I was in the market for a wireless keyboard that could be used for my second computer. I needed one that was compact in size to fit my small work area. I really enjoy this keyboard and the illumination is a nice touch! I especially like how you can sync with multiple devices and switch by ease of a button. The batter life is great however do wish there was faster charge rate. One negative is there is not a place for the dongle on the keyboard itself so be sure to place it somewhere safe. Otherwise it is Bluetooth so you can go through that route as an alternative.

I bought the MX Keys Advanced keyboard to replace my K400, which they don't make anymore. The typing action is excellent and quiet, and backlighting is very good.
However, in terms of layout, I think Logitech tried to do too much 'combining' of functionality into a smaller footprint. The 3 Bluetooth selection keys take up real estate that, to be honest, should have been used for something else, e.g., volume and/or multimedia keys which are now combined with the F keys making it cumbersome to use them at times since the Fn key has to be pressed first.
Also, I much preferred the larger size of the K400 so I could rest my palms on the keyboard. With the MX Keys keyboard, you have to buy an optional palm rest if you want that, however it's a separate piece and not connected to the keyboard.
The keyboard works fine, so no problems connecting via Bluetooth with my computer, and I like the feel of the keys and the fact that the keyboard is quiet.
All in all, not a bad keyboard save being a bit too expensive. I just wish the keys weren't so compacted and the keyboard was a little larger.

Fantastic for multiple computer setup

I've always been a mechanical keyboard person, until I bought this.
I have three computers at my desk. Work laptop, personal laptop, gaming computer. Rather than having to deal with multiple keyboards, or unplugging and plugging I decided to try this out. I'm very glad I did.
It works perfectly with the Logitech MX Master series mice, with the Logitech Options software. You can setup up to 3 devices and move your mouse from device to device, and the keyboard just follows to whatever device the mouse is connected to. This function isn't flawless, but it works most of the time, even moving from Mac to Windows machines.
Alternatively, you can use the 3 profile buttons on the keyboard to switch devices almost instantly. It takes a couple seconds for it to register it's connected to the new device. If you don't have an MX series mouse, this is how you'll switch devices, if you have multiple devices to connect to.
The battery life is very good. I'm on my computer 9-12 hours a day Monday through Friday, and probably about 10 hours total over the weekend, and I only have to recharge the keyboard once every 2-3 weeks. And recharging is simple, since it's a USB type C port. It charges very quickly. I'm not sure exactly how long, because I typically just plug it into my laptop, and keep working and then at the end of the day I unplug it. I would guess probably 2-3 hours max to charge from almost dead to full, but you can use it while it charges.
The option for bluetooth or Unified receiver is great. I use the receiver on my gaming computer, and bluetooth on my laptops. I haven't noticed any drops in connectivity or lag with either option.
The key action feels very nice, if you like the "chiclet" style keyboards. It's similar to a laptop keyboard feel, but with a bit more travel, and obviously its a fullsized keyboard. The layout is very nice. It took a little adjustment to get used to it at first, but everything is where it makes sense for it to be.
Overall, great keyboard, especially if you're already invested in Logitech's ecosystem with an MX Master mouse.

This keyboard is crazy expensive compared to others. I would have never paid this much until I used it on a friend's computer. It is compact but heavy with excellent feet. It never moves while using. The keys have small indentions that feel great. The click is silent but you can feel it. I love that it is rechargeable and no batteries needed. It can be used while charging. It is expensive but if you use it 8 hours (or more) per day, when you figure the per hour or per day price it is negligible. Spend the money, you will be happy.

Awesome Keyboard, Great Laptop Travel Companion

I have used Logitech keyboards and mice for as long as I can remember and I have never had anything from Logitech disappoint and the MX Keys keyboard definitely continues this trend. I already use another Logitech keyboard for my desktop computer and chose the MX Keys keyboard as travel companion for my laptop. The keyboard is a little smaller than my desktop keyboard although it feels like a full size keyboard which is something almost no laptop can claim to provide. One of the awesome features of the Logitech keyboards and mice is the USB adapter. Before you think I'm crazy for calling this out, let me explain. The USB adapter is firstly so compact that I leave it in the laptop all the time and it is able to be placed into a laptop bag without worrying about damaging the USB adapter or the laptop. If you also use a Logitech mouse such as the MX Master 3, the USB adapter can be configured to support that also. As such, you don't need to have more than one Logitech adapter installed on a PC for each peripheral in use. Back to the keyboard itself. The first thing you notice with this keyboard and other premium keyboards from Logitech is the weight and I mean that as a good thing. It has been engineered to provide years of reliable use and feels nice and solid. Some keyboards on the market don't feel like they will last a week, let alone years of regular use. I'm definitely a Logitech user through and through when it comes to keyboards and mice and I'm sure you will be also if you chose the MX Keys keyboard.

