K380 Bluetooth Keyboard works great with M590!

I purchased the Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard along with the M590 Silent Bluetooth Mouse, and I have to say they make a great combination for my setup. K380 Pros: + Overall size of the keyboard makes this a perfect travel device + "Flow" between three devices works flawlessly + K380 can be linked to follow any Logitech "Flow" enabled mouse (like the M590, M720, or MX Series) + Keyboard is very comfortable for me to type on (first test was 57 WPM, 96% accuracy vs my 65/96% avg.) + Keyboard layout is excellent for PC - all keys are exactly where they should be + Home, End, Page Up, Page Down work with fn+arrow keys (despite others saying they don't work) + (2) AAA Batteries will last a long time + Don't have to plug it in to charge or connect + Physical On/Off Switch is always good to have + Very good build quality - feels much more sturdy than it looks + Decent Price ($29 at time of purchase in 2019 Q2 - got this and M590 for >$60) + Logitech Options software is very useful and easy to use + Great value and feature set for the price K380 Cons: - Round keys on keyboards always look atrocious and unprofessional - Not enough programmable keys through Logitech Options software (can only modify F4, F5, F6 and F7) - Arrow keys are too small, especially up and down which essentially touch each other - No USB connectivity limits compatibility (only connects to devices that have Bluetooth) - Weighs a bit more than you would expect it to (not necessarily a bad thing since it's built well) - No height / angle adjustment legs - Wish it was more Black instead of Gray - Wish the ugly Yellow function keys were any shade of gray instead of any color (like on the K375s or K810) Overall Impressions and other thoughts: The Logitech K380 Keyboard has quickly established it's place on my desk and in my daily carry bag. It's diminutive size, excellent build quality and comfortable typing experience are standout features. The round keys look completely ridiculous but actually work shockingly better than I expected. The three bright yellow function keys are gaudy and should be replaced with a more subtle contrasting shade of gray (or let them just match the keyboard like the K810 does!). The F# keys work without having to hit the fn button, which is always preferred, and the fn+arrow keys work for Home, End, Page Up and Page Down, which is critically important for me. Setup was very simple and everything has worked flawlessly with this keyboard, from pairing through Bluetooth on multiple devices, and syncing it to follow my M590 Flow Mouse, to configuring the keys in Logitech Options - it's all been a very satisfying experience. I wish Logitech would make a separate similar device that was just an add-on number pad with trackpad (no keyboard) that was the same design as this. I know there are tons of non-Logitech options out there for this purpose, but a matching Logi number / trackpad with the same color scheme and build quality would be nice. I really didn't think I'd like typing on this keyboard when I saw it at Best Buy, but as soon as I touched it, I was immediately surprised by how typing felt on it, in a very good way. I typed on all of the keyboards in the store, and I ended up buying this one, so that says something. It wasn't the very best typing experience of them all, but the overall size, features, and total package of this product was the best offering for the price and for my needs right now. I wish they had the K810 for me to look at, but that unit seems very difficult to find. Would I pay $99 for that keyboard with squared-keys, black finish, matching F1-F3 keys, back-lighting with hand detection and 5 adjustment levels, etc.? Yes, indeed I probably would, although a sale price around $60 would make it a no-brainer for me. Even despite my preference for common replaceable batteries versus having to recharge the device with a cable every 10 days or so, I'd still rather the K810 for it's design. But my current search shows prices from $125 for a used one to $280 for a new one, which is out of the question. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of both the Logitech K380 and M590, as I think they work very nicely together and are both ultra-portable for on the go readiness. I would highly recommend this product.

