Laser Too Far To The Side

    Posted
    Norm

When I first held the M705 it felt great . Perfect size and weight, left and right buttons clicked easily, not noisy. BUT, the scroll wheel was too free rolling for me. It also would jump the opposite way a few lines after scrolling. There is a button below the scroll that will change to scroll speed, but it went too far the other way. Too clicky and harder to scroll. I liked the back and forward buttons above the thumb. What really irked me, well, I operate my desktop from my Lazy Boy chair which has rounded armrests. The mouse wouldn't track well unless I tilted it to keep the laser tracking. After a while it got really annoying. The laser is way too far to the side!! I'm going shelve it and use it only an emergency back up. Make sure you look at the bottom of the mouse before buying.

    Screwy scrolling wheel

Worked OK except for the fact that when using the scrolling wheel, the page would move several inches on the screen after the scrolling wheel motion was stopped. This occurred after a couple of seconds after the wheel was stopped and after the page had initially stopped. It seemed indiscriminate, sometimes jumping up, sometimes jumping down, no matter which way I had been scrolling. I have had several other Logitech and Microsoft mice and none of them has exhibited this behavior. I will be returning it.

Within a few months of making my purchase, the mouse started acting up. At times, it stopped scrolling while I was on a webpage, it didn't matter what page I was on. The mouse still scrolled on any other app, just not on a webpage. Sometimes I could go 2-3 weeks between instances and sometimes it happened 4 days a day. The only way to get my scrolling back was to restart my computer.

Cheap version of a once great mouse

This is the 3rd M705 mouse I've purchased and it will be the last. This is a low quality version of the original M705 mouse. The weight is significantly less than the previous version, the finish is worse and the buttons are terrible. Even the on/off button is really bad. How do you screw that up? The price cut from $79.99 down to $25 should have been a clue so shame on me. For the $25 price tag I suppose I got what I paid for.

The mouse itself is not bad for that price. However it is really hard, if not impossible, to find one with a flawless scroll wheel. Most copies I've bought have some sort of "roll-back" problem when the wheel is set to the free spin mode. It is EXTREMELY annoying to have a webpage randomly rolls up a few lines when you actually want to go down. Make sure you test it before leaving the store so you can get an exchange if you are not lucky enough.

This mouse was to replace a mouse that came with the Logitech keyboard which is also wireless. The original problem is that whatever I was reading, kept scrolling on me without prompting. So I replaced it with another wireless Logitech mouse. It only cut out the scrolling about 50%. I'm ready to give up wireless mouse and return to a hardwired one but they are becoming almost impossible to find.

Positive: great looking and fits well in my hand. Negative: it moves around, even when the mouse is not moving. I hated the scroll ring on top, way to sensitive and keeps moving the page even after I was done scrolling. I would have returned this mouse, but I disposed of the packaging so it's too late! I went back to my good-old reliable corded mouse.

This mouse worked pretty well for a while. It didn't run through batteries too quickly, was responsive and did what it was supposed to, however after a few months the scroll wheel click started to fail. I frequently do CAD work and this became extremely frustrating. I'm not sure if I just got a bad one, but it would have been nice if it lasted longer.

Long press, lousy on clicks, not sturdy

i am fooled by these highly rated reviews. Glad i got this while on sale or else i would have regretted for overpaying for this poorly built product. Buttons are so loose, even for gentle moves buttons can shack. i have to give deep press to click the buttons. adding fuel to the flame it makes lousy sound on clicks.

I used to have Microsoft wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 which is old model and was looking for replacement. Picked this mouse because it looked ergonomical. I'm average person but this mouse is too small for my hand. It is probably good fit for a lady or a child but not for me.

I bought this mouse after reading good reviews but the product is not that good. Scroll seams cheap quality and free scroll feature is unstable, it doesn't work properly. Even it was brand new unopened box, plastics on bottom of the mouse looks like it has been used or refurbished. I will return it.

Could not configure properly by self. When I called the tech support number provided it connected me to a web site that tried to sell me a contract for cleaning/maintainingy my computer. This was NOT acceptable to me. Still have not been able to enable all features of the product

The mouse has the tradition middle click with a scroll toggle below it. I have large hands, not huge, and could not middle click without setting the mouse down and moving my hand to a hovering position. I could have programmed the convenient app button to do it but why go through the hassle.

This mouse was great for about 5 months until the scroll wheel stopped working. I still like the mouse and would love to get a replacement but I'm giving 2 stars for the disappointment.

I had some difficulties getting the mouse set up. Probably software issues with the PC I was using. Mouse doesn't work on any surface. I would use a mouse pad.

While I actually like Logitech mice and use them frequently - they also break down just as fast, in this case I never got the piece that connects to the USB port so I have not been able to use it.

I bought this mouse looking for something for work. However, the scroll wheel is so loose that it makes it extremely difficult to navigate.

This mouse really isn't worth much if the "transmitter" is more than 12 inches away from the mouse and in a direct line of sight. Whether it is my set up or a general problem. I would not recommend.

The scroll wheel on this mouse is way too sloppy. Pages constantly drift because of this. It's difficult to have quck form filling because you can barely get the pointer to stay in one spot.
