Not Worth the Asking Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Light worked properly I just was unable to download the GHub software to fine tune the light brightness. The re are buttons on it to lower and and increase the brightness and tone but I needed something a little more precise and maybe the software would have been the answer. If the software worked I would be I’ve it a higher rating. I would receive getting 2 of them to balance the light in case the software doesn’t work.

A light bar with a "wiggle" of color and light!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Litra Beam LX was made to revolutionize your lighting setup whether you're a content creator, a video conferencing guru, or love excellent lighting. This LED light bar shines in many ways and scenarios. We will explore its features, performance, and overall value proposition. Everything comes packed well and is easy to assemble. Follow the quick start guide with diagrams illustrating step-by-step instructions printed on the lid interior to get started. It looks like hieroglyphics on a wall, so easy a caveman can do it! Aside from the uses pictured, I found multiple uses, from a desk lamp or key light to accent light or prop light; ideas are endless. This two-sided light offers both RGB on one side and high-quality LED for streaming or teleconferencing to be used simultaneously. Each side functions independently and is fully customizable in software via USB and Bluetooth in G Hub. First Impressions Opening the box, everything comes well-packed and presented in Logitech style to reveal only four items, all so simple. In the matching all-gray matte plastic construction you come to expect with current Logitech products, this fits right into any streaming setup. With integrated cable storage in the base, wire holders on the arm, and light, things stay neat and clean, too! After handling the stand, cheap vibes abound, but once everything is built, the light is quality. Diffusion is nice with a soft spill pattern to evenly light your subject and use RGB for ambiance and mood. Overall, it feels light, almost toy-like, and flexes and moves when fully extended. Extreme wobble fully extended I find quite annoying as it wiggles every bump to your desk. My main point of concern over time is the friction joint at the top of the arm. Over time, one can only imagine the friction mount wearing out and going limp so be ready to use another mount/arm. If you are a streamer or content creator, you may not even use the mount like me and go straight to friction arms or a small tripod with other things mounted to a cage. Design and Build Let's talk design and build now. As previously mentioned, everything is plastic - except for mount hardware, which is metal. The hinge friction is extreme out of the box, but we will see how it breaks in over time. Logitech employed the same minimalistic design language as other products in their streaming lineup. The stand is adjustable in height, and the mount swings close to 270 degrees to get the light where you need it. The base integrates excess cord storage and wire channels to make cable management more effortless. There are (2) 1/4"-20 mounting points so that you can mount these on light stands if you choose. The LED driver is integrated into the power supply, so you cannot power these via USB alone. A single sliding switch activates the corresponding side. The buttons are marked for brightness and then temperature on the button itself. When using either light, the + - button is always brightness. The other button marked with the sun is the key light's color temp, and RGB mode controls preprogrammed effects. Buttons feel high quality and clicky for a responsive, requiring little force to engage. Performance and User Experience There are two ways to use this: G Hub software and standalone. As a standalone light, this works perfectly fine, and I highly recommend it, but G Hub is where this SHINES! Everything is controlled at your fingertips and right next to your streaming software on screen. It pairs well with any webcam, instantly upping production value. If you don't need the RGB, buy the Litra Beam, and you will save a few bucks. HOWEVER, why wouldn't you NEED RGBs? If you don't need them, you will find a use for them once you have them. LIGHTSYNC seamlessly integrates RGB effects with other LIGHTSYNC Logi products for a beautiful display—all the controls you are used to are in here. You can segment the light and customize the effect to your liking. In software, you get where you want to be instantly with a click rather than cycling through the buttons to dial in the exact power and color temperature settings for the bi-color key light. The light performance is exceptional, simply put. The light is beautiful, powerful, and soft, with many custom settings to match color temperature or effects. The light has a max DC power of 13.5W (6.3W Bi-color side, 7.2W RGB side) with up to 400 Lumens reproducing color temps between 2700K - 6500K and RGB capable of 16 million colors. I wish the controls were on both sides of the light and had labels printed to make it easier to adjust without Logitech G Hub software. You can control the light wirelessly using Bluetooth on the PC (if available), but there is no app for mobile, which would be an excellent recommendation. Thoughts on Improvement I wish the build quality of the light arm were better and would like controls on both sides of the light to improve. There aren't many complaints besides build, so if you can deal with a wobbly light or have another option for mounting, this will work fine. I would have liked to see a monitor mount included; however, I understand monitors come in all shapes and sizes, so that would be difficult. It fell from my desk to the floor and survives since I have carpet, but I doubt I would have had the same outcome on tile or hardwood floors. This thing has fallen over once for me. It separated, and the white diffuser just popped off. How many times it can fall? The one time it fell over, the white diffuser popped off, and THAT WAS ON CARPET!!!!!! If you have a hard floor, all I can say is good luck -don't drop it or trip on the cord! In conclusion, the Logitech Litra Beam LX is an exceptional LED light bar that delivers outstanding lighting along with color for the creatives. Its sleek design, wireless control capabilities, and dual light panels separate it from others in the streamer category. Whether you're a content creator, vlogger, or professional photographer, this lighting tool is a game-changer for anyone wanting small affordable and functional lighting.

