Another Home Run For Logitech!

Yet again Logitech leaves me sounding like a broken record. The folks there have come up with yet another winner accessory. In this age of Zoom & Teams meetings, it is more important than ever to have a decent set up at home so you don't look like a ghoul on screen. If you are in fact a ghoul, please accept my humble apology. If you are a normal human, please read on.
Darn near everyone has a webcam built into their laptop/desktop or has an external one (Logitech makes several awesome ones of those), but very few have a decent light set up. Unless you are an 'influencer' or a 'content creator' already you probably haven't shelled out for a light at all, let alone a ring light. No matter what you are doing in front of the camera, you NEED a light like the Litra Glow. I don't care if it is only talking to coworkers at 7pm in you jimmy-jammies. If you pick up and use the Litra, you will be the best lit and best looking person on the call.
So what to I like so much about the Logitech Litra Glow? Let me count the ways:
1. Super Easy Set-Up: Hang it on the back of your screen, plug it into a USB port and go. All the controls you need are on the back of the light, so if you don't feel like downloading the Logitech software, you don't have to (though I recommend that you do so).
2. Adjustable: You can set the height and angle of the light easily so it works for pretty much any set up.
3. Wide Range Of Settings: You can change the brightness or the color temp right from buttons on the back of the light, or you can get a bunch of presets and more granular control from the App. You have a ton of options to match the needs of your space, your skin color, and the other available light.
4. Doesn't Get Hot: If you have done any professional photo or videography at all, you know all those beauty lights can get pretty toasty pretty quick. You don't have to worry about that at all with the Litra. I bet you could go all day with this thing on and you would not notice any additional warmth beyond what your computer is already throwing out.
I do have one wish for Litra 2 though, and that would be some kind of mount/stand that would let it stand on its own rather than only hanging from the monitor. As it is, it will do 99% of what most people would need it to do. That remaining one percent would be taken care of if you had a way to make it stand on it's own so you could use it in a few more locations/set-ups.
I have absolutely no 'cons' for this thing. If you spend ANY time in front of a webcam in your day to day work or hobby, and you don't already have a light set-up, Logitech is making it super easy for you. My wife loves how this thing makes her look on the home computer, and now I have to get her two of these for her work set-ups (she has offices in two different building and can't be bothered to unplug and replug this in, though most people might not have that problem). Fortunately, Logitech also priced this right at $60, so it won't break the bank.
I've attached a few photos of me and my fuzzy dude Enzo and you can see how great it makes him look (there is no hope for me). Seriously, go get yourself a Logitech Litro Glow, you can thank me later.

Slick, Compact and Powerful Light

I don't have great lighting in my room, so whenever I video chat, I have to flip all the lights, but oftentimes, that’s not even enough lighting, so I look quite dimmed.
However, now that I have Logitech’s Litra Glow Premium LED Streaming Light, I no longer have to worry about not having enough lighting in my room. I’ve always been a fan of Logitech products but this streaming light is my favorite by far!
I can easily adjust the direct light to my face and it gives a really nice natural glow without making my face too pale.
During my recent video chat with my family, they immediately noticed the better lighting and asked me what I did differently in my room. They were very impressed with this lighting as well.
The setup was very simple and easy. I just plugged the USB cord to a USB charger and clipped the unit to the top of my monitor – that is it. I played around with the angle and the brightness and found the exact setup I liked (warm candlelight is my favorite).
Once it’s mounted to the monitor, it doesn’t rattle or move, so it stays on very securely. I especially love that it doesn’t take up any space on my desk (who needs another stand or tripod!)
I’m super impressed with this slick, compact yet very powerful streaming light. It’s also priced reasonably and I highly recommend it!

Just what the doctor ordered.

