This is one of the best wireless keyboards out right now. 3 separate Bluetooth lines at the touch of a button, and USB receiver for non BT devices. The channel that you can put your phone or tablet into is cut at a useful angle and runs the entire length of the keyboard so you can even let your tablet hang over the side. It held my iPad in a thin case and my Surface Pro 4 just fine. It has a little weight to it, but that's good for stabilizing bigger tablets.

If you have multiple devices, particularly some that have USB and some that are Bluetooth, this is a GREAT keyboard with great functionality that is hard to find elsewhere. If you just want a keyboard for a single device, or you want a portable keyboard, look elsewhere. Why? Well, if you want to connect to both a PC/Mac and Bluetooth devices, this is a great keyboard. Typing is comfortable and quick and you can flip back and forth between devices at the touch of a button. Connection to the USB dongles (for PC/Mac) are instant with Bluetooth taking it's normal few second lag to connect, then recognizing keypresses immediately. The lip to hold devices may or may not hold your device - it depends on thickness and the angle may not be right, but it's not annoying if it doesn't work. That said, the keyboard is rather heavy and not portable (it's not meant to be) and there are better typing experiences to be had in non-multi-device options. So if you don't need the multi-device option, look at other keyboards...

Purchased this to be used at work on my desktop and with my Surfacebook. The keyboard comes with a unifying dongle that is already paired with the keyboard. I was able to quickly pair a Logitech mouse using the Logitech unifying software. The keyboard connects to the surface using Bluetooth. This was done by "adding device" in the Bluetooth settings of the surface. The keyboard itself lays flat and does not have any legs to angle the keyboard. I used erasers on opposite ends to raise it to my liking. Switching from one device to another is easy to do once you have it setup. The biggest complaint I have is that the default layout requires that the fn button is pressed to use the F1-F12 keys. To change this the Logitech Options software must be downloaded. From there you can set the f-lock so that the F1-F12 act as regular F1-F12 keys.

I was looking for wireless keyboard for my Surface Pro 4, which I dock and use as a desktop keyboard. It was displayed on an endcap at Best Buy, so I stopped and had a look. I liked the look immediately, with its low profile and the solid weight when I picked it up. In use, it sits firmly on my glass topped deak and does not slide around at all due to the solid rubber feet and that weight. I'd say it's heavier than the average keyboard in spite of being smaller. That weight , the keyboard's wdith and it's relatively shallow depth make it a very nice lap keyboard if I want to sit back from the desk -- probably not planned for that but nice bit of serendipity. @@@@@@@@ I'm doing that now. @@@@@@@ The keys are a little closer together than a standard keyboard and but still comfortable. They give good tactile feedback with a short travel distance but are very quiet. The layout is a little eccentric with regard to accessory keys (delete, numlock, etc) and it does without a home or end key, which took a little getting used to. Having done so, not a problem. A great thing about the keyboard is the incredibly convenient tablet stand at the top of the keyboard. This is probaably why the keyboard is as heavy as it's, in order to provide stability for any device you'd care to use it with. It's angled nicely and seem to hold pretty much anything. I've even put my Surface in it, and it holds most securely. I've found that it pairs quickly and smoothly with everything I've tried: wireless Logitech dongle, Bluetooth to IPhone, Bluetooth to Kindle, Bluetooth to Surface. On every device there is no lag, even when starting to type after a break or first thing in the morning. Minor complaint: the angle of keyboard itself is not adjustable. It sits flat on the desk, probably to make the device stand more stable. I like this keyboard so much that I bought a second one for work on my own dime. I love using good tools, and this is definitely a great one.