Versatile and affordable light
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GOOD - Includes nice desk stand - Standard 1/4" mounts for both horizontal and vertical mounting - Adjustable without software - Bluetooth connectivity BAD - Can't be powered over USB - Can't set color temp to 5600K with manual controls - Top buttons could be more distinct by feel - G Hub doesn't reconnect Bluetooth after waking from sleep - Cable management not great for USB cable TL/DR The Litra LX is a great option for a key light DETAILS The Litra LX takes a unique approach to key lighting through its shape. The wider bar spreads out the light source, softening the shadow edges like a larger light does, but without being quite as big. The Litra's maximum light output is lower than something like the more expensive Elgato Key Light, but it's more than enough for most situations ( and few people use Elgatos light near max brightness anyway ). Though meant primarily as a key light for video, it can also be used for general photography or even as a workbench light. The Litra LX also has two standard 1/4" thread mounts, one on the end and another in the middle of the beam, allowing it to be mounted horizontal or vertically. The included stand is pretty good. The base is weighty enough to keep the light upright, even with the light mounted on end and rotated down so it's hanging horizontally. The stand height is adjustable, and the friction lock keeps it in place. Hopefully it stays that way and doesn't get loose over time. Small hooks on the stand act as cable management and do their job well enough for the power cable, but not so much the USB cable. The power adapter has a 90 degree head which plugs into the underside of the beam and keeps the cable close to light body. The USB port is close to the power connection, except the USB cable sticks straight out of the light's frame, making it not so sleek. The USB cable is strictly for controlling the light color and brightness. The light must run off the AC adapter and cannot be powered over USB. Across the top of the light are manual control buttons that let you operate the light without needing Logitech's G Hub software. Buttons for power, brightness, and color are present and a toggle switch changes whether you're controlling the white light or RGB side. Both sides can be turned on and off independently. The color buttons adjust white balance for the white light and color patterns for the RGB. One small niggle is that you can't set the white light to standard 5600K daylight using the manual controls. The closest settings are 5400K and 6000K. Not a huge problem, but an annoying one. By connecting the Litra to a computer using the G Hub software, you gain much more control. RGB lighting patterns can be synced to the rest of your Logitech RGB peripherals, if you have any, or you can set whatever colors or patterns you may want. Adjusting the white balance and brightness also has much finer controls than the physical buttons allow. The included USB cable is 2m long, but if you need the light farther away from the control computer ( or just don't want the extra cable on your desk ), you can connect the light via Bluetooth as well. I had problems with Bluetooth automatically reconnecting when the computer woke up from standby. More precisely, G Hub wouldn't recognize the light in the control panel after waking even though Windows showed it still connected under Devices. Restarting G Hub fixed the issue every time. My other small complaint is I would like the physical buttons to be more distinguishable by feel. Looking past the glare of the light to operate the buttons is hit and miss, especially distinguishing between brightness and color cycle control buttons. If you don't need the backside RGB effects, the basic Litra may be the better choice for you as it's significantly less expensive. But as is, the Litra LX is certainly a good option for people who want a more compact key light that doesn't suffer the same specular shadows as other small lights.