The Logitech “Litra Glow” streaming light is just what the doctor ordered. I have been using a gooseneck table lamp and a room lamp as a light source to overpower the window backlight while conducting daytime work videos conference sessions. The gooseneck lamp works but it left a harsh shadow and there was no easy way to control the amount of light being cast. This Logitech light has so much more potential to be a streamer best friend with a video conference and creators in mind.
It features a sleek 3.5” square frosted cover, LED light with 5 levels of colour temperature and brightness adjustable. The lamp features five different colour ranges from 2700 K to 6500 K that can adjust your mood and lighting requirements. It also features five different levels of brightness, though unless you are in a totally dark room, levels 3, 4 and 5 are probably the most useful brightness levels. Around the back are buttons to manually control the light settings.
The light mounts on your monitor like webcams do but have one neat feature, it can be raised to be above your line of sight, and can be further tilted up or down or rotated 270*. This allows for various lighting effects to be created, though, with one light, it just allows optimum placement. The Litra Glow light can be used as a Key Light in a multi-light set up for streaming and can provide quite a soft look. The light quality is not harsh, the colour is well balanced, and I found the 3000++K useful for my needs. I tried shining the light at a white wall to see the soft glow effect in a dark room. The diffuser on the light does an excellent job, however, you can still have strong shadows if it is placed too close to an object.
The light can be powered by a USB port without hooking it to a computer, but if you do attach it to your computer, you get a few features from the provided Logitech Creator software. I use a Logitech gaming keyboard & mouse, and the Logitech G Hub software picked up my light when I plugged it in. The in-app settings include 6 preset colours and moods, including bright cool blue, and bright warm candlelight, ranging in various colour temperatures and brightness levels. Should one of the presets not work, you can adjust it manually to suit your needs.
The first day I used this during my weekly 9 am conference call, the increased light was immediately noticed. I played with the various positions and colours until I found one that suited my liking. During the evening hours, I was able to reduce the brightness of the light to compensate for the lower light requirements in the evening, to highlight my face during a late evening gaming session.
I love the design of this light, given that this market had other alternatives, but none as flexible in position and abilities. The light quality is soft and yet bright enough to light your face. This is a beautiful and functional product from Logitech. I highly recommend this if you are a creator, or have regular gaming/streaming/video conference sessions and need more light to make your video look outstanding.
Pros:
Lightweight, color accurate, video light to help improve your webcam video
Physical button and software based setting changes
Cons:
It runs a bit hot to touch
Its not battery operated, though you can connect a USB powerbank via the provided cable.

Shed Some Light On Your Stream
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Logitech promises a simple to use, innovative streaming light with the Litra Glow so I had to give it a try since I have a podcast every week that I struggle to find the right lighting for. This product seemed to hit all the checkboxes I needed from a light without getting in the way like my old tripod LED streaming light, so here’s how I liked it.
Build Quality:
This light is fairly inexpensive, so I didn’t expect much and I’m glad I didn’t because the build quality is pretty flimsy on the Litra Glow. It’s all plastic housing doesn’t seem like it could take a drop or fall, but then again this light will be mostly stationary once you get it adjusted to your liking. The all plastic build keeps the unit light though and that’s pretty good considering it’s probably going to be hanging off the top of your monitor like mine is.
Ease of Use:
You can totally use this light by just plugging it into any USB brick and control the lighting from the back of the unit where there are buttons that turn the unit on/off and adjust the brightness and warmth of the light. If you want control at your fingertips then you’ll have to plug it into a USB port on your PC and load the Logitech G-Hub software. I did have to swap out the USB C cord with a longer one since the one provided is too short if your PC sits underneath your desk. The software will allow you to adjust the light to your liking while streaming a live webcam image. This is super helpful and a handy feature that really takes this product up a notch in my opinion. The integration with the G-Hub is a great feature that allows you to easily switch your lighting mid-stream if conditions change without having to get up and reach around for controls.
Lighting:
Well, this wouldn’t be much of a streaming light if it didn’t actually light up your face and help display your best self to the world, right? Well the Litra does just that with it’s frameless diffuser, which is actually kind of awesome. The diffuser itself is high quality and really spreads the light out to make it much less harsh than my other LED light with a regular framed diffuser. Adjusting the temperature of the lighting can make the glow of the light go from bright blue daylight all the way to candlelight orange and everywhere in between. There are several presets as well that you can mess with or even create your own. The Litra also gets blindly bright and even in total darkness I don’t find myself raising the power level more than about ¼ of the way up the slider bar. The Litra Glow does not have RGB, so you’ll only be experiencing the normal hues temperatures ranging from cool to warm.
Overall:
I really like the Logitech Litra Glow. Sure, it feels a little cheap, but you’ll forget about that once you put it in place. I have to knock a star off because for a unit that is supposed to be connected to a PC, the USB cord is super short and that’s not excusable for the price. Overall if you need a basic streaming light that won’t get in your way and allows you to control all it’s functions from a software program then this light is for you.

