    Remote itself is good as it can control many devices. But, the biggest disappointment is the 'Battery life'. It discharges very quick and I have to recharge it at least 3 times a week provided that I use it for 5-10 mins max. It has been sitting permanently on the charging station since last 6 months as whenever I wanted to use it the battery showed almost nothing. Thought many times about returning it to Logitech but they said this is how the battery life is.

    Easy to program and easy to use as it doesn't have a million buttons, the touch screen pops up the functions that you will want for the activity you are doing. Only complaint is low battery life, a week or less so keep the charger handy.

    I have used the more basic Harmony Smart Remote for a while and found it to be a welcome addition to my budding smart home. Being able to tell Alexa to turn on and off the TV and change "activities" was awesome. I took advantage of a sale to upgrade to the Elite remote and I can safely say it's not really worth it. The display is helpful to address the occasional wonkiness that can occur within activies - allowing you to switch to device commands instead. It looks good and is responsive enough but it needs to live in it's cradle and that was a nuisance for me. I get about two days of light usage (1-2hrs/day of infrequent interaction) before the battery is completely dead. In short, Elite gives marginally more functionality than the basic smart remote at the cost of battery life and significant expense.

    Replaced the previous model with this one due to degraded battery performance. Would have preferred to use the previous until it broke but unfortunately having a non replaceable battery makes that impossible. Battery life was less than two hours after just over two years of use. Coincidently the issue arose just after the warranty period expired. The benefits of RF (hidden electronics closet) and the recent updates to the harmony software and interface justified the purchase for our family but still feels unnecessary for something as simple as a battery. This has been typical of other Logitech product support issues for me as well. If there was a comparable alternative I'd happily give them my money before Logitech.

    I purchased this remote on November 7, 2017 and the battery will not charge!! Fortunately for me this will come in 2 days before the expiration of the warranty, but this says a lot about how Logitech products are designed. 3 days later and I would be screwed!!

    We had an older Harmony the the dog got a a hold of. We upgraded to this version that works with Alexa and we love it. The battery wears out quickly but you can use your laptop or Alexa too so it's all worth it.

    The Logitech controller replaces the controllers for the TV, cable set-top box, receiver and more. Easy to set up and easy to use. The only drawback is the battery life could be longer.

    I have set up many Logitech remotes and each one has been great. Love the RF on this unit and seems very reliable. Only con, poor battery life.

    I bought this remote to replace a Harmony One and it's an upgrade in every way but one, battery life. With heavy use, you might get three or four days before having to use the charging dock. Other than that, perfect remote.

    Absolutely love that updates for the remote are completed wirelessly. No more plugging it in. Only downside is that the battery charge still only lasts a few days.

    This is my 4th harmony remote and while I've been mostly happy with previous gen remotes, I've had some issues in the past. This version has solved most of the problems especially the setup process. Positives : Buttons are placed ergonomically Setup is by far the easiest compared to previous gen Screen is bright and touchscreen is responsive There's trade in offer if you own previous gen harmony Negatives: Battery life could be longer A little small if you have big hands No numeric buttons ( but there's a touch screen version @@@@@@@

    Liked my old 1100 and the battery life was great. The new Elite is very nice and easy to program. battery life is not as good as the 1100 but that's all I can say bad about it but that did not stop me from using the Elite it's very easy to use and program, I just put it on the charger more often than the 1100. Not so bad

    This one of the best or the best harmony remote, perfect for someone who multiple devices, like xbox , Playstation, sound bar and other devices. I like this remote because it can be sync with Playstation 3 & 4 and Xbox one and 360. The only problem with this remote is the battery. Dies to fast but since is rechargeable I guess is ok

    I gave it 3 stars because I would prefer larger volume and channel buttons. Also I am not a fan of swiping the screen ,I like basic remote control with decent access buttons. Then what I really do not like is that the remote is a sealed unit you can not change the battery, once gone it has to go to the factory or I guess you ditch it. Not too good for the price of these remotes.

    Battery Problems!

    Once I got this remote setup and programmed it worked great! After a couple weeks I noticed that the battery was not staying charged like it did when it came out of the box. I started putting the remote in its charging cradle every nite. Then, right before it died I noticed that the remote was very warm (almost hot) when I removed it from the cradle. It did not cool off as I expected and, 20 minutes into a show it just died, never to be charged again. I called Logitech support and they had me update the firmware - which did absolutely no good. I called back the next day and the support guy wanted me to go thru that same exercise again, this time updating the hub as well. I asked him if he read the previous ticket...he put me on hold for 5 min and came back on the line and said, "OK, we'll be sending you a new remote." I got the new one and had it setup pretty quickly - my Logitech Harmony account still had all the information so it updated pretty fast to the hub and remote. Even tho the remote works very well I'm giving it only 3 stars due to the battery problem. I've seen in other reviews that this has been an ongoing issue with these remotes for a while. Logitech needs to come up with a fix. One bright spot: while the remote was dead we had no choice but to use the Harmony app and it worked REALLY well. It has all the functionality of the remote and is very responsive. You can configure it so it remains on until you close the app. My wife likes the app so well she doesn't even want to use the remote any more. You may want to consider just buying the hub and using the app.

    This is a replacement for an old Logitech Harmony remote. They have greatly improved the product. It is smaller and the remote goes into a standby mode quickly to save the battery and to avoid any unwanted changes if you touch the screen by accident. My only concern is that you cannot take the battery out. I hope this product lasts a long time.
