeweled (accuracy and speed) offer better game play with the G705 gaming mouse.
The Aurora Collection’s G705 gaming mouse from Logitech has the “G Hub software.” This is where the G705 gaming mouse really become an extension of your hand. This gaming mouse with the quality that is built-in, quick click customizable buttons, comfort shape for small, oriented hands, changeable DPI, cord or cordless use and RGB coloring and makes this a vital tool, in gaming and many other computer orientated tasks.

Compact, Comfortable and Colorful Gaming Mouse

I have tried lots of gaming mice and this one is by far one of the best. When I rest my hand on the mouse it feels comfortable and part of this is due to the well defined thumb rest. I game a lot on a laptop and using a full sized gaming mouse can be a pain if you don’t have a decent size table or desk. This mouse because of its size is perfect for carrying around in a backpack and gaming on the run.
I have average sized hands, I wear a large glove and I still find this mouse very comfortable when gaming. The mouse is sloped and curved so that you can use either a palm or claw grip but in a palm grip my fingers do extend over the front of the mouse. The curve on the left side of the mouse is more aggressive giving you more room for the thumb rest which makes gripping this mouse feel natural. There isn’t any type of rubberized grips on the sides but the plastic there does have some texture to help with the grip. At 85 gms it’s a light weight but it feels solid and responsive during game play. This mouse is totally configurable using the Logitech’s G Hub software. You can reconfigure the 6 buttons, set the dpi and choose from numerous RGB patterns and colors. The buttons all feel solid and provide good feedback when pressed. They are not quiet switches but I would say they are comparable to other Logitech and gaming mice that I have used. The switch behind the wheel allows you to choose from three different dpi settings which you can set in the G Hub, the default setting is 800, 1600 and 3200. Each setting has a defined LED color so when you push the button you get visual confirmation what you have selected. The RGB lighting is provided by 3 LED arrays in the rear half of the mouse. You can customize the lighting by choosing the color and picking from the four included modes. Because the lighting is under the palm area of the mouse most of the lighting is covered by your hand when in use. Also in G Hub you can configure profiles and macros for gaming functions. Logitech gives you several options on connecting the mouse. You can use the included Lightspeed USB receiver, Bluetooth or the supplied USB cable. Note that you can access the G Hub and change the mouse configurations in all three connection options. The included USB cable can also be used for providing a wired extension for the USB receiver as well as charging the mouse. The mouse has a USB-C port which is used for charging the battery but also can be used to connect to your pc instead of using the wireless options. The battery should last for 40 hours between charges even when using the RGB lighting. The only negative about this mouse is that there is no built in storage for the USB receiver when you are using Bluetooth.

About the Logitech G705 Wireless Gaming Mouse
The Logitech G705 is a wireless optical gaming mouse from Logitech’s Aurora Collection. It’s a smaller size mouse built for gaming and boasts a softer RGB lighting with white casing. It has a 40-hour battery life and Bluetooth connectivity.
What It Comes With
The packaging includes the wireless mouse, the Lightspeed receiver, a USB extender, and charging cord.
The Set-up
Set-up is pretty easy. It can be used as plug and play with the cord or wireless with the Lightspeed receiver. It’s recommended to download the Logitech G Hub software. This will give you full control over things like RGB lighting effects, DPI speed, and button assignments. There are tutorials for the G Hub software to give a quick overview of what it has to offer.
Appearance and Scale
This is a smaller sized mouse which doesn’t work for me since I have large hands. My wife however thought that this was a great size for her, so guess who will be using the mouse. She connected with it immediately due to the contour and size, and was also attracted to the style. She found the white casing pleasant as it’s a far departure from the typical black and gray mice that we normally buy. The lighting was soft and fully customizable.
It is part of the Aurora Collection, so if you like the appearance of the mouse you can also purchase a matching keyboard (G715), headset (G735), and microphone (Blue Yeti). The keyboard has a cloud shaped palm rest.
Use
The battery life is expected to be roughly 40 hours, which I have no reason to believe that the lithium ion battery wouldn’t support. There are also features to save the battery, such as a timed turn off in case you forget to manually turn it off.
The mouse is lightweight and is geared for gaming. The maximum sensitivity is at 8200 dots per inch. Clicking is quick due to the Lightspeed connection. There are 6 programmable buttons and this mouse is set up for right-handed use.
Overall
This mouse isn’t made for everyone because of its small size. At the same time, the small size combined with its numerous other features begin to target specific crowds really well. Logitech offers a truly distinctive product here and it seems to be well-done.

Great "little" mouse!

The Logitech G705 Aurora Collection Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse is a delight to use ... with a caveat or two. I have been a long-time user of Logitech products both for gaming and for general use/business. Though this mouse is marketed as a "gaming mouse," I found it to be more enjoyable to use as my day-to-day mouse rather than my gaming mouse.
The size is pretty ideal - it is small, but not tiny. I know Logitech markets this as a smaller form factor and that can be a pro and con depending on your hand size and how you hold your mouse.
As for gaming, the mouse is nice and light, nimble, and gives you the option to use plugged in rather than over Bluetooth. I found it to be enjoyable to use and easy to set up (both plugged in and via Bluetooth).
The Color-Sync technology is really much more of a novelty than anything else - though it is a lot of fun the way the mouse is configurable to match what you're doing. On the other hand, I think it's likely more just for show and will likely bleed the battery dry faster.
That being said, the battery has OUTSTANDING life! I have yet to recharge it after using more than a week - at least a few hours every day - and it's still showing 47% battery. Impressive!
As I am a M1 Max Mac user for gaming, I found the Logitech software to be somewhat disappointing - specific to this product. Other Logitech products and their Mac software equivalents are fantastic so I think there's likely room to improve. The button selections and what you can have them do is limited; I actually have been using this more as a work mouse than gaming for that very reason.
Overall, I give this Logitech mouse a very enthusiastic 4-star rating. I am hopeful that further software updates in the future will help with button assignation and compatibility with MacOS

