Generally great but one minor design snafu

This review applies to both the Logitech M325 and the Microsoft 3500 except as noted Both mice are well designed from an ergonomic standpoint with slightly concave edges for the thumb and ring/pinky fingers. The left and right buttons are under a flexible smooth top and provide easy click and doubleclicking, though the Microsoft mouse has a slightly more pronounced feel and sound of the the click. Both are fine. The wheel of the Logitech mouse rolls very smoothly whereas the Microsoft wheel has clearly defined detent positions about every 1/8" of rotation. As with the clicking, preferences are more a matter of taste than functionality. Both work fine though it is a bit more difficult to regulate a "standard one notch" movement as defined in mouse settings. I found no need to install drivers on my XP machines, the standard Windows drivers were installed automatically the first time after a few seconds. The aspect which most impressed me was the range of the wireless connection. Having had for a couple years to put up with a very old wireless mouse which I had to almost literally hang the dongle over the edge of the desk so the old mouse could talk to it, I was amazed when I started checking the range... wow, 3 feet! Lordy, 10 feet... Holy Mackerel, 30 feet!!! I had to have my girlfriend watch the screen to see that the cursor was moving. Sheesh! 35 feet and through a wall is around where I gave up deciding that I wasn't going to be playing with the computer from different rooms or from 30 or even 10 feet away. Battery life is impressive, though as with most devices I use NiMH rechargeable batteries. They last easily over a month without turning the mice off. However, Logitech dropped the ball a bit on the placement of the storage notch for the dongle (excuse me, 'nano-receiver') imho. Logitech placed it inside the battery compartment so that every time you want to insert or remove the dongle from its storage, you have to open the battery flap. Personally I find this a bit annoying and also creates a possible situation where the battery could be knocked loose. Microsoft on the other hand has the dongle storage recess on the base outside of the battery compartment. Some may find this to be a bit snippy of a distinction, but as a troubleshooter, I find that the less chance you give a person to screw something up (ie - knock a battery loose), the better the overall design for a consumer product. Both retail at BB for about $30, but I got the Logitech on sale for $12.99. So what if it has idiotic markings on it? :) So I guess my suggestion would be that if you aren't in dire need of a wireless mouse but want one, check in every week or two and wait for the item to go on sale. But all else (price) being equal, I'd recommend the Microsoft 3500 over the Logitech M325.

    Good Laptop Mouse

I purchased this mouse to replace another one that was out dated. This mouse is much better than the old one I had because it is completely wireless where my older mouse was not. This gives me the ability to move the mouse freely avoiding the annoyance of having the cord bump against my laptop or desk lamp while in use. I was on the fence between purchasing the Logitech M310 and M325. Unbeknownst to me, this mouse is actually smaller than the M310. This means if you have larger hands or are planning to purchase a mouse for your desktop, then I would recommend the Logitech M310. I use this mouse primarily for doing homework and web browsing. It works perfectly for just that. Although the Dots Per Inch count isn't high, tracking is smooth and the mouse wheel is quick. However, (and this is for the gamers out there) while gaming the mouse wheel is too quick and with low DPI tracking is not good. I have used this mouse for gaming on Skyrim, FEAR, Far Cry 3, Minecraft and DayZ. Yes, even changing the number of lines at a time within the Mouse Configuration Vertical Scroll setting does not help with this issue so gamers, from my experience, please research other mice. In conclusion, if you plan on upgrading your mouse for your laptop and are tired of wired mice, then purchase this one. It is a bit smaller than the Logitech M310 so if you have large hands I'd recommend the M310 instead. Again, this mouse works best for practical use and not so much for gaming. One more thing, the wireless receiver picks up this mouse from a good distance so if you have a desktop below your desk or to the side of your desk you will notice no hiccups at all. This is from my experience while using it on my second computer which is a desktop. Thanks, Marshall