Ultimate Streaming light
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech G Litra Beam LX is a standout in the world of key lights. Unlike its predecessor, this version comes with its own versatile stand, allowing for horizontal or vertical mounting. The standout feature here is the dual-sided design, combining mood-enhancing RGB lighting with a key light for a comprehensive streaming setup. It seamlessly integrates with Lightsync through Logitech's G Hub and offers Bluetooth control for wireless lighting adjustments. The top of the light features intuitive controls, including a power button, brightness adjustment, and a color temperature gauge that transforms into an RGB color selector when needed. This user-friendly layout enables quick, on-the-fly adjustments, and fine-tuning through software is equally accessible. The included stand is highly adaptable, offering multiple mounting options and height adjustments to suit your gaming setup, whether it's positioned below your monitor, above your displays, or even upright in between. One of the standout features is its remarkable brightness, surpassing its predecessor and serving as a significant upgrade in terms of illumination. The RGB lighting is vibrant and customizable, allowing to cycle through gradients, primary colors, and rainbow spectrums. Although it may not match the front-facing beam's intensity, it effectively brightens the area behind your monitors. The temperature controls are easy to navigate, allowing for quick transitions between colder blue hues and warmer orange tints. The temperature range of 2700-6500K strikes a balance, ensuring comfortable lighting even at the highest setting. If you require a more powerful light source than what your PC's USB ports can provide, then this light is an excellent choice. Overall, the Logitech G Litra Beam LX is an exceptional key light with the added benefit of RGB lighting.

Nice, customizable, versatile light.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having used some other webcam lights before (such as those "circle" lights), I found myself really liking this light. First and foremost, the light is rather versatile with the ability to mount it either horizontally or vertically on the stand. It also appears as though the screw threads are standardized, so I would assume it could be mounted on an articulating arm or another stand/tripod, if so desired. (I did not actually test this theory, however.) The light can be controlled manually from the unit itself, so no need for it to be plugged into a computer or accessed by an application on a smart device. There is a toggle switch that allows the user to control the front-facing white light and the rear-facing multi-colored lights. The warmth and intensity of the white light can be controlled from the light itself. The rear multi-colored lights can be toggled between different lighting orientations as well. The stand itself is actually pretty nice. It is lightweight throughout the vertical beam, but the base has some decent heft to it, so the light should not tip over easily. Cable routing is on the exterior of the stand, but there are some "channels" in which to insert the cords, so they stay in place at the rear of the stand. The light can be controlled via the Logitech G Hub software, which also allows the firmware to be updated. Given all the controls located right on the lamp itself, I found myself not really using the software much. The light is supposed to be accessible via bluetooth as well, but I did not test this functionality as the on-light controls with a computer application "backup" was all I needed. (There is a Logitech G application for smartphones that I found that connects to the device via bluetooth. I may have to try this later... See how it works.) While I thought this would predominantly be an occasional-use light for me when recording video lectures, I found that its versatility and nice stand wound up replacing the articulating desk light that I already had on my desk. Overall, it is hard to find things to complain about with this light. Well executed, Logitech!

