I bought as a gift for my daughter who works in an intensely computer-based medical practice. She loved this device better than the first wired vertical mouse she tried. This device is positioned comfortably and the trackball does not require any movement of the device at all; it sits in the most comfortable spot on her desk for whenever she needs it. An added benefit: no wire means it can't be moved accidently... and if this one does, your on-screen cursor remains stationary: the cursor placement is not controlled by the movement of the mouse itself, ONLY the trackball. She loves it... locks it in her desk at night... and has conviinced me that I might like one myself... (wink) Excellent device - Logitech comes through again.

I have big hands, so oftentimes I need bigger than usual accessories. And because I work in an office, I usually struggle with finding huge handheld accessories. I also got to a point where I needed to consider my ergonomic setup because I'm starting to feel pain in places a guy in his thirties really shouldn't be feeling pain in. It took me a little bit of getting used to when using this trackball mouse, but once I got the hang of it, switching back to a regular mouse is suddenly too jarring. It fits my hand well, the provided height adjusters are very sturdy, and the magnet holding the metal plate at the bottom is really strong, so you don't have to worry about it giving while you use the mouse. I haven't had any pain from my right arm ever since I got this.

Awesome mouse. Bought the carry case for when I am not at the home office (Definitely a worth while purchase). Works great, battery life is really good. I often go several weeks without plugging it in. Easy to clean the ball. Best trackball I've owned.

Was having wrist pain and using this and keeping the wrist less-pronated and straight helped a ton. Trackball can be sensitive enough to move around without a ton thumb movement also. I would give this 5 stars, but the left-click button failed after 2.5 years. I'm still buying another because of the elevation plate.

The Best Trackball On The Market

First off, Logitech has the market cornered on input devices. Next, I love trackballs for graphics work. They put a lot of thought into the design of this mouse and stuffed a lot of functionality into it. I ususally don't like internal batteries but this one lasts forever. I use it a lot and it still doesn't drain. I will forget to charge it and it always seems ready to go.

I am extremely picky and have been banned from a few stores in the past for excessive returns (Insert laugh here). This Logitech MX Ergo trackball is absolutely perfect. My setup is unique. I have it connected using Bluetooth to my home PC and connected using the USB dongle to my laptop. The one-button device switch (toggle from one device to the other) is awesome. The rubberized bottom and the weight of the unit is perfect for sitting on the armrest of my recliner I use it in because it will not slip off easily. I replaced my old faithful Logitech Cordless Trackman Wheel M570 with it. Excellent upgrade. Two bonuses – 1) left/right scroll on the wheel and 2) Precision Mode Button slows down the cursor so you can attend to detailed work with ease. The surface where you rest your hand is rubberized for a very comfortable and secure feel.

Honestly I don't know why I didn't look at a trackball as a replacement for a mouse sooner. I have 2 24' monitors plus my laptop screen that I move across, and adapting to the trackball has been easy. With the 30 degree wedge it feels very comfortable and seems to cause less strain on my wrist than what I experienced with a standard mouse. The trackball is very responsive and the button for fine tuned movements is handy, but I do tend to accidently hit it once in a while. The only downside I bave is where the buttons are located for navigating forward and backward. It just feel natural to me to click them, but my guess is over time I'll become more comfortable them and no longer notice. The rechargeable battery is very nice and while I don't have 2 devices paired right now, I could see the benefit of being able to toggle between them with the push of a button.

I have been a trackball person for over 2 decades now. I have used just about every type at one time or another throughout my career as an Electrical Engineer. I have been converted to the Logitech since their first usb cable thumb trackball many years ago. When their M570 came out, I purchased 5 the first day so I could place one everywhere I might need it. Just to note, I also have a media center PC at home, a stationary mouse is kind of a must. Anyway I just purchased two of these MX Ergos a couple of weeks ago after a coworker just happened to show up with one, he wanted to try the trackball after watching me for several years. My first impression was, wow, they really made this the most comfortable control input device there has ever been for a computer. Two weeks later, I still believe this to be true, no contest. The material that Logitech chose makes your hand happy, and the ability to change angles with the magnetic platform is just brilliant. Again, it is comfort at its best, especially if you sit in front of a computer over 10 hours a day. Now for what had me drop a star. Due to Logitech's new "Options" software that you must download and use for their new gear, this trackball included, the accuracy and blunt detailed control that the M570 possesses has been diminished slightly and there are only minor adjustments in the software to attempt to correct this. In the Logitech "Options" software you can max the settings and you still cannot gain the acceleration and extra movement necessary to jump all the way across my screen(s). I may be an outlier though, so take this with a grain of salt. I use a 40in. 4k monitor for work with the laptop monitor on the side. The main monitor is divided, through software into 8 separate screens. For me, accuracy is a key part of what I do and it keeps me fluid. With the M570 I can pretty much stop on a pixel, no joke. With the new MX even with all of the adjustments through the Logitech Options software, that is nearly impossible. There is one thing you can do to make it pretty close and that is adjust your windows mouse settings after you make adjustments to the logitech software. That has gotten me through most of my concerns but it still is not quite as fluid or as accurate as the M570, but with the comfort I am still using it over the prior. If Logitech can fix the software then it would be a 10 out of 5, seriously. I would probably just go purchase 10. The buttons are perfectly placed, they are all assignable by program and this trackball has a pretty special feature that allows you to connect to to separate devices and it can copy and paste information from one to the next. On a side note, when I first got it I did swap the trackball from the M570 to see if it would help improve the accuracy, I felt like it might have, but it may have been my mind playing tricks on me. The M570 blue ball is not quite as sparkly as the grey disco like ball in the MX. Well hopefully my rambling helps you make a choice.