PROS:

- Built-in storage for receiver
- Programmable buttons
- USB-C charging
CONS:
- White material may require more cleaning
== SETUP ==
If you're not interested in using Logitech's software, you can just plug in the USB receiver, use the USB cable, or pair via Bluetooth and use the G705 right away. The back and forward buttons work without any customization with the Logitech software.
If you do want to get the most of your mouse, I would recommend installing the Logitech's G HUB. This is how you can customize the RGB lighting, adjust the DPI, or customize what each button does.
== DAILY USE ==
I'll start with quite possibly the most important feature of the G705: the size. It's great to find a gaming mouse designed for people with smaller hands. Compared to some of the larger gaming mice, the G705 almost looks like a travel mouse!
Logitech says that you can get up to 40 hours of use with the RGB on. Since your hand is covering it, I don't really use the RGB, so I'm getting MUCH better battery life (haven't had to charge it in almost two weeks of using a couple hours a day). When you do need to charge, the mouse does have a USB-C port, which is great!
I really like that there is a small compartment under the palm area to store the USB receiver when not in use. No more worrying about losing it whenever using the mouse away from home.
If you use Logitech's G HUB, you can program the buttons for different functions or macros. This is great for both gaming and productivity (if you prefer to use one mouse for fun AND work). You can also use G HUB for the RGB lighting.
While I wouldn't say this is a "silent" mouse, the G705 is certainly more quiet compared to other gaming-focused mice. You could get away with using this mouse in an office space or library without disturbing/annoying others.
== BOTTOM LINE ==
I love that Logitech finally offers a smaller gaming mouse. I'm also glad to see to see that micro USB finally seems to be gone! If you want a smaller, high-quality gaming mouse (with RGB!), I highly recommend checking out the G705.

Nice but...

The Logitech G705 is a nice wireless gaming mouse, that you can also use as a wired mouse, but Logitech does not promote it this way. Like many new Logitech products, it pairs and gets configured with the Logitech G Hub. Having used several other G products, I already had the G Hub installed. I used the USB-C connector on the supplied cable to connect the mouse to my notebook. It was immediately recognized as a G705 mouse and a driver was installed. The G Hub indicated the mouse was 48% charged. It also indicated that the firmware was up to date.
I proceeded to let charge to 100%, and used the hub to change some of the color setting and the 3 preset DPI setting (up to 8200 DPI), that can be selected from the button behind the scroll wheel. The two buttons on the side of the mouse can also be set to key combinations or shortcuts for your ‘gaming’ needs.
The primary claim to fame of the G705 is it’s RGB lighting. This lighting is only visible from the rear of the mouse. The bottom of the mouse is solid with 2 oversized ‘Teflon’ pads (don’t try to remove these, they look like white shiny stickers) and an on/off with and a button for BT pairing. The G705 can be pair wirelessly via Bluetooth or the Logitech “Lightspeed” USB wireless adapter. I tried both, and both were nearly as quick and accurate as the wired connection. But I find the wire gets in the way at the worst times, I’ve got to blame my losses on something. Well using either wireless connection I’ve lost an excuse. The White Mist mouse looks very nice, it only weighs 3oz (85g) and is supposed to get 40h of battery life from a single charge. The charge time is underwhelming, keep the charging cable handy. Logitech bills the mouse as small compact gaming mouse.
I wish it was a bigger with longer battery life. I think the light weight, and small size makes it a bit small for my everyday use. For my XL hands have used the M650 and M510 which I find are a better all day fit. And for gaming the G502/Hero has better specs, but no BT or RGB lighting. Its gaming performance is excellent I tried it with Rainbow 6 Siege and Minecraft and found no lag, the mechanical mouse clicking was very satisfactory.
I could easily use the G705 as a gaming travel mouse, but it’s small size, will likely find me reaching for another for daily use. I like the RGB effects, it a great looking mouse, with some compromises due to its small size.

Logitechs new Aurora collection seems to give gamers who want the functionality but not the over the top looks a nice option. The mouse is lightweight but has a nice solid feel and the look is clean without being overdone. The RGB lighting is very subtle and adds to that tone down feel the Aurora collection offers. Some gaming equipment can definitely be over the top in terms of design and lighting, so it’s nice to see a line such as this. It would be nice to see Logitech offer the Aurora collection in other colors though, but keep the matte look.
Setup and use is the same as any mouse such as this on a pc as it’s plug and play. Logitech includes an extender for the Lightspeed receiver so you won’t experience lag. The Logitech G HUB allows you to customize everything from the lights, assign different functions for buttons and change the DPI. People with smaller hands will also find this mouse much more comfortable due to the size. The Aurora collection gives you the gaming functionality, but in a more muted and less flashy package.

The Logitech G705 is a great wireless gaming mouse.
It's a very good fit for my hand, comfortable, responsive, customizable and pretty.
I love the size of this mouse. It fits great and all buttons are so easy to reach. The shape allows my hand to hold it with no discomfort. No extra stretching or finger gymnastics to use.
The 3 dpi settings allows me to get the setting that works best for me. The responsiveness is important in games, and this one does the job. Scroll and side buttons have given me no problem at all.
I like the look of the white mouse even without the colors, but with the colors it's very pretty and I think the white base is perfect to really show them.
Connection was simple and automatic as soon as I plugged it into my computer. Charging is quick using USB-C cable that is included, and the charge lasts a very long time. I use mine daily for hours and only charge it once a week. I've honestly never had a rechargeable mouse hold a charge as long as this one does.