I didn't realize how small the mouse was but oh well that isn't really a negative to me. I am really enjoying this mouse so far. I am posting a review I made on another site here as it pretty much says everything I have to say: note I am the user from the other site. I recently bought this mouse as my old corded one was starting to give me some issues... I find the mouse "moderately sensitive which is a good thing. It only took a few moments to get adjusted to the new sensitivity. I am not too fond of the material on it and the mouse is somewhat "small" but I do have large hands as well. The left click is very very silent while the right click does have a noise with it. The wheel function...is well amazing. I am able to scroll an entire page in mere seconds with it very sensitive/powerful wheel scroll. You can hold down the mouse wheel and go left and right. You can "click the wheel to the right/left to go either back a page or go forward a page" I like that function a lot as well as I do a lot of generic surfing where the back button is used on forums etc. I got the mouse for like $5 on a "half a day sale" which is really nice. I would suggest this mouse to any mouse enthusiast..may not be the greatest for gaming but for general purposes it's an excellent choice. Other thoughts: It has a special feature where you can "turn on/off" the battery that is in it (AA). I don't know if this is a "new" or "unique" feature as this is my first real mouse purchase but it seems like a really cool thing.

Up front, let me tell you that I reserve 5 stars for exceptional products. Products that meet a need, but the engineer or company behind the product have gone beyond simply making a product or solution. Having said that, there are no real innovations here, but this is a great little mouse. I needed an extra around for the times when I had a lot going on and either my other rechargeable mouse had lost its charge, or I just needed another mouse for working in my office. I'm constantly working on computers all day repairing, fixing, etc. as that is what I do for a living. This mouse is quite simple and small, but it works great. The receiver is the new universal one that works with Logitech keyboards as well. All you need to do is plug in the usb receiver and go. The roll button is smooth and the acceleration of the mouse across the screen is pleasantly smooth. I rarely have to visit the control panel to adjust the mouse. I've used this on both my MacBook Pro and a number of PC's running Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8 Pro, and Windows 10. All without incident. Its a nice weight and it works well in either your left or right hand.

purchased the Logitech M325 as a secondary/ backup mouse for my macbook pro. Although i am a huge fan of the macbook trackpad, there are times when having a standard mouse is more effective and comfortable. When using photo editing, graphic, or playing games... the mouse is more practical in my opinion. As a long time loyal Logitech brand follower, I use nothing but Logitech with my home pc including the macbook. As mentioned, i picked up the m325 for its reliability and value. the mouse last quite a while on single AA battery (which comes included). The mouse is about 25% smaller than your standard desktop mouse. It is small but yet comfortable to hold for extended amount of time. the scroll button is accurate and rolls with tactile feel. Another selling point is the tiny USB unifying receiver dongle. It is small enough to leave on the usb port, but can be stored within the mouse when not in use. The mouse overall is accurate and functions as designed. Works with Apple Macbook with no issues. Highly recommend as laptop travel or secondary mouse.

I have a keyboard using the Unifying Receiver, and I really like the tiny receiver and the great battery life of the keyboard itself. When my MMO mouse died, then my old backup died, I was in the market for a new mouse. This one was on sale for 12.99 so I picked a couple up. I didn't think I would like the small form factor, but it's actually not that bad. I also really like not having to deal with a cord! This is my first cordless mouse for a long time. I usually shy away from wireless mice and keyboards due to latency and battery life issues I dealt with on older models. These issues seem to have been resolved, however! The one complaint I have is with the scroll wheel. It's very nice and scrolls nice and slick, but there's not very much resistance. Some people may love this, but my issue is that it's hard to scroll precisely, and usually end up scrolling much further than I meant to. I've only had it a couple days, perhaps I'll get used to it. :)

it is a quit decent wireless mouse. Super responsive and in a compact form. If you are looking for a cheep wireless mouse that get the job done, this one is for you. I am not going to go into every thing good about this mouse but rather the down sides of it for those who are not sure if they want to get this one or not. Clicking - Not all the clicks are registered or are delayed by fractions of seconds. When you try to double click this can be most noticeable. Now I know I can go into my settings and chance how fast I have to double click for it to register it, but I shouldn't have to. Biggest down side to this mouse is it is poorly designed. What I mean is (at least for me) the ergonomics of the mouse is terrible. It feels somewhat awkward in the hand. Maybe that is just because I have larger hands. Something definitely to consider if you intend on using this mouse hours at a time.