A powerful streaming light!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Litra Beam LX is a powerful streaming light with plenty of options. Inside the box includes the light, a stand, USB-C cable, and a power cord. The light can be connected by 2 ways, either Bluetooth or USB-C. There is also manual controls on the light itself, in case you don’t want to connect it to your computer. The stand is very well made and is able to extend the light pretty far up. There are 2 options for connecting the light to the stand, so that it can bend and rotate to your liking. The Litra Beam has lights on both sides of it, and they can be used at the same time or independently. On one side, there is the white light that has many different shades of white. One the other side is the color LEDs, that can be set to a rotating pattern or static. The brightness level of both sides gets really bright and it’s nice that there is a brightness button on the main light itself. You can also change the color on the unit too. When I went to connect the light for the first time to my computer, I needed to download the Logitech software, as well as some new firmware. The software does give you controls over the lights and light patterns, but other than the firmware update, the software doesn’t do anything that you can’t already control manually. Overall, I like the Litra Beam LX. I think this is a great quality streaming light, with plenty of options. It offers plenty of different tones of white, as well as great brightness controls. I love how you have 2 options to connect it to the stand for better light placement. The color LEDs on the other side look great, there is no light bleed on the light bar and the color are perfectly distinguishable. This makes for a great streaming light and a mood light all at the same time.

Litra Beam LX
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be very honest at first I must say this is my opinion as when I un boxed the litra beam xl I had read everything on the box along with what was on the inside of the lid of the box which when bringing up the Ghub software turned out to be a tiny bit misleading with that said this part is the only con that I can and will say and that is the fact of the Litra Beam lamp not being recognized by the software but two days after the fact of getting it Logitech did update the software to where it was picked up and firmware installed all in one go even for the app that you can get for your cell phone to control it. This lamp is in fact a very descent piece of hardware that I would very highly recommend to anyone who streams while gaming it is blue tooth ready and my cell phone picked it up before my pc did the RGB lighting on the opposite side of the bar works great there are presets in the software that you can use of you can customize to your hearts content to what colors you want and as bright as you want or soft the white side also has presets that you can use or customize also you can even adjust the temperature of the lighting. What the biggest selling point of this lamp is to me is the fact of there is very little to no heat off of it and that my friends makes me want to take the flex neck lamp that I was using and throw it as far as I can see but I won't lol. As for recommending to friends I would do so 100% even to those I know that stream

Great desk light
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Litra Beam LX LED light is the perfect companion for anyone's desk, be that for a professional, gamer, or any other situation that needs a solid, steady light. The materials of the device are solid and relatively heavy, though the base of the light is more than sufficient to handle standing it up. I do like the ability to make extremely granular changes to the color and brightness of the light, on top of the fact that I can have my webcam essentially have the light automatically turn on or off. This is really critical during those times when you are having back-to-back meetings and you do not really have time to make sure that your light either stays on (if it was off). Beyond the above, it is also helpful that the light is portable, in spite of the fact that it is somewhat weighty, which means that you are not tied down to a light that might have to be installed in a semi-permanent fashion -- helpful if you ever have the need to set up shop in aother room of the house. I would definitely recommend this light for anyone on the market for it.

Bright and clean
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Litra Beam LX Premium Dual Sided RGB Led streaming light makes the image perfect. You have the options to really make the bright white light and have and accent light in the back such as red or blue and other colors available. Setup is very simple and can even be a perfect desk light for doing work. This light will brighten up the space to make your videos and just overall workspace. I would really recommend this light if you need more light in your life. The light and stand are screwed together your choice if you want it centralized or on the edge. The setting are very simple to use and switch colors in between. The cable is long enough to reach certain areas and come with the USBC for additional setting. Overall very satisfied with the RGB light and it was much needed addition to my set up. Pros I love the easy set up and easy to change colors and brightness, it is small and compact enough to fit in tight spaces however is bright enough just like a big light. The only con I have is that the flexibility is not that great but can be adjusted.

Pretty good Lamp.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, I bought it because I had a gift card and it was cheaper with it. Its suprisingly pretty bright. I use it both for work and for game nights. I usually have meetings in different timezones so me being lazy, I dont like to turn on the room lights so this helps alot, they have warm light options too so its not a big bright led in your face. Plus it serves to be a pretty decent ambient light too. For game nights, I tend to stream to some friends and the lighting helps alot plus the ambient light bounces off my white walls perfectly. Buy it if you have disposable income, or wait for a sale. I can vouch for build quality. Though I honestly expected a metal arm and frame but its plastic but the base is solid metal so it wont budge.