Paired with the Logitech MX Master 2S mouse, the Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard gives me the ability to operate 2 or 3 computers – even a mix of Apple and PC devices. They enable me to use a single mouse and keyboard to move seamlessly among my iMac, desktop PC, and laptop PC. I am a graphic designer and do my primary design tasks on an iMac, using Adobe Creative Cloud. I can’t afford to put the Adobe software on more than one computer, and, for my own purposes, the iMac is sufficient. However, I have clients who need me to provide them with files in Publisher, and Publisher is not available for OS systems (the rest of the Microsoft Office package is, but Publisher is specifically excluded). In addition, Microsoft Word has more bells and whistles in its PC version than the OS version, and sometimes I need those extra features. So, I ended up using a combination of Dropbox, email, and thumb drives to move things back and forth between my iMac and my PC computers. Now, I can create an asset on the iMac, copy the asset, move the MX Master 2S onto the PC screen, paste the asset where it needs to go, and proceed with my work on the PC. That’s where the Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard comes in. The Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard also operates all 3 of my computers, and it feels exactly like the keyboard that came with my iMac, while having those function keys that are specific to a PC. That means that it conserves the time and energy I was wasting every time I made the mental and physical jump between two computers. Instead, I just click one of the 3 easy to spot yellow buttons on the top tier of the keyboard to tell the keyboard which computer to control, then continue working on that computer. The functional area of the Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard is the same depth as my Apple keyboard and about one-quarter inch shorter in length. The keys are all where my fingers expect them to be, so I had no trouble switching over from the Apple keyboard. It does have the PC-specific keys, as well, and they, too, are where my fingers expect them to be (I like having a “Back” key again, which the Apple keyboard lacks). Setup was simple, with the Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard pairing quickly and easily with my various computers via Bluetooth. Total setup time for all 3 computers was under 10 minutes. Having just one keyboard and one mouse to operate 2 or 3 computers is a very worthwhile change for me.

I generally find Logitech products well-built, and this one is no exception -- with a very solid feel, very quiet keys and long battery life (can't attest to that yet as I have only used it for 2 months.) I have a Logitech K350 keyboard (one of those wavy ones with many media keys), which I enjoy. However, as I do much work late at night into the morning, and my PC is set up in the bedroom den and some 30 feet from our bed, I searched for a quieter keyboard that won't annoy my SO -- so K350 during the day, and K380 during the night. The great part is K380 is connected via Bluetooth, so the K350 can stay connected alongside via its USB receiver, allowing me to use K350's numerous programmable keys (which are far quieter than the alphanumeric keys) for adjusting music volume (through headphones of course) , zoom in/out, open calculator... Another great part about the K380 is that it allows up to 3 devices to be connected, and switching between them is quite quick, especially when choosing the PC, feels like 0.2 sec or so. (Switching to the iPhone [still on iOS 11.4.1 for me] takes about 1-1.5 secs.) So, instead of taping out a long text message on the phone's virtual keyboard, I can use this nifty and quiet keyboard. Why the 0.5 star deduction then? The 3 keys that show you the current device selected won't stay lit, most likely to save battery life. Although I can appreciate that, I do wish it's an option that I can choose via its setting software 'Logitech Options', since after switching back and forth between the PC and the phone a few times, I occasionally forget which one is currently connected and am forced to push one of those buttons just to make sure. Also, while K380 isn't heavy (14.92 oz) per se, but it does add nearly 1 lb (just below an iPad Air) to the backpack when traveling,

    Excellent universal format keyboard!

If you are looking for a keyboard that is bluetooth, universal, will work with up to 3 devices, and is around the same size as Apple's Magic Keyboard then the Logitech K380 keyboard is it! It is paired via bluetooth 4.0, and can be paired with up to 3 devices of your choosing (Usually a smartphone, tablet and PC/Mac. All you need to do is press one of the 3 the numbered function keys to switch to the desired device), and runs on 2 AAA batteries that can last up to 2 years before needing replacement. The keys are pleasant to press, and the round-shaped keys feel sturdy to the touch. The keyboard as a whole is made of plastic but it doesn't feel cheap, and some keys will feature alternate symbols (i.e. The alt. key also is labeled with the Apple Command symbol) since this is meant to be a universal-format keyboard. The top function keys can also be customized to some degree using Logitech's Options software. That means you can program them to work to your needs, be it using the return function key as a shortcut to another app etc. I will admit that this keyboard will take some getting used to, as the keys are spaced fairly close together, but with practice and patience you will find the typing experience to be positive. In fact, I am typing this review on the K380 keyboard, which I've had for about a month now as of this review, and am typing no different than I would on a larger keyboard. There are of course a few cons to look out for here, as nothing is perfect. One of those cons is that Logitech's 'Options' software is limited where customization is concerned. This may or may not be a bad thing, depending on who is using the keyboard, but some may want to have more customization options when setting their keyboard up. Also, you will need the 'Options' software if you want to want the ability to moniter things like battery life and be able to change the functions of some of the keys. Another con is the lack of a 10-key number pad. I am used to using larger keyboards and you don't realize how valuable the number pad is until you no longer have it. On the other hand, if you use an Apple wireless keyboard or laptop keyboard then this won't be an issue for you. Overall, this is a great keyboard and one I will recommend to anyone looking for a keyboard that doesn't take up much space and is connected via bluetooth.

