Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Logi Circle camera's excellent picture quality, ease of use, and two-way talk feature, with many praising its simple setup and impressive night vision capabilities. However, customers are negative about the battery life and limited cloud storage options, citing concerns about short recording durations and connectivity issues in certain situations. The wide field of view also received positive feedback. While some found the price reasonable, others expressed a desire for more storage.

I'd recommend fully researching competitors to FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU PERSONALLY NEED, because each camera seems to pack particularly different features (battery life, swivel, 1 or 2-way communication, cloud vs. on-board vs. at-home video storage, etc). That said, this camera fulfills my needs, which are fairly minimal. Good quality, good iPhone app. This one has only a 6-hour battery, which doesn't bother me, because I leave it plugged in.

Hello ! Thank you for your review. We are very happy you chose Circle for the picture quality and the ease using the Circle app. The battery life of Circle is around : 3h15 in day mode ; 2h in night vision mode and up to 12 hours in battery saving mode. Battery Saving Mode places your camera into idle when a stream is not actively viewed. This allows your camera to run on battery power while it's off the charging ring for a longer period of time.. You can find more information on battery saving mode here : http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/circle/faq#link_Enable-power-saving-mode-on-the-Logi-Circle-camera. You can contact us at [email protected] if you ever need us. -Marion from Logitech LogiCC

Picture quality is great. Free 24 hr cloud service. Just wish could store internally. Battery lasts about 2 hrs unplugged. The daily recap is great too. Less for security but more for fun.

I bought 2 of these cameras. They were a breeze to set up, and they work really well. They are much more reliable and a far better remote interface than the Samsung cameras I had been using previously. The picture quality is great, and the streaming seems reliable and smooth. The only thing I don't like about these cameras is that to get anything more than very basic usage out of them, you have to pay monthly or annually for online storage. I ended up having to sign up for the higher end plan for my vacation condo, as we often go 2 or 3 months without being there, and unless I'm going to check the cameras every day, I need to get the 30 day storage option. I can't believe they charge 9.99/month for this service! And what's worse, that's PER CAMERA! Since I bought 2 cameras, I'm having to pay Logitech $19.98 every month to get the full benefit of cameras I already paid a premium price to purchase. Over the long haul, that's a LOT of money. Great cameras. Expensive to use, unless you're okay with your files being overwritten/replaced every day.

Overall this is a good camera especially for the price. I was in the market for a wifi camera for a little added security. The video quality is great with very little lag even with the 1080p res. It was super easy to set up to wifi and the app is well designed. You also have the option to add more cameras. A few down falls is it would disconnect for no reason don't happen that often but it has.

This is a great camera for watching pets and indoor rooms, camera has free 24hr backup, unless you pay for extra, night vision actually works very well. The only down fall is the microphone when talking to pets or people the microphone is not very loud and hard to hear. Has motion detection that works great, 180 degree flip, home and away options. I have bought two now and am very satisfied.

I purchased this camera to watch the front door, for guests and package deliveries. We spend most of our time in the lower level of our house while the front door is on the upper level. I had originally tried a video doorbell but we could never get them to work for one reason or another. This unit worked out of the box instantly. Very little setup was needed. While the camera itself is not an outdoor camera, we have it mounted via its very strong magnet to the front door which is under a large covered porch. It works great. It worked great with my Netgear R8000 wireless router. The video is beyond good in my opinion. The push to talk and speaker on the unit work great. The only thing I could only wish for would be to view the camera on a browser on my PC, because currently it only supports being viewed from the smart phone app.

Set up was very easy, the app is nice and works well and connects easily when away from home. The image quality is not as good as some other systems out there but its not too bad. The two way talk feature is ok. The sound coming in is not very loud. The night vision is a good feature and works well.