A Designer's Keyboard

From a designer standpoint and Logitech fangirl – this keyboard is a dream. Though I primary work on a laptop, I’ve always hated the feel of the keyboard – way too low and after a while, my wrists start to hurt. Plus… all those mistypes. I was looking to invest in a external keyboard as I wanted to place my laptop on a stand so that I could also see the screen better without hurting my neck so when the Logitech MX Keys came out, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.
After testing the MX Keys for a few weeks and going on one single charge here are some things that I noted:
MX KEYS HARDWARE
Positives:
+ matte finish with a premium feel
+in love with the illuminating keys, especially it's touch sensitivity/smart illumination - I often use it at night and have been thoroughly amused each time I hover over them.
+ the touch and feel of each key is really remarkable and reminds me of the older keyboard feels with the satisfying feedback that current laptop keyboards do not give.
+I really like the weight of the keyboard, makes it feel more secure and I wouldn't have to worry about it sliding around.
+ USB C charge – one charger for everything!
+ Connect via Bluetooth or unifying receiver (can pair with other Logitech devices seamlessly)
+Rechargeable battery, no need for those pesky batteries
+love having a FULL size keyboard with number pad
+seamless ability to switch paired platform (i.e. mac to windows computer etc up to 3 devices) via easy-switch keys
+ability to customize keys
Negatives:
- the only issue I had was the placement of the "FN" key as it is placed on the right as oppose to the left which is where I believe most keyboards iOS and Windows are placed. It's not a big deal but is a little uncomfortable when I want to Duolink FN + Gestures features. Naturally I want to place my left hand on the most left of the keyboard but in order to use the duolink feature I am forced to place my left hand where it normally does not rest on.
-Thought the unifying receiver is nice and definitely provides a stronger uninterrupted connection compared to Bluetooth I was a little disappointed that it was still a USB Type A (traditional USB) port.
-would have liked to be able to adjust the back height of the keyboard to be a little higher like in the previous keyboard or just have the angle be a little more but not that big of a problem nor is it a deal breaker
SOFTWARE
Looking at the software from a consumer and a UX/UI designer perspective, it is really well thought out. Simple, easy to use and navigate UI. It’s pretty self explanatory and has mini tutorials embedded into the software.
Though I would love to see the Logitech software be available for the iPad Pros especially with the new iPad OS and future ability to use the iPad Pro as a second screen. Possibly something that would come in the near future?
Perhaps ability to see the battery percentage
Honestly, no real cons, though I also wished that it came with the palm rest instead of having to purchase it separately but overall a really solid product that I can see myself using for a while. Which I have no doubt will serve me for many years to come. Highly recommended!

Really smooth keys and gives a really good experience. I really like the feature where the backlight turns on as soon as your hand comes close to the keyboard and after a long inactivity the backlight turns off. Can very easily switch between devices, it's a very quick switch. I'm also amazed by battery of this keyboard: I use it for about 40 + hours per week and have only charged it once in 1.5 months(and still going on)

