Squeaky mouse, extremely annoying

I can say the keyboard is decent, however the mouse is SUPER NOISY. With every click, it produces an echoey sound almost like a loose spring scraping the hard plastic casing. I even contacted customer service about it but they say it is what it is. I am now Googling for home remedy to muffle a squeaky mouse....

I turn off both items when not in use. Very annoyed and looking to replace them. Not impressed.