I bought this when I went away for the weekend and I'm debating whether I should recommend this or not. It really is a great camera for monitoring what is happening in your house, but there are several issues with this that prevent it from being an excellent home security system. It really is an amazing piece of hardware. The video quality is fantastic. When it's in IR mode, you can see everything in the room very clearly. The microphones are also very sensitive. The app was giving me notifications from my cats shifting positions on the couch or meowing loudly. The magnetic charging ring is very strong. I have full confidence in putting this on a wall without worrying about it falling off. And the 8-foot USB cable is perfect for reaching just about any nearby outlet. And I will admit that the daily summary of what it thinks are significant events for the past 24 hours is actually kind of cool. However, there are several things that Logitech needs to do to make this an exceptional security system. Because you need an e-mail address to create an account, you would think that they'd send a photo snapshot of activity to your e-mail address when something is detected, right? Nope. It's not even an option. If something actually happens, I'd rather have some kind of proof in my e-mail. The app is very basic. Each of the options comes down to on or off. You have no options to increase or decrease sensitivity. When I'm away I could get several alerts per hour because of my cats. Granted, it's better to have more sensitivity than not, but some intelligence to allow a percentage of frame-by-frame change would still allow the differentiation between a cat and a human. But by far the biggest problem with this camera is that Logitech forces the use of their cloud services. If their cloud goes down, you can't even MONITOR what's going on because the app gives a "CAMERA IS OFFLINE" error when it's not. Logitech even WARNS you that their services might be unavailable during peak times. This eliminates the Circle as a serious contender as a "security" device. And because they prioritize potential cloud service revenues over customers' security concerns or options, you have no storage alternatives at all. None. You can't use a micro SD card. You can't use Google Drive. You can't use Dropbox. You can't use local NAS space. (Some of us do have locked/secured computer cabinets, you know.) Nothing. What if a criminal gets clever and severs your Internet connection before entering the house? (Highly improbable but still statistically possible.) Well, it sucks to be you then. CAMERA IS OFFLINE. What if you'd prefer a local backup that's up even if your Internet is down? Nope. That's not allowed because then you'd be denying Logitech the ability to get subscription revenue from you. So, again, your "security" takes a lower priority than their ability to get subscription revenue from you. I make the exact same criticism for the Nest and more recently Samsung. So, no, I'm not picking on Logitech specifically. Don't get me wrong. Their cloud services don't go down very often; but the fact is that they do go down at times -- and Logitech gives you NO other alternatives for storage. Any device that requires cloud services but offers no alternatives cannot be considered to be a security device as far as I'm concerned, Overall, the hardware is solid. The video quality, whether visible light or infrared, is quite excellent. The microphone sensitivity lets you hear floor boards creak. The magnetic charging ring and long power cable are wonderful. As a home monitor, the Circle is fantastic and I absolutely recommend it. As a "security device" .... no. There are still too many issues, too few options, and too much emphasis on sucking cloud subscription revenues out of customers.

Clear Picture - Beware IR in Window

Picture is awesome and camera does a great job with white balance. One thing of note is if you plan on placing it in a window to watch the outside. If you do this, the IR (night vision) will reflect off the glass so, make sure you disable it. If you are going to use it to view inside, leave the IR enabled and enjoy the picture. Provides a wonderful wide view 130 degree which is more than most cameras. Love the built-in magnetic mount, able to use on window sills and wall-corners that have wire mess for drywall. Wonderful little camera, easy app, and nice end-of-day debrief. Better than Ring and Nest, not as versatile as Arlo.

I like the camera and it's video capability but the device did not do what salesman told me. You cannot download the video to anywhere for saving or storage. Only 24 hours at a time is automatically uploaded to the web on private site of the company. You can only view it via an app and not copy or manipulate it in any way. Every 24 hours it is erased and gone.

The camera has good picture I like that you can talk from the camera it's got a built-in mic it's awesome the battery life is that great but if you put it on safemode I can last a long time. The only thing with that is it doesn't capture everything and only captures if there is something moving and that doesn't always work right so usually leave the camera off of safemode for it to really record well. The other thing is 24 hours of cloud storage isn't enough they need to update that even if it's on a paid bases

For a security camera or just to watch your fur babies, it's pretty great as far a live feed. The picture is exceptional and I love the digital playback. I wish the camera actually could be moved remotely. Once you place it, that's where it stays. The notifications to my phone are nice but there's about a 1 or two minute delay before receiving them after the camera has picked up on movement. Also, if taken off the charger, the camera battery only lasts about an hour or two before it completely dies so you shouldn't depend on being able to move it and expect it to last all day.

Hello Vicky, Thank you for your feedback. You are happy that you love the picture quality offered by Circle. The small delay in the notification is because the system analyzes the video in near real time. The advantage of this approach is that it reduces and generally eliminates false alerts. Regarding battery life, the battery can last up to 3hr 15min in day mode (Continuous streaming) and 2 hours in night vision (Infrared light is ON). To allow the camera to run on battery power while it's off the charging ring for a longer period of time, you can enable battery saving mode. Battery life lasts up to 12 hours in this mode. You will find more information about this feature on the following link : http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/circle/faq#link_Enable-power-saving-mode-on-the-Logi-Circle-camera.