A great functional keyboard for mobile devices but not so great as an external keyboard for a graphic design student using a Mac Book Pro Retina 15.4" (Mid-2015) laptop. I use mainly Adobe Creative Suite software & one thing I was unaware of was that without a numeric keypad (the numlock option), shortcut keys for styles cannot be set which was a huge setback for me for my inDesign coursework. I also found that this keyboard was quiet but hard to use for long periods of time as my hands would get tired due to the flatness of the keyboard. Though, for the pricepoint & its listed features, it is a great buy for solely short periods of time & the ability to seamlessly switch between 3 bluetooth-enabled devices with the touch of a button. It's small & cute, too. :) I've switched to the Logitech K800 Illuminated keyboard which comes with an adjustable tilt feature which makes it super-ergonomic & easy to use. Though, the keys on this keyboard have the standard setup of a Windows Keyboard (order: CTRL, WINDOWS, ALT, SPACEBAR, ALT, FN, CTRL), which I hate bc I've been using Macs for so many years, now—it's nothing that couldn't be fixed with some Modifier Key readjustments. Overall, I am happy with the K800 & as for the K380, I would not recommend it to someone looking for an extended keyboard to use for long periods of time, but, I would recommend it to someone looking for a mobile device keyboard.

What I was looking for: A desktop keyboard from a reputable brand that is wireless and did not have a numerical key pad (for better ergonomics and desk space while using a drawing tablet sitting next to it.) It met these requirements perfectly. Bonus pros: Connects via bluetooth and can save connections to 3 different bluetooth enabled devices, so I'm able to connect it to my windows desktop, my macbook pro, and even my android phone, and can easily switch between each within literally 2 or 3 seconds. With this ability & the fact that the keyboard is relatively small, its great for portability. Also, in regards to Windows and Mac compatibility, it does offer a windows key and a Command key for each respective OS, and they are in the correct positions for each. Battery life has been great. It runs on 2 AAA batteris (included in the box) and according to Logitech they'll last something like years. So far I've had mine running for about a month and a half and it's still showing 100%. so the Cons: I'm not a fan of the round keys. The key spacing might actually be a tiny bit tighter than a standard keyboard, not uncomfortably, but I do find myself missing a key slightly now and then. As far as i can figure out, there is no Home or End key, and i kinda miss those. I do feel like the plastic could feel a little more premium, but with the low price for the features that it offers, I can get past that. Wish it came with a USB Bluetooth receiver as my windows desktop does not have bluetooth built in. Had to buy one seperately for another 15 bucks. Overall, even with those cons, I'm quite happy with it.

I was pondering a replacement case for my iPad Mini 3 whose logitech keyboard case had gotten wet and subsequently failed (it's often sitting on a counter in my kitchen when I'm cooking). While pondering cases, I realized that a case and separate keyboard solution would be best. I pondered buying an Apple wireless keyboard, saw this at $30 on sale and figured I'd give it a chance. While it may not be the best keyboard I've ever used in a tactile sense, it's a very good keyboard because of all it offers. The three buttons allow for devices of all sort, whether Windows, Mac, (haven't tested with my linux system yet), iOS, Droid and I also assume Windows Phone. To be honest, it has done so well at replacing the keyboard I originally had that using my iPad has become virtually like an iOS laptop, with enough flexibility that I can switch it to my mac, my phone or other devices if I unpair one of the original connections. Quite, quite happy with this keyboard.

