Don’t throw the box away till you’ve found the dongle. It was very hard to find because it’s placed in one of the flaps of the box not INSIDE the box.

Simple installation - just plug on the micro receiver to a USB port, remove the paper strips to enable the already-installed batteries in the keyboard and mouse, Windows then self installs the drivers and away you go. Very nice tactile feel and response for both the mouse and keyboard. The only warning: the micro receiver is easy to overlook. It is held in a slot on the end flap of the retail box. If you don't install it the keyboard/mouse obviously won't work and if you don't notice right away, you may throw it away with the box after unpacking.

I took a star away because I didn't need the mouse. They should sell just the keyboard, since I had already bought the mouse.

The first time, both the keyboard and mouse worked well for about 8 months. Then, the keyboard just stopped working. I tried everything, including changing the batteries, reconnecting the USB dongle, etc. It simply would not turn on. (The mouse continued to work fine.) Thinking I must have just received a lemon, I purchased another of the same set the next year. SAME THING HAPPENED - the keyboard simply stopped working one day. It was not the batteries or anything else (as before, the mouse was still working fine). I'm generally a fan of Logitech products, but this keyboard is not worth two cents.