Great, low profile light compared to ring lights
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I like this light and am even considering purchasing a second one. I love the linear shape. It blends in nicely right above my monitors and the reflection in my glasses often blends in with the frames so it is not blatantly obvious. It is much less noticeable for me than a ring light. The G Hub software makes the light extremely easy to use and even has a setting to automatically turn the light on and off whenever the camera is turned on or off. The light can be mounted horizontally or vertically. I found that the vertical position created a lot of shadows behind me while the horizontal position filled in much better. Vertical would probably work much better with two lights. The software is able to control more than one light, so they should work just as well as a pair. Assembly and setup are simple. The base has a thumb screw to connect to the stand, then the light spins onto the top. Once the newest version of G Hub was released, the software instantly found the light as soon as it was connected. The G Hub software makes it simple when it comes to adjusting the light. The front-facing light can only be one temperature and brightness from end to end at a given time. Slide controls in the software make it simple to fine-tune exactly what is needed. The temperature adjustments are good enough to make my pale self look more natural on camera. I can see a definite improvement compared to the cheaper ring lights I was using. Having the ability to adjust on a spectrum instead of a few steps also makes it nice. Cheaper lights might have three options while this light gives much more flexibility. The rear-facing light is RGB and is also extremely customizable. It can be divided into seven individual segments/colors, left, center, right, or all segments as steady colors. Additionally, there are a variety of cycling patterns – even an audio visualizer. The rear light is also able to sync with my Logitech RGB keyboard. If someone does not want to use the G Hub software, the light has buttons to manually make many of the same adjustments. The light connects via USB or Bluetooth. Unlike some earlier models, it must be powered by an AC adapter because it needs more power than what typical USB ports can provide. The power cord has a low-profile plug that blends in well and gets routed down the stand through some clips for integrated cable management. Annoyingly, the USB cable is a USB-C cord that sticks straight out, perpendicular to the light. While the Bluetooth connection is an option, it would have been nice if Logitech provided a USB cable that was much lower profile, like the power cord, so it could blend in. I am unsure if they figured most people would connect via Bluetooth or if they just did not think about it. The cord definitely exists, but I am guessing the provided cord is cheaper. I am happy to say that the stand has a small footprint on my desk, and the post is in the very back of the base, with a flat space in front of it. That means I can place stuff on it, so it is not completely wasted space on the desk. My only other request would be to have some type of clamp mount that could attach to my monitor stand. I have a four-monitor stand so getting the light into a perfect location in that setup is impossible. Instead, I have to figure out the next best position and take up space on my desk that could be completely free. Even so, I am still going to get a second light to have them on either side of me.

Great Desktop Lighting Solution
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Litra Beam was such an awesome addition to my home office set up. I typically work from home, so spend my days working on stuff for my job, but then at night, I shift the purpose of my space towards games and creating video content. I've been a fan of Logitech's peripherals for years, and they're a brand that I trust to deliver a quality product and a great user experience. From my Harmony remotes, to my MX set up, the Litra Beam is a wonderful addition to any streaming or home video set up. Something I really love about this light is that there's actually 2 lights: a front-facing light that goes through all the white temps, and a back-facing light for ambiance / mood colors. It's pretty stratightforward to set up. Out of the box, you get the Litra Beam, a standard power cord, and then a USB-C cable for connecting the light to your PC. On the light itself, there's a variety of switches to customize the light the way you want it. There's a toggle switch that allows you to customize the colors, temperature, and behaviors of the front-facing or rear-facing lights. The front light is only white, but can go from cold / daylight white to a warm candlelit type of light. You can also customize the brightness level from slightly dim to full blast. The rear-facing lights are where the fun comes in, instead of switching between shades of white, you can toggle between different ambiant color lights. My personal favorite was the pulsing rainbow effect where the colors seem to move from the top to the bottom of the light. You can also control the intensity of the rear-facing light as well. If you want, you can also download the Logitech app and connect the light to your PC and have it behave in a more customized way. I personally didn't see the need to try that out yet for the purposes of my review, because I was able to use the phyiscal buttons to customize it to how I like. Speaking of customization, you can also use the stand to mount the light in a vertical or horizontal manner. I currently have mine in the vertical mode, slightly angled towards my face to create a more dramatic light for my video. If you're looking for a great desktop light solution that provides a lot of options, as well as fun ambiant options, then the Litra Beam LX should be on your list to check out!