I'm used to the Apple Keyboard, and needed a Windows Keyboard. I bought a mechanical keyboard and realized I didn't like mechanical switches and prefer scissor switches. The Logitech MX Keys Keyboard fit my needs perfectly! I bought this keyboard pretty much on how it felt in my hands in store at BestBuy without any prior research.
I needed the following features in a keyboard and the Logitech MX Keys fulfilled all of them.
-Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
-Slim Profile
-Silent Keys
-Solid Build
I was surprised by these additional features after buying.
-Windows OS and Mac OS command keys are labeled <3
-Multiple computer profiles/switching <3
-Back lit LED keyboard <3 (I didn't read the box lmao)
-USB C connection
I added a photo of my Apple Keyboard as a size comparison.
I added a photo of my coffee mug also as a size comparison.
Story:
I recently bought a new gaming laptop from BestBuy, I had also bought a wired mechanical keyboard elsewhere. I noticed how much I hated it. The typing was uncomfortable, it was mechanical, and was too noisy for gaming. I knew I would never accept that keyboard. I looked at my Apple keyboard and realized I needed something in the same form factor for windows.
In a fit of rage and acceptance of spending my hard earned money. I went to BestBuy looking for keyboard. I was walking around like a mad man in the laptop area as I couldn't find the keyboard isle. An associate came up to me asking me if I needed any help. I responded with "Yeah, do you guys have keyboards that aren't $100?" Well, I went to the keyboard isle looked at the quality and feel of the keyboards on display. I starting to "mock" type and use the keyboards on display. After much deliberation I realized I was going to spend $100 on this keyboard. I literally ate my words from earlier. After testing all the keyboards I realized this keyboard was the only one that would meet my needs and bring me happiness.
Caution:
If you love mechanical keyboards this product might not be for you. I highly recommend going to BestBuy and being hands on with all the keyboard displays and finding the right fit for you. The only wrong choice in keyboards is one you find uncomfortable and awkward to use.

Best keyboard for dual PC/Mac users.

I bought this keyboard to switch between three PC and Mac computers. So far, it is great. It has a great key bounce, and is a good balance between non-mechanical and mechanical. As a dual platform user, it's also very nice to have a keyboard that is marked for both PC and Mac. The weight is also substantial, so it really hugs the desk unlike my previous keyboard that would slide around, and the key backlighting is a bonus. My only gripe is that it is a bit overpriced.
One note to beware of. This is not an issue with this keyboard per se, but a lot of buyers may be thinking of using this with the new MX Master 3S mouse. Previously, Logitech marketed the older 3 mouse together with this keyboard as a "Unifying" set, meaning you could use it with the same receiver and expand across 3 computers. The 3S changed to a Bolt receiver, so you can no longer do this. This fact is hidden in the fine print.

Experience the Power of the Logitech MX Keys: A Pr

I recently purchased the Logitech MX Keys and have been pleasantly surprised with its performance. One of the standout features of this keyboard is the build quality - it feels solid and heavy in the hands, which gives it a premium feel. Despite its weight, the keyboard is slim and takes up minimal space on my desk.
In terms of typing, the scissor keys have a nice feel to them and are comfortable to use for long periods of time. However, the key layout is slightly different than my previous keyboard, which took some getting used to. The backlit keys are a nice touch, although they don't always seem to light up when they should.
The only real downside to the Logitech MX Keys is the cost - it's definitely on the pricier side. However, if you're willing to spend a bit extra for a high-quality keyboard, I would definitely recommend it. Despite a few small issues, the Logitech MX Keys is a solid choice for anyone looking for a comfortable, reliable keyboard.

This is a very minimal footprint keyboard packing a lot of features. Keyboard is heavy, grips to the desk quite well but might be too much for traveling around.
The keys have a great tactile feel. Key travel is between the Apple Magic Keyboard and the Microsoft Surface/Modern Keyboard, much more comparable to a laptop keyboard than those. Circular indents on the keys do make a difference in comfort, they feel less straining on your finger tips.
This is one of the only high end chiclet style scissor-switch keyboards around this price range and quality that has backlit keys. Brightness is adjustable and the keys automatically light up when your hands pass over them.
Connectivity is spotty with the included receiver. I've experienced significant lag when using it on both USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, but virtually none using Bluetooth. Be aware you can't use the keyboard in BIOS when using Bluetooth.
Battery life is great even with backlit keys enabled. USB 3 Type C is a plus. Keyboard can work fine without software.
Compared to other chiclet style scissor-switch keyboards, the 99$ tag is a good deal for a high quality, multi-device, backlit keyboard. Although keyboards similar to this should be priced lower all together.
I recommend this for fans of minimal, laptop style keyboards, but your mileage might vary with the connectivity. I've had no other functional issues yet.

Absolutely love this keyboard, bought the mouse to match. It is perfect for those of you running multiple computers. cheaper then the apple keyboard and feels like the same quality. Functions with Mac OS and Windows, one keyboard for both systems on my desk makes for a far less cluttered workspace. bluetooth connection is stable keys are clicky and comfortable just like the apple keyboards and with back light turned on looks good in dim lighted rooms. Battery seems to last forever can get about 1 month use from one charge. Charging is from the included usb c wire and takes about an hour to fully charge, can be used while charging. Gaming is possible with this keyboard as I do all the time but is not ideal or really recommended.

