    Cannot get it to work

I just bought a new laptop at best buy, and I wanted to buy a mouse to go with it. The store I was at allowed me to test the feel of the mice before we bought them, and I decided on the M510. The mouse looks great and it was a perfect fit for my hand. However, I could not get the mouse to connect to my laptop. The instruction manual was pretty much useless when it came to troubleshooting, as was Logitech's website ("Make sure your mouse is turned on..."). I downloaded the unifying software from the website, and ran it several times. I tried every single usb port on my computer (all of which are fully functional), but still could not get the mouse to pair. I took it back to Best Buy, and received a refund with no hassle or fuss, which I greatly appreciate. I picked up the microsoft wireless mouse 3000. When I plugged the usb dongle into my computer, Within a minute, the mouse was fully functional, with absolutely no work required. While not many people seem to be experiencing this issue, I will not be using any more of Logitech's mice.

More complicated than necessary. I purchased this mouse thinking it might be easier to navigate multiple screens but it’s very complicated because of the extra buttons that are on the side no manual comes with it no real instruction as to how to use the product it weighs probably twice what a standard miles away i I purchased this mouse thinking it might be easier to navigate multiple screens but it’s very complicated because of the extra buttons that are on the side no manual comes with it no real instruction as to how to use the product it weighs probably twice what is standard Mouse Does so I would not really recommend it for most people and less you are very technically advanced. It works fine in standard operating mode just using the left and right buttons.

This mouse is ok. You must have large hands to grip the mouse and it be an ergonomic fit. With your hand resting on the mouse it is hard to click the buttons and use the scroll wheel without picking up your hand and repositioning it on the mouse. I had a logitech nano from several years ago and was hoping this would be a close replacement - not so. This mouse features a slide on/off switch on the bottom that is recessed which makes it hard to turn off/on sometimes. If you have large bulky fingers like mine then good luck. Also, the mouse has a storage spot for the bluetooth receiver and storing the receiver in the mouse is quite an ordeal as you have to slide the cover off and it is not as easy to remove and get back on. Would I buy this mouse again? No. Would I recommend it? Maybe depending on what the user wanted to use it for.

Off Centered Optical Reader Is a Pain!

I bought this because of a discount they had going on. Honestly, i shouldn't be complaining because i bought this for close to $10. However, that's not the original price, so i'm looking at it as if i purchased it full price. This is a pretty basic mouse so there isn't much to expect. Navigation buttons work well and mouse is noisy. However, my biggest pet peeve with this mouse is the off centered optical reader. I'm not sure more people aren't complaining about this but i thought i would mention it. Now, it's not critical of a problem but still an annoyance because you sometimes gets the sense that it's not precise. Besides that, it works fine.

I am on the computer all the time, but I don't like complicated mice, this is pretty much what I was looking for. not too small, not oddly shaped. basic enough for me. I do like the 2 side buttons that enable you to move your page forward or backward. It was definitely overpriced (I learned this at checkout, but no big deal. I like it. The only noteable flaw is that I have had to replace the batteries twice in 3 weeks. I have plenty of mice, small, large, "fancy" and cheap, and I have never had to replace the batteries as often. Because I am on the computer 24/7 I have never turned my mouse off on the bottom, but I guess with this one I may have to.

I really wanted to like this mouse. It had all the features I wanted but it's just too nrrow for my hand. I bought it to replace an 8 year old corded mouse that stopped working and I desperately wanted to match the feel of that mouse (also a Logitech). Unfortunately, this mouse started cramping my hand within minutes. I had read a review from someone else that said the same thing but it was the only one I saw that complained of that so I didn't worry about before purchasing. My hands are pretty average in size so I recommend you see if the narrowness bothers you before purchasing.

Pretty basic wireless mouse. Nothing fancy, good size for medium to large hands. Only complaint about this is the forward/back buttons on the upperside of the mouse that requires your thumb to press. These buttons are too stiff and the travel input to press them is deep. They require a lot of force and you'll be moving your mouse to the side when doing so. Maybe I have a lemon maybe not, but at this price, do not expect much but your basic functionality otherwise, look else where if you need macros or more buttons.

