The keyboard is just as good as if it was wired except that it's better because it's not. I never lose connection, it never lags. I'm really happy with this purchase. I changed the batteries once or twice (I can't remember ) on the keyboard and I use it everyday, all day. I use a different mouse for work, a vertical one and I change the batteries on it twice per month. So I would say that the efficiency is really excellent. I use the second mouse as a back up, so I can't really give an informed review on it, but the keyboard is just wonderful. If it died tomorrow, I'd buy the same one again.