The Logitech Litra Glow is a light that makes you look good on camera. It has customizable color and brightness, allowing anyone to find a good level of illumination that works for them. It sits on top of a computer monitor and slides up and down based on your needs. It connects to your computer via USB (C to A), and can be controlled using manual buttons on the back or in Logitech's G Hub software.
I am actually no stranger to using a light to illuminate my face on camera. I have a relatively inexpensive lamp designed for sufferers of Seasonal Affective Disorder, which has 4 adjustable levels of brightness and offers both very white and very yellow light. You can see it at its dimmest and whitest/yellowest next to the Litra Glow in the pictures I've uploaded here. It plug into a wall outlet and I have it mounted by hooking its kickstand to the USB cord that comes from my Blue Yeti microphone on its stand.
Compared to the SAD lamp, the Litra Glow is smaller, but far more customizable in terms of brightness and color. The Litra Glow also has the advantage of being mounted on top of a computer monitor and being adjustable in height. I have found it to be a very versatile addition to my recording/Zoom call setup, and it beats the older lamp with all of its customizable features.
The only one complaint I have with the Litra glow is that it doesn't extend just a few inches higher on its sliding height adjuster. I wear glasses, and it is very difficult to find an angle where the Litra Glow doesn't reflect in them. It isn't the worst thing ever, but I would prefer to be able to place it ever so slightly higher in order to avoid that problem. I suppose I'll have to opt for the high-end antireflective coating on my next pair of glasses.

One of my two lume cubes died, the one I use at work. just died and could not be revived. others reported similar issues. Out of warranty. Replaced it with this, and I love it. compared to the lume cube, it is: (a) more flexible, in terms of operation (brightness; tint); (b) easier to use (does not require charging); (c) easier to mount (it has an extremely clever mount that lets you put it high over the monitor, no need for that fiddly mini-tripod); and (d) less expensive. Highly recommended. thinking of getting a second one for home.

As a casual user who uses Zoom calls for work and school. The Logitech Litra Glow is a great addition to my setup. It provides soft, natural light that makes me look good on camera. I can adjust the brightness and color temperature (with a touch of a button) to match my environment. The light is also easy to set up and use. It is small and lightweight, easy to transport and set up.
It also has a built-in clip, so you can clip it on your laptop or on a shelf, and it has a USB-C port, so you can connect it to your computer or laptop. I would definitely recommend this light!

Great Flexibility in Lighting

I've been using doing video conferencing for nearly 30 years. I've always recognised how important decent lighting and backgrounds are. Todays video conferencing is so much better that what I started with, but still getting lighting right is such a problem. Especially when using notebooks/laptops. The Logitech Litra Glow offers numerous features that are quite important. The three biggest are the ability to control the brightness of the light, the color temperature, and the light's position. First there is no perfect answer. It all depends on the environment you videoconferencing from. The lighting in the room your in greatly effects how a close range light, like the Litra Glow is effective. If your heavily back lighted, you need a different type of lighting and if you have a lot of fluorescents overhead. One of the "hidden" features of the Litra Glow is the software that can be used with it. At first I thought why do I need software for a light. But after using the G Hub software, which lets you view your live video, and it let's you control the brightness and color temperature (with infinite flexibility). So you can see, in real time, the effect that the Litra Glow has on "your" captured image. You can move two sliders adjusting the color temp and brightness. This coupled with your environmental lighting allow you to see how you will look 'live'. Too much brightness washes you out, or causes terrible reflections if you wear glasses, so getting the lights brightness and angle are very important. A soft color temp tends to make you look more calm, where a white light tends to be more harsh, but it depends on your rooms lighting, you must work with the controls to get the right combination. The light can also be controlled with buttons on the back, and the light can be extended up and down, this may/will affect shadows on your face and it depending on brightness. So there are a lot of combinations to consider. And if attached to your notebook you still can't get the right angle, the light includes a standard tripod screw mount. So instead of resting the light on your notebook's top you can use a small to large tripod to position the light exactly where you want it. You could even use multiple lights to completely eliminate shadows.
Having used several other lights previously, I have to say Logitech seems to have thought of everything, and really improved the simple computer light (which might not have realized is so important to your image). Evaluating how you look in real time is so (pardon my pun) enlightening. They have done a great job of improving what seems a simple product.

This is a great filming light. The adjustability of warmth and intensity/brightness is more adjustable than others I've used. The light diffusing lens lights my office space very well for video meetings and filming training or meeting videos. It does require a constant power source, there is no battery so that limits some of its possible uses. The only annoying downside to this light is that it is very top heavy and tries to fall forward from my top monitor(twin curved monitors on a stack mount) since it is tipped slightly forward. A little two-sided tape to the very bottom of the light keeps it in place. Otherwise, this light has performed as expected, and then some.

Pros:
Great small form factor key light. Light is defused well through the obscure lens making the light soft. Several lighting levels and kelvin colors to choose from. With logitec software you can fine tune light settings. Buttons on the rear are easy to navigate. 1/4 mount great for using other mounting systems
Cons:
Provided mounting isn't well thought out. Mounts to the top of you monitor with little adjustments only. Should have had a integrated tripod to use on the desk.
Overall:
Great little budget key-light just suggest getting a more versatile mount

Nice small footprint. Lots of color options that can be set in the G Hub app. Mount works well and takes just a few seconds to setup. I have mine off to the side on a 2nd monitor so that I'm not looking directly at the light.
Definitely evens out my camera lighting and am pleased with the warm options. (See with / without light pics).
Only con (really more missing "nice to have") is that there isn't the ability to set a hotkey combo for switching lighting profiles or turning the light on/off. You have to do that in the G hub app. (just a few mouse clicks.) I reached out to tech support to ask about this and they said if you have a Logitech "G" keyboard or mouse, they have the capability to assign a "G" key to do that, so it is possible with the right hardware.

