Good headset, great for gaming while also on Skype

I will disclose that I had to swap out my first headset for a duplicate because the dongle that came with the first one stopped working after under 2 weeks. With the first one, I kept plugging it in and unplugging it whenever I was gaming or not. After two weeks, two different computers wouldn't recognize the dongle anymore. The new one, which I have left plugged in and am going through 'playback devices' to enable/disable, is working fine. I will also say that I prefer the bluetooth behavior (though not sound, see below) of detecting whether or not the headset is on/off in order to 'steal' the sound or not. With the Logitech dongle, it doesn't. If it is plugged in, it assumes the headset is on and steals the sound and you have to override that all the time. Logitech could do better with their drivers, IMO. Bluetooth... this headset also works with a bluetooth dongle (tried both BT 3.0 and 4.0) however it suffers from the following. I am told (and google searches seem to validate this) that bluetooth can only do EITHER high-quality sound OR use the microphone, NOT BOTH. My usage is to listen to the game through the headset, while also using it to speak/listen to friends on skype (or through the game, it wouldn't matter). As soon as I enable the microphone, the sound quality drops to more "mobile quality" sound. Good enough for a phone conversation, but listening to the game's sound via that quality just doesn't work. Working around those quirks, it's a great headset.

    Solid Headset

Overall, I am pleased with this headset. I have been using them for about a month and a half now. They are solid and have good, clear sound. I am soft-spoken, and others with whom I have been talking while I'm using the headset have said that the sound quality is really good and that they can hear me very well. I use them with my iPhone and my PC. I haven't yet run down the battery completely. I charge it every two weeks, and I use it maybe 3 or 4 hours per week. A couple of issues I have noticed are: 1. The microphone sometimes loses its Bluetooth connection on my iPhone. I have been on a call when the other person suddenly can't hear me but I can still hear them; I usually just plug in my earpods at that point. On at least one occasion, I connected to my iPhone, as I was expecting a call, and I was listening to music just to make sure that it was connected. I received the call at the same time, and the caller immediately couldn't hear me -- although I could hear him. But these issues are not too frequent. 2. As I noted above, the headphones are solid, so they are a bit heavier than others I've had -- not uncomfortably heavy, but heavier. I am a male with a small, shaved head, and, when I need to bend over, the headphones tend to want to fall off. Not a show-stopper, but something I need to be mindful of. If you have a normal-sized head or hair, this might not be an issue for you.

    Outstanding Bluetooth Headphones

I use the H 800s primarily/extensively for the Dragon voice-to-text software; it works perfectly. The headphones are extremely comfortable and are very accurate at turning my voice to text. I occasionally utilize these headphones while using my cell phone on a call. I've never have any loss of signal; they always sound great. I have purchased multiple sets of the H 800, not because of failure or malfunction, but rather because I use them so often for my Dragon voice to text software (turning them on-and-off continually) that the tang on the on-off control gets worn down a bit. This does not negate the outstanding function of the headphones, but does make it a bit more difficult to adjust from Bluetooth to micro USB setting. I would highly recommend anybody purchasing these headphones for either voice to text software, or in lieu of of a mono Bluetooth for your cell phone.

Overall these are usable headphones, but to be honest I'm considering returning them. I have some much cheaper Emerson headphones (without the mic boom, thus the reason for buying these) that sound worse, but have more comfortable earcups, feel more durable, fold flat, allow wired or wireless use, and have FAR LONGER battery life and range. Bad showing on Logitech's part on those aspects. I do like that these have very easy to use controls and don't re-use the same button for multiple purposes. I use them in both bluetooth and dongle mode, and find the bluetooth mode to be slightly better for range and battery life.

I got these since my system would not work with a cheaper headset. I still have to change setting to use them but it's not the fault of the headset Moderate range with some static. good sound in same room. cordless is great, always wanted to cut the cord.

Love the way these sit on my ear. Clear audio. I use the Bluetooth to connect to my cellphone and use the included usb dongle to connect to my computer. This allows me to have two connections that I can switch between on the fly.

For an inexpensive headset this does the trick. Can hear well, and picks up my voice well. Worked slick for Diablo. You do get what you pay for, so don't expect it to give your head an amazing hug, but it works.

I've had these headphones for several months and have never been happy that I purchased them. When they are connected, the sound quality both ways is good. That is the only reason for my 2 starts. They do not hold a charge at all making it completely pointless to buy wireless. They don't make it through a workday charged and I am only a moderate phone/meetings user. I have difficulty connecting them some days making my first calls of the day a dud before I realize, not good in sales/customer service. Wish I just went cheap and bought wired ones but the IT guy at work encouraged me to "upgrade".

Good sound quality overall, but the microphone picks up EVERYTHING (to the point where I've had people complain/get distracted by other sounds around me). Bluetooth is nice, but the microphone doesn't work too well with even a small distance from what the headphones are connected to, which is frustrating.

I like it. About 4 hours battery life if used continuously. Other good thing is you can talk while its charging. I use it for almost 4-5 years for office calls and its very comfortable. Only complain is, sometimes it doesn't connect if I restart the computer while its connected to charging cable. I had to restart the headphone and then it works.

    Better than the H600

I would say these are better than the H600 in terms of quality (i.e. padding and comfort). The sound is decent as well. I wasn't able to switch easily between my cell phone and my laptop however. The side switches are not very intuitive so once you have them on, I don't try adjusting volume or anything. I use these primarily for skype business calls, not for listening to music.

Overall, I like this headset a lot. My only complaint with it is that I wish the battery life was better. I always have to have the USB cable nearby to charge it up as it doesn't last nearly as long as I would've expected. I love how it easily switches from USB to Bluetooth connections!

I had used a H600 for a few years and really appreciated the slot at the bottom of the headset for the USB transponder. This model does not have that. The sound is good and the fit is very comfortable.

This headset is very light weight and is easy to set up and get going. It out performs the 6 hour battery life that is advertised and that is a big plus. I use this everyday for over 7 hours each day of solid phone conversation and the battery holds up well. I've never had to charge it during use because its that good. Expect a good Headset when you get this one!

With the ability to connect to both bluetooth devices and my PC, this headset is easy to use. The autonomy is pretty good (at least 8 hours of call). The quality of sound and microphone is excellent. It is pretty light and fits well on the head.