A really versatile light source
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve struggled for some time to get the right lighting for everything from webcasts to video calls. Most light rings / bars cast shadows or reflections on my glasses. Even when I can overcome the reflections, they’re difficult to adjust. The Litra Beam LX Premium just solved my problem. The Litra Beam is large, but if you have the desk space it’s well worth the space it occupies. The included stand adjusts for height and angle, and I was able to move it high enough to eliminate reflections while angling it downward for a natural lighting look. It also uses a standard tripod mount, so you can place it on the stand of your choice. Of course, the white light adjusts for brightness and heat, but you don’t need to use the buttons on the fixture. The Logitech LogiGo software allows you to control all the features right from your laptop, and to do so easily. Adjustments made from the keyboard make it easier to get the effect I want, as I am already in position while setting light levels. This also means I can make simple tweaks to the lighting even while I’m talking or recording, without any obvious hand movements. But the white light isn’t the only part of the Litra Beam LX. On the opposite side of the white light is a multi-colored light. This can be set to the color of your choice, or made to strobe or gently change in intensity and color. I mostly use this as a background effect, bouncing the colored light off a white wall. It adds an interesting touch to recordings. For professional looking videos and calls, the right light source is essential. The Litra Beam LX Premium provides a professional touch for standard images and extra features for enhanced interest. It’s a great addition to my home studio.

Good lighting, limited design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lights well for video, evenly, with minimal bright spots. The temp range provides good control of light to enhance the subject. It gets really bright, maybe too bright for some. But the range is certainly adequate and useful. Unlike ring lights, this light minimizes the obvious reflection of the ring shape on eyes, glasses, surfaces, etc. ring lights serve a purpose I suppose but I really don’t like those reflections. Makes people’s eyes look weird. It’s hard to adjust color temp and brightness though because you have to stare straight at it to find the controls, which are on the head vs. the stand. The multicolor light on the opposite side could be fun in the right settings; I don’t have much use for it. One thing it misses for me - I would like it to function better as a desk lamp in between on-camera uses to eliminate needing two lamps for two purposes and to free up clutter. But the head only pivots on the very tip of the stand. There’s no way to extend it out AND point it down at the same time. As a video light is really good, as a multi-purpose lamp not so much.

Initial hiccups but enjoying it now
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Litra had some initial software issues after installing Logitech's GHub software. It wouldn't show me any UI or control capabilities for my Litra and when I did have it working for a few minutes, didn't detect the Litra at all. However, I ended up contacting customer support and they walked me through some quite low-level clearing-out of the Software followed by a reinstall. After this, things are working well. The device itself is *very* sleek which I appreciate, and - at its maximum height - sits enough over my 24" ultrawide monitor that it lights up my face decently when I'm on camera. Controls for the light via the GHub software are intuitive and offer a very wide variety of customization options. However, the simple ability for the Litra to automatically turn on the front-facing white light when my camera is in use is a game-changer for me. My dimly-lit home office is no longer a problem! Now when I take a conference call the light turns on automatically and shuts off when I'm finished. PERFECTION. I also appreciate the Litra is able to be used completely via Bluetooth so it doesn't take up another USB port on my system and add another set of cords to my desktop. The built-in cord management also makes keeping the aesthetic pleasant easy.
