    Works great with Alexa

The hub integrates nicely with Alexa. The only downside to this remote is that there are no physical numerical buttons, so if you want to jump to a specific channel directly you have to swipe through the touch screen to get to the numbers pad. The number pad itself isn't very responsive, which translates to lots of errors.

The remote works well and is (relatively) easy to set up. Although the remote is capable of simultaneously controlling multiple devices with the press of a single button, it does not receive confirmation from each device that a command was carried out successfully. This means that occasionally a device might not receive signal and/or go out of sync with other devices. These errors are rare and easily fixable through the remote's fix it myself feature. Another important thing to keep in mind is that automated features within each device such as ARC connections between TV and audio where one device powers and controls another can override the commands from the remote. It took a lot of trial and error to set up inputs/outputs within each device such that automated controls within each device were disabled. As I set the remote up, it was not immediately obvious that my TV was automatically changing input selections in a manner that overrode the command from the harmony remote. Eliminating device automation was not well covered in the instructions and I suspect many of the negative reviewers did not realize that individual device settings caused remote command functions to fail. Another minor complaint is the short battery life of the remote (2-3 days per charge), but this is a small price to pay for the simplicity and convenience of the remote.

It's overall a great remote. Very responsive and easy to program (I assume) with cable and satellite providers. I watch IPTV through my AppleTV, so setup was a bit trickier. A lot of trial, error, and updating settings.

The sense screen is a bit harder to operate than the standard DirecTV RF remote and the buttons are slightly smaller, also harder to control. Thus more time and errors for fast forwarding commercials on the DVR and lots of errors on channel entry. Also unreliable as it doesn't always turn on all of the TV, receiver, and DirecTV receiver. Also very sensitive to getting on the wrong control screen by bumping a sensor below the screen.

While I'm sitting here waiting once again for the Harmony app to load whatever it is I'm doing I thought I'd write a review. This product is a nice idea but is ultimately terrible. Purchased 2, 1 is having issues right out of the box (not charging and syncing reliably). The initial setup took an eternity and was not intuitive (there is not much about this system that is), had to force quit the app many times because of it getting stuck. Trying to add new Activities is resulting in stalls or errors (app "connecting to harmony servers" endlessly, desktop app shows no available activities to start with). Avoid.

I started with he hub as it is much easier to use an App on my iPhone than search for the remote. I followed the programming directions closely and some of the pathways were accepted and others weren't with spontaneous sequence changing when testing. 2 hours later I returned the hub and bought the hub and remote combo. This had the exact same errors that programming the app did and after 2 more hours I gave up. When I went back to pic up the remote it appeared that it had programmed actions and I tried them and they mostly worked. The one glitch is that it struggles with turning off Apple TV and has some strange messaging that you need to become accustomed to. Too expensive to have all of these issues.

This remote works great....took me about 15 ins too set it up, however it takes time to configure the remote to your settings. First off it did not work flawlessly with my sound bar, maybe the sound bar is a bit outdated for the remote, and it took me a while to set up the correct connections for what buttons do what. To configure the buttons you have to use the app on the phone, all the remote does is to power up the devices but the app is where you set everything else up. Each device has to be set up in its own way, so for your tv controls you set it up one way, your sound bar another way, your ps4 another way etc. Also it does not power on/off the ps4 due to Sony restrictions. I like this remote because I use to have a remote for everything so it was nice to condense my entertainment system to one remote. It will take a bit explaining to the mrs if they are not tech savvy, as it was hard to comprehend myself. The best advise I can give it buy the remote, had a friend that purchased the app version alone and they said with the remote it was easier for them to use. Only buy IF you have the patience to set it up, I know some might get frustrated at the set up, its honestly a trial and error till you get use to it.

I bought this universal remote because I wanted a powerful radio frequency unit that did not exclude user programming. Other top end units sold by Best Buy are Geek Squad only programming and require them to make any updates or changes. The Logitech Elite can be Geek Squad programmed or you can do it yourself. The problem is that some of the prepackaged Logitech files are missing important buttons or have mis programmed buttons requiring the user to make slow painstaking additions and corrections. One time after adding a new device and removing an old one, the unit locked up requiring a wipe and reload. There is no way to test new commands or changes on the fly without loading them to the remote and the using it to test. Errors and modifications then require that the changes be made on line and uploaded to the remote to retest. This iterative process can be slow and tedious. There are no provisions to create your own button layout. The command structure behind buttons is too limited. No good bitmap database is provided for button icons for favorite channels, etc. I would recommend this unit but with A BIG ASTERISK .