The Logitech Litra Glow is a premium light for streaming and webcam recordings. Included in the box is the light itself, a 5-foot USB-C to USB-A cable, and a 7-inch monitor mount. The mount can extent upward along with a hinge which can rotate and tilt. The light can unscrew from the mount, revealing a 1/4” mounting thread.
Buttons on the rear of the device allow for full control of the unit. Power, brightness, and color temperature can be controlled using the physical buttons or the Logitech G Hub software. Lighting presets are also included in the software. Color temperature ranges from 2700k to 6500k and can get impressively bright.
Edgeless diffuser and “Logitech TrueSoft Technology” creates soft, properly diffused light. The light is also UL verified no photobiological LED hazard at 12 hours of exposure.
Overall, the Logitech Litra Glow is an easy to use, quality light to take your recordings and livestreams to the next level.

This is my third attempt at a light for podcasts, video recording and Zoom-Teams-Google Meet. This one works. With an app that allows you to do all the things with brightness and color that most competitors require manual buttons to do, this is brighter when needed, doesn't require suction cups or stands, and of course works as promised.

Great product for the price! I love that it has different temperature and brightness settings --- more than enough for what I need. I needed this for virtual meetings and with how my desk is set up, windows are behind me, thus backlighting was blacking out my face. This Logitech light solved the issue! The lighting is just what I needed. Super easy to get set up -- plugs into one my laptop's USB portsand rests easily on top of the screen. My only drawback is that how you position it on top of your screen, you need a good bit of space (6-9 inches) from the wall to the laptop to allow the light to fit. Having only a 24" desk, I don't get a lot of workspace in front of me. The light is easy enough to take off and put back on as needed, so not really an issue for me, but definitely something I had to note. Overall, happy with the purchase!

I bought this light primarily for web conferencing. It attaches easily to my monitor and can be angled up or down. With the Logitech G Hub software installed, the unit can be activated automatically whenever my webcam is turned on. The light features multiple brightness levels, which is helpful when the ambient lighting conditions in my room change during the day. The LED bulbs appear to flicker at certain low brightness settings and can create unattractive 'hot spots' on my face at higher levels, so I'm considering wrapping the light with some inexpensive diffusion gel to compensate. Despite these minor shortcomings, I found this to be one of the best affordable options for lighting.

My workspace/desk faces an interior corner of my office, which means the windows on the exterior wall are kitty corner, over my left shoulder and there is one that is almost directly behind me. The desk, which is built into the room/walls, means that I don't really have any flexibility to move my workspace. Depending on the time of day, if there is strong light coming through that window, even with a prior LED desk lamp that I had used behind the webcam, I could still show up as quite shadowed on a video feed. After getting the first one of these, I picked up a second one, being thrilled with the ability to adjust settings in my OS rather than having to do manual adjustments (though you can do that with the buttons on the backs of these). They sync in the G HUB software(!), which means I don't need to tweak them separately and those settings can be assigned to the G keys on my Logitech G910 keyboard. I have it set up to turn the lights on and off with a keystroke as well as to adjust the brightness and color tone with four other G keys. No need to open the G HUB app to make these adjustments.
The best part, given my lighting situation, is that I get plenty of light on my face to offset times where I have a lot of sunlight coming through the window behind me. I had been debating getting another shade installed on that window, which I still might do to be able to dial down the brightness of the Litra lights, but I am able to get perfectly functional lighting for video feeds from my webcam in the meantime. The only quibble I have is with the G HUB app, which has a black backdrop for it. This can means that if you adjust the brightness and color in the app, if you then leave the app to use a video feed where more of your screen will be creating more light, how you look on camera might be a bit off. e.g., I do a good deal of screen capture for educational videos, so I don't have a black backdrop on screen as might be seen in Zoom meetings. Logitech might be wise to afford a white backdrop for adjusting settings for the lights so that what you see in G HUB is likely to align with what you see if you leave the app and are using a brighter desktop environment while using your webcam.
All in all, I see this as a great product, offering the ability to adjust the settings on your computer desktop (Windows/Mac) without having to do so manually. The use of the Litra becomes even more outstanding and easy to use if you have a Logitech G keyboard with programmable G keys.