I'm right-handed and this mouse is clearly designed ambidextrously so that anyone can use it, regardless of which hand is dominant. The problem I found with this is that there really aren't any ergonomic contours that benefit me compared to other mice I've tried. However, if you can get used to this, the laser optics in it are accurate and work precisely enough for everyday use. Logitech makes great input devices for PCs, and this certainly fits in line with this reputation other than the comfort.

I am usually pleased with Logitech products. However, this M510 mouse is bit disappointing. It was on sale or I would have returned it. I actually would not have paid more than $25.00 for any mouse. The claim to fame is precision and that it will work on almost any surface including glass. It does not work as well as I anticipated on any surface. When I click sometimes, it does not connect. I have to click again. I downloaded the software to see if it worked any better. It did not. It is an average mouse at a premium price.

The description stated the mouse had zoom capability. True but misleading. It simply uses the scroll like any other mouse when a web page supports that feature. The forward and back buttons are located too far back - they don't fit my hand. I have to make a conscious effort to use them. This unit was purchased to replace another Logitech unit that failed. The unifying transceiver works seamlessly, allowing me to continue using my keyboard without tying up another USB port.

Found this mouse a little too large for me and I have large hands. Didn't like the clicking noise Also had to move it around a large area on the mouse pad to get the pointer where I wanted it. Downloaded the software for it and still was not impressed. Haven't found a Logitech mouse that can compare to the HP-X3000, which requires a lot less movement of my hand. I still would recommend this product as a average mouse if bought on the sale price of $15.00.

    Basic Wireless Mouse

Nothing special, picked it up on a decent sale. Left button can sometimes be a little sensitive. I have this same mouse that I purchased over a year earlier and the left click sensitive got worse to the point that it would select things as you move the mouse around. I chose to purchase again with the thought that this is a decent wireless mouse for a cheap price.

If your using it just to surf the net then your ok but if your using it to do work or projects then you may want to look elsewhere. I frequently kept having to remove the usb then reinserting it just to get the mouse going again. It gets frustrating when your working on something critical.

Got this on sale for $25. It's great at that price. I say that cause I wouldn't spend $50 on it. The mouse's girth is shallow for my big hands. I'll replace it down the road for a heftier model. Not sure If It's my computer or not but the mouse's accuracy feels sluggish, even after playing with the speed settings every which way to Sunday. My muscle memory has adapted a little to it but it still misses it's mark 25% of the time.

For the price, I couldn't pass up the deal. I also like the additional buttons. However, compared to another Microsoft and Logitech wireless mice I own, this one has more mass and weight to it, which is fine as I'm using it for my desktop. However, the other lighter ones also are more smooth and comfortable to the touch, and I can toss them into my laptop back on-the-go with much ease.

I was replacing a bluetooth mouse that had failed after 6 years. Ergonomically, and maybe this is minor to some......the natural placement of my fingers is apparently not in the optimal area that the mouse expects. More force is required when my fingers are in the natural place. I am able to overcome by extending my fingers a bit further toward the leading edge so it is not a huge deal but worth mentioning.

Ok for the price. Ok for simple computing task at home. Wireless which is great. Second one of these, first lasted a year or less but oddly lightning strike took it out. It was better than this one. The scroll wheel feels cheap. In games it's really bad as the left right buttons are not very precise. Wireless and good for every day web and email and guess that's what it's meant to be.

I didn't want to spend the extra money for a full gaming mouse and instead comprised on a more budget friendly one. It is too large to be a good laptop mouse and too small to be a good desktop mouse. Positive mouse clicks and reliable battery life save this from getting a two. If it fits your hand, it might be a good choice. Otherwise spend the extra and get a nicer mouse.

Great mouse in regards to comfort and grip. Only complaint is I'm unable to change the button configuration. Bought this for the extra buttons and not being able to customize is a HUGE disappointment. Always get these issues with Logitech.Logitech software is so unreliable!