I was skeptical about this keyboard. It's about $30 and similar keyboards are about double the price. Long story short, this keyboard is a VERY good buy. Being a "universal" Bluetooth keyboard, it offers options not found in cheaper competitors. 1) It works very well with Apple products. I've tried cheaper keyboards with my Apple MacMini, and options like volume control are often missing. That's not the case with this product, as it acts very similar (if not exactly) as the Apple Bluetooth keyboard which retails for double the price. 2) It has the ability to work with more than one device. 3 to be exact. I can use it with my MacMini and seamlessly transition to my iPad. All the functions remain in tact. As a bonus, i've also use it with my Android phone, in which I have the ability to use the built in "soft buttons" such as the Home key on the keyboard. It's a very good and cheaper alternative to the official Apple products and a step above similar products because of it's flexibility. I highly recommend.

First off, this keyboard was purchased to replace a small wireless "unify" keyboard. The connectivity on it was pretty bad. Even with moving the infared dongle to many ports and locations, it was never happy. I'd be in the middle of playing Guild Wars 2, facerolling a world boss and then I couldn't move my character! >:( So needless to say, it had to go. I'm super picky about inane things, like keyboards. Mainly size. I don't like large keyboards. I don't like clacky keyboards. I prefer matte finish. And the list goes on. Well the number of keyboards that fit the non-infrared, not clacky, matte finish, and small is well.. I thought they didn't exist. I was going to give in and just get a huge cheap wired keyboard and saw this on the way out of the store. The whimsical round keys pulled me in at first. Then the color. It's a nice dark grey, not black. Then the size. It's perfect for me. Oh, it's bluetooth?! Even better. The one downside, no number pad. So not great if you're going to be crunching a bunch of numbers. I'm actually thinking of purchasing a separate number pad for when I need to get to those books. But so far I'm super happy. It doesn't take much space on my desk. The connectivity is great. I can write reviews on it, write silly blog posts, and pound Megadestroyer into submission with no issues. lol All in all, I hope this little guy lasts me a while. I'm just so happy with this silly keyboard I could just burst. Yep, gushing over a keyboard. :)

I went to Best Buy to get a Bluetooth keyboard for my newly purchased Samsung Tablet. I bought the smaller model from Logitech K386 for my girlfriend and was going to settle for this model, but it was too small. So, I bought the K486 that was bigger and it had a tray or grove that was rubberized to hold a thin device like a tablet, or cell phone. Also, it was on sale $10 cheaper. So, I bought this one. I connected to 3 devices with no issues then I connected it to my TV a Samsung NU8000. Well, Boo Yah, this key board is soo kewl. Just switch the nob and it reconnects to your pre programmed devices with no issues. I use it for my tablet, my iPad, and TV. You can program 3 devices on this keyboard. I change my 10.1 inch tablet on this keyboard to the long postion and the keyboard stays stable in the groove. The keyboard is well balanced to handle the different angles of the Samsung tablet A 10.1. Well sports fans, I hope this review helps you make a decision. Buy, buy, buy, for the size and it's bluetooth, and at least for me it was fairly cheap.

I've had many bluetooth keyboards, and Logitech's are the only ones that actually worked well with multi-devices, however, there was always one problem or another. K760 was bulky and although it had great keys, only worked well for Mac / iOS. K480 was awful, way too bulky, keys were bad, and the stand was so so. On K380 though, Logitech has done it. First of all, the keys are extremely pleasant to type with. Then there is the software. With Logitech Options, the keyboard adjusts on Windows so you can turn off the default "function" keys to work as F keys, and that is a necessity unfortunately with Windows. Macs and iOS devices work perfectly with it too. I can't account for Android, but would doubt there would be any major issue. Another thing I like a lot is the "no numeric" keys, and just the main part which is what I use 99.9% of the time. As such, travel time from keyboard to mouse is minimal. A must. Then there is the price. At $29.99, this is a steal, and build quality feels really good. So, if you're ready to perhaps have the best bluetooth keyboard you've ever had, this is the one for you.

Going in with buying this, i wasn't expecting the world with this, but also at the same time i didn't think i'd use it so much like i have been using it. I go to school and now i just take my ipad with this thing to take notes and do work there. Infact i've used it so much i'm typing this on it right now. The keyboard feels similarly to what you'd find with Logitech. That company seems to be the only one that does comfort correctly compared to most others, and has a decent price tag too. Battery life is also another plus. I haven't swapped out the batteries yet, and thats a good thing. The only bad thing i'd have to say is the fact that the keyboard has no lighting, and sometimes can disconnect very quickly but i feel that might be more of a device issue than a keyboard one. Just keep the keyboard close and your set.