A great key board; quiet and very easy to type without much force at all and its large with all the keys. Lights up so that its easy to see when it is dark that I use all the time. The USB charge lasts a very long time. Regular usage and I get a month without a charge. The charge time is quick enough. Software is great if you download. Helps with a few things. My favorite keyboard so far! The cost is a bit much though... but I would buy again.

So I have had Logitech keys boards for the past 10+ years of different shapes and varieties. Some I liked, others I thought were down right unpleasant to use. Price was usually a factor, cheaper keyboard not having good key feel. On the MX Keys, the one thing that has been fixed and believe to be a huge usual-ability deal has to do with that proximity sensor. Every review mentions that the proximity sensor is used for the backlight, which is correct but it also works to reconnect the keyboard. Why is this important? Every Bluetooth keyboard goes to sleep rather quickly to preserve battery life. When you come back to your computer, you may start typing when the connection has not yet been made. Sometimes text will translate over to the computer but there plenty of times I have found the first letter or two go missing before the keyboard reconnects. The proximity sensor starts the reconnection process before I start typing. This is something I never really cared for before until now. The previous keyboard I had K780 is a great keyboard. I still would recommend it if your willing to deal with that one short coming and don’t care for a backlight.
MX Keys is great. Typing experience is great. I like the larger keys on this keyboard vs K780. Customizable buttons are super nice. You can basically program F-keys and few other buttons to open program or complete a command. Back light is on par with the K810 keyboard and the MX keys has a music skip forward button the K810 did not have. Just all around a pleasure to use. You can debate the price but for something that you will interact with every day, I would recommend that you get what you really like even if its one of those mechanical keys boards for twice the price. At the very least if your in the market for a new keyboard give this one a try. Typing experience is not for everyone but I will certainly be keep this one.

Logitech with MX Keys Advanced Wireless Illuminated Keyboard is the best one I have ever owned, and I have owned several types throughout the years. I have a Mac & Windows computers which I use every day. Some of my programs won’t run on Mac so I have them on Windows PC. I love the idea that I can use one keyboard, so I don’t have two keyboards on my desk in my home office. You do have to be careful when you purchase this keyboard because there are two types. One is for Mac & Windows while the other one is just for a Mac computer. I purchased the one that will work with Mac/Windows since as I said I use both computers.
The set up was easy by Bluetooth but I like the fact that I can charge the keyboard and not use batteries, it just makes things easier. Another plus was how quite the keys are I am not a person who likes the Click Clack of keys that a lot of people are. I also like to have a cover on my keyboard to keep out dust and heaven forbid spills. I purchased one from Amazon https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B098JGRQYD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details. When you spend this much for a keyboard it needs to be protected. This silicone cover fits perfect and is made just for this keyboard. It is so easy to clean.
I like how the keys have a backlit it just makes things look better to me and the cover above does not prevent the backlit from shining through. Some keyboards you can not tell if the cap lock is on but with this keyboard it has a light on the cap lock button plus it will show up on the screen with a mac.
It is so easy to switch between 2 or 3 computers with a touch of a button. I really like that a light shows up on the computer number that you are using at that time. The keyboard itself is so light weight but a first glance you can tell it is well made and worth the price even if you only have one computer. It does have a USB-C charge and up to 10 days on a single charge or up to 5 months with the backlighting off . I like that is also a full-size keyboard with a number pad.
For windows users the is no print screen button but the button used for this is on the top with an icon of a camera. There are a few other differences from a totally windows keyboard but still worth every penny to learn the commands. If you are looking for a Mac/Windows keyboard, is one is for you.
You can confidently type on a keyboard built for long hours at the desk. The entire body of the keyboard is held together by a single metal plate resulting in a solid build. You can use it in connection with the MX Keys follows your MX Master 3 mouse which is a Flow-enabled mouse and move files from one computer to another. Type and transfer files across multiple computers, even a Windows PC and Mac, in one fluid workflow.
I also own the MX Master 3 mouse and like this keyboard you can pair it up to 3 computers with the touch of a button on the bottom switch between computers. With both of these devices it will free up your desktop to only one keyboard and mouse. Both are worth every penny.