Wireless mice are pretty ubiquitous nowadays, and this one is no different. It is a smaller size, which makes it more portable. It uses a standard, replaceable battery, which can be a positive or negative feature, depending on your perspective. You will need to use one of your computer's USB ports for the proprietary bluetooth adapter (then again, I have not tried to connect it through the computer's own bluetooth, so I do not know if that is even an option). Battery life appears to be very good and there is an option to turn the mouse off when not in use. Tracking is good as well. Ultimately, this was purchased for my daughter to use with her Chromebook because she wanted a mouse (as opposed to using the touchpad) and it was purple. For the price (around $13, I believe) , it really was a good purchase for her.

The mouse is a very competitive device for what it was being sold at even on Black Friday of 2013. I had the intention of getting a bluetooth device but this was just so readily available that spending the extra for what I wanted and looking for it seemed to be a bit of a hassle (considering it was in the holiday/shopping rush). The downsides are the signal gets spotty causing the cursor to jump positions from the usb to the mouse even though it is only connected on the opposite side of my macbook pro which gets annoying when editing video and also the fact that it takes up a usb port would be one disadvantage also. The upside is the design is well built for travelling and there is a spot where the usb portion fits securely under the battery lid so it is less likely to be lost for how tiny it is. 3 months now and it is still on the same factory paired battery (moderate usage).

    Great Laptop Mouse

This laptop is best served when paired with a laptop. It's small, agile, and easy to use. The mouse has enough weight to it that it doesn't feel cheap, and the DPI is enough to suffice for office work and maybe some light gaming. I would recommend upgrading to a better mouse if you plan on using it on a desktop. But for the sake of portability, this thing is great. The best part is that it comes with the logitech unifying receiver. The receiver is small and barely sticks out of the USB port, so there is little chance of breaking it off. It also pairs with other logitech devices, and that is great. I wish they had done unifying receivers years ago. I would recommend this mouse only for mobile users who are using a laptop or tablet on the go. If you need a mouse for serious work or gaming, spend a little more money and get something like a G502.

First - I like simple mice. I don't like mice with a ton of extra buttons. Give me a left and right click (sorry Mac) and a clickable scroll wheel and I'm happier than an white girl at Starbucks during pumpkin spice season. I've always liked the Logitech brand. They have really good quality, and a good selection of product models to choose from. This is no exception. The mouse works well. I've had no connection issues. My ONLY gripe with is is the sensitivity of the click on the scroll wheel. On a few occasions I have gone to wheel-click, to open up a link in a new tab, and I'll accidentally scroll instead. I realize it's really nit-picky, and I'm only running into the issue because of the difference between my last mouse and this one (it was an old Microsoft brand wireless mouse.) But, I guess it's just something to be conscious of.

My Microsoft bluetooth mouse had finally died after 6 years of use, and i needed a new mouse to replace. I'm not much of a computer gamer, so I didn't need anything fancy or high priced. I walked into the store and looked around and went for the cheapest mouse Logitech made. I had always been a fan of Logitech products. Back when I was a PC user, I had their wireless mouse and keyboard combos, their 5.1 surround sound computer speakers, and so forth... I decided that $19.99 was a nice price for a little wireless mouse. I'm currently a Mac user, and it's a 100% compatible with it. It's simply plug and play. It didn't require any drivers or updates. The mouse is small/portable, and comfortable to hold and navigate on the surface of my desk. Overall, great mouse... 9/10.

I actually didnt anticipate in needing a mouse since i had been accustomed in the past with previous laptops to only use the installed touchpads but my recent laptop gave me increasing issues and so decided that perhaps a mouse would make navigating much easier. I found this mouse at an amazing price and thought id give it a chance, and at the very least if it didn't work as i hoped, I wouldn't have felt that i wasted a lot of money in the process. Surprisingly this turned out to be a great investment. i cant say i'm a huge fan of the artwork but for its ease in setting up, the comfort, and its size, its a very small and insignificant negative. Definitely a good purchase and would recommend. The sensitivity is perfect, the range excellent, and if you can get it on sale, even a better deal.