My reason for purchasing this Bluetooth keyboard is that I need a wireless keyboard. Every USB keyboard that I own or have owned has frustrated me to the max! I am typing a password or email only to look up and find several characters missing. When this happens every day, I find myself wanting to throw the keyboard into orbit or somewhere else! I knew nothing about Bluetooth keyboards or how or if they worked. I was so desperate that I decided to try this keyboard. I figured it could not be any worse than my USB. keyboard! I love it's small footprint and as I read in other reviews, typing with the round keys was not a problem for me. I have had this unit for a while now and have never had any missing characters yet. For me it has been the best purchase that I have made. The fact that I can and use it on three different devices with no pairing problems is an added bonus.

I purchased this keyboard to replace an odd sized bluetooth keyboard. I wanted something that was roughly the same size as my tablet, easy to set up, and easy to use. This fits the bill nicely! I will regularly use this while working on my computer and have my phone nearby. I can easily switch back and forth from one device to the other to send messages while working on reports. I have the third button set up for my tablet so I can give ne meaning to the phrase "multi-tasking." The keys feel light and are very responsive. One thing of note that for me was a plus, it uses AA batteries instead of USB charging. My last bluetooth keyboard could not be used while charging for some reason. I almost always have AA batteries handy, or they are very easy to get. Some folks might see that as a detractor, but I like it.

I've only been using this keyboard for a few days, so I can't speak to its longevity, but I'm really happy with it. I'm using it with a Mac and an iPad Pro, and love the ability to switch quickly between the two devices. I wasn't sure if the round keys would work for me, or if it would feel too small, but I was typing naturally within a few minutes (after years using standard Apple keyboards). I have two complaints about the Fn key, though: 1. For Mac users, it's swapped with the Ctrl key 2. It doesn't work like an Fn key on an Apple keyboard. You can't use it with arrow keys to page up/down, for example—it only works with the function keys on the keyboard itself. I had to adjust my muscle memory a bit to work around the Fn key for some keyboard shortcuts, but still: I'm really happy with this thing.

ohh it says minimum of 50 ...ok ... gave it two stars because I had a bit of trouble returning after a bizzard. I stayed on hold on the telephone walked in from the parking lot and it seemed only one person was answering phone calls when alot of guys seemed to be checking phones ... no biggie I don't mind waiting that much. The keyboard had a nice multi-device f1 f2 f3 interface . It needed a slot to hold the tablet like some others did have. It felt good and was built well only it was so small it needed place to grip it so you would not press keys when you went to pic it up. ... I did find it cheaper at Best Buy's on website . Anyhow I was told I was a customer that was not always right so I felt a bit bad about the transaction ... But I will not be deterred ... Not sure how I am supposed to choose personal stuff without trying it first.

This lil keyboard is a dream. The fact that it has 3 channels to connect to 3 separate devices makes me feel like the "guy in the chair" just swapping from one device to the next never moving my hands. its also lightweight, slim, and super convenient to tote around. my only issue with it is the fact that it takes removeable batteries... it doesnt have a rechargable internal battery. I purchased this for an old laptop that we converted into a workstation for the children. Just wanted something that was small and worked out of the box. It paired with the Win 10 machine very quickly with no issues. I'm also surprised with how well it handles keystrokes after "waking up". It caches the keystrokes it seems and there is only a small delay when typing on the login screen for example after long periods of inactivity. The delay is very short and the keystrokes have been accurate every time. I previously hadn't used it for any mobile devices but decided to use it for this review on my Android device. Paired seamlessly and it was nice to be able to use a second device profile to then return to the workstation without the need to pair again. Great little keyboard.

I was hesitant buying this keyboard to use with my iPad Pro because it wasn’t an Apple product and I didn’t want to get it home and it not work. I didn’t want to spend the outrageous amount for the Smart Keyboard or magic keyboard either. I got this keyboard home and it took less than 2 minutes to set up. It’s very simple to use and setup and I haven’t had an issue with it. I’ve done quite a few essays with the keyboard now and still no issues. It turns on with a switch of a button and it automatically connects to my iPad within seconds. No lag, no sticky or loose keys. This keyboard is very lightweight and very portable. I’ve used it for schoolwork while in the car and it was still comfortable to use.