Its simply a fantastic mouse. I have been using the Logitech trackball mouse for many years now as I have limited space and do not like having to move the mouse all over the place to do what I need to do, so this works great as you leave it in one spot and roll the ball. It took getting used to, but now I will never go back to the move around mouse. I just bought the Ergo Plus wireless trackball about a month and a half ago and love how it can be tilted to match the natural position of my hand when on the desk. This mouse is rechargeable, ergonomic and can be linked to more than one computer if need be. I love them and like I stated earlier, have used them for many years now. Try it, I bet you'll be saying the same thing after you have used it for a bit.

Compared to other track ball mice this is a bit in the pricier side. If you are looking for versatility and a dependable product this is it. You can adjust it’s angle to your comfort, link with two different devices and it’s wireless with a rechargable battery. Buying a second one for my home setup.

Trackball has always been my preference over standard or ergonomic mouse. This one is heavy enough that it does not slide and has an extra stand to create more tilt should I choose to (I am comfortable with the angle without it). Unifying USB receiver works with this trackball and my Logitech keyboard to consolidate connections on docking station. I do not use Bluetooth connection so I cannot comment on it. Buttons can be customized and the "fine movement" button makes taking screenshot much accurate. Battery life is excellent. I love it so much that I bought another one for work.

One of the best accessories used with my nVidia Shield TV Pro, can be used while in bed, couch etc. I really appreciate the ability to either connect by bluetooth or with the provided wireless dongle. I haven't been much of a trackball user in quite some time until this purchase (Last one I used was over 10 years ago...). This is similar to that one with the benefit of adjusting the angle of your wrist to 3 different positions. Pluses with this mouse is Bluetooth pairing to multiple computers, rechargeable batteries, and multi-button configuration. Minuses is it's very large which makes it difficult to use as a travel mouse (especially if you like to have a full size mouse for travel...), the trackball to me is angled a little too far back which makes it hard on your thumb joint when doing a lot of scrolling, finally the back / forward buttons are not in an ideal spot for usage either by thumb or index finger. I mainly purchased this for my home office computer which has a dedicated keyboard / mouse tray as part of my desk. Since my desk is rather small I tend to keep the work surface free for paperwork and such. My previous mouse needed to be used on the work surface since there wasn't enough space for movement on the keyboard tray whereas now I can have this next to the keyboard without issue.....

I used the M570 got years and had only one complaint: I couldn’t use it with multiple devices (laptop and iPad). This mouse solves that problem. In addition, this one is more comfortable. The “Pro” version offers the ability to tilt the mouse an additional 10 degrees (30 degrees total), which is where I find it most comfortable. I didn’t think, or expect it to make that big a difference, but it does. If you type for long periods, the price warrants this as a choice. I find trackballs easy to use and really hate using a traditional mouse. They require less space to use, and are precise. However, most people who sit at my desk hate it, but I think they’re just being dramatic. If you’re also “dramatic”, you may not like this device (lol).

I had an older model that didn't have the ergonomic swivel adjustment, it took some time to get adjusted to the "swivel" on the mouse, but after finding the perfect angle feels really good. Love the speed of the cursor. Another plus is that I don't have to worry about batteries, just have to plug it in to recharge. Works out great for my needs.

The best mouse I have ever had. I work IT from home so ergonomically it helps avoid stiffness and pain. I like the thumb ball and the button just above the ball back a little that slows the mouse down if you need to fine tune or click a small area. The best part is the button behind the wheel that lets me switch from my work computer to my home computer in an instant. Buttons are also programmable.