Well, it's a wireless mouse. You plug the USB piece into your computer and the mouse works on that computer. This is a smaller, less expensive mouse. I bought it for a very specific application (certain app I have to run on my laptop connected to the Smart TV). It works just fine for that -- allows me to sit across the room from the TV/laptop and make selections on the laptop screen. I would not buy this cheaper model for an application where I was going to be using the mouse constantly; I would buy the next model up.

I originally used a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 but it just devoured AAA batteries two at a time and it had the unfortunate problem of needing a few seconds to "wake up" after sitting idle for a few minutes. This Logitech mouse (so far) has fixed both of those problems. The battery life has already far surpassed the MS-5000 with just one AA battery and has the pleasant attribute of being immediately responsive even after sitting idle overnight. The only downside is it does use up a USB port for the receiver, but given how well it performs otherwise I think it's a fair trade off. And at $12.99 (sale) it's great value for the money.

Wireless Mouse for Small Hands, Poor Apple Support

I purchased this mouse to replace a wired mouse for my mother, who has very small hands. The unit is smaller than what we used to call "travel mice" and is shorter in length than my fingers- and I have small hands. It is very responsive and light touches are all that is needed if the unit is kept clean. I am very disappointed in the Apple MacOS support by this unit. While my wireless trackball by Logitech includes an extension that lets me program buttons to my liking, this mouse has absolutely NO support other than as a basic wireless mouse. If you do purchase this for use on a mac, download USB Overdrive shareware to program the track wheel buttons. I recommend with reservations, come on Logitech- software support please?

Pros: - great price - long lasting battery - attractive design - pretty light weight - nice quality - doesn't feel cheap - includes battery - incredibly easy installation - plug in the USB, take the plastic off the battery, and you're good to go! - I have dropped this mouse from desk height at least 3 times so far, and it's had no problems - I've had this mouse for over a year now, and I've only had to change the battery twice - The compartment for the battery also has a slot for the USB - great for on the go! Cons: - have to remember to flip the switch on the bottom to turn it off if not using for a while (UPDATE: this hasn't been a problem at all, since the mouse has such great battery life)

This little Logitech mouse comes with a regular AA battery that lasts a long long time. I've left it on for months now without even thinking. It is smaller than a standard-issue and people with big hands may not like it -- except as a portable for occasional use with a laptop. It comes in many colors so you can find a color that suits you. I already had a unifying receiver so I didn't use the one that came with it. But I won't lose that one because it stores inside the battery compartment for safe keeping. I didn't give it 5-stars because it may be small for some users and occasionally I see a hesitation on screen -- but that might be the surface I'm using the mouse on.

I did extensive research before buying this and I am glad I did. It is a very good mid level mouse. It has all the function you will need and has a good build quality feel to it. I bought a cheap $20 mouse before this one and returned it so I can tell you for sure there is a difference i.e. The way it feels, scrolls, the actual scroll wheel itself feels more solid etc. I'm a huge Apple guy and tried my best to live the Apple mouse but just couldn't. The only thing I miss with this mouse is the swipe function. It's a great overall mouse that will fit most needs and feels like it's a quality product. Looks nice too. Def recommend.

OK, I knew the shortcomings when I bought it, it's not the bomb, but at $15 instead of 60-80 bucks, itis prolly good enough for almost anyone. works great, I use it on a super-glossy marble countertop with no mouse pad and it isn't ALLWAYS perfect tracking, but that's ok for $15. I'm annoyed at needing this dongle, though supertiny, for it to work. If it is BT and the CPU has BT why do I need it? it takes up a usb port, and the case I use for transport catches on it when puttingit in, cuzit's a pretty tight fit. that's it...you can customize the buttons, I really need the mousewheel to move left n right for my back & forward buttons, which is why I got this instead of a $10 mouse.
