Customers are satisfied with the comfortable keys, adjustable backlighting, and excellent battery life of the MX Keys keyboard. Many appreciate the ease of use and compatibility across multiple devices. While some find the keyboard heavier than expected, and occasional connectivity issues have been reported, the positive feedback on key feel and overall quality outweighs these concerns. The price point is noted by some as a potential drawback.

Three months ago, I bought a Logitech K380 to use with my MacBook Pro in a desktop setup, and I was happy with it. But my wife found that little keyboard too cute and took that for herself! So I was looking for another one and thought of going for a full keyboard. I had almost decided on the Apple Magic Keyboard when I came across the MX for Mac. And I'm glad I did. It's cheaper than the Apple one but can work with 3 devices, and has backlit keys. The battery seems fine too - I have been using it for over 3 weeks now, and I haven't had to charge it yet with daily moderate use. The one thing I wish it had was the ability to customize the backlight settings. It turns off about 5 sec after you take your hands away from the keyboard, and turns back on as soon as your hands are about to touch the keyboard. I think that works best to save the battery, but I wish there was an option to customize that setting. Not a deal-breaker though. Overall it's a great accessory to the space gray Macbook Pro.

Awesome keyboard, the backlighting is awesome if you like to work in a dark room or at night. The hot swapping between different devices is awesome and the software is great too. The new logi options+ software you can reprogram keys and I was able to make one so it if I highlight text and hit the eject button (who needs to eject anymore?) it will open up a ui with an integration to chat GPT. It's made rephrasing emails and communications sooooo easy. The keys feel good, I like the weight of it too. It stays planted. I don't know why, but when something has a good weight it feels higher quality to me. Considering I have hammered on this for a year or two now. It's a good keyboard and isn't too loud. If you like the mechanical style where you can wake the dead, this one is whisper quiet and I do tend to mash a bit.
Issues though, the darn keyboard lights up randomly and all night will turn on and off lighting up my room. I couldn't find any solutions to this, but found If it is doing it that I need to just pick it up and shake it. My thought is maybe a key or something is getting stuck causing it to think it's being used. Outside of that battery life is lower than I would have guessed. I typically charge it once a a week if I am using the backlighting.

This is an excellent alternative to Apple keyboards, with a full keyboard set-up and numeric keypad in a great Bluetooth format. And it looks good too!
Since it's plastic, vs. the aluminum of the Apple keyboards, I was concerned that it might feel comparatively cheap, but it's heavy, solid and the rubber pads keep it from sliding around the desk.
The action on the keys is responsive and smooth and the backlighting comes up as soon as your hands get near the keys. When you're not typing, the backlight goes off to save battery power.
It also has some great pre-programmed functions on some of the F keys, which can also be reprogrammed using the app. It's unfortunate that you have to use a separate app to access some of the functionality, but I have the feeling that's mostly due to Apple restrictions, and the app is very easy to use.
It's not cheap, but if you use the keyboard a lot, this is a great option.

I recently bought a new Mac mini M1 and really wanted to update my old Logitech keyboard for something that was more Mac friendly. After searching around for a while, I finally decided on the MX Keys for Mac and it was absolutely the right purchase. I'm not a fan of the bigger desktop style keyboards with the bigger keys and prefer the chiclet style laptop keyboards. These keys are perfect for what I wanted. The travel and feel is perfect as well as being quiet. I also love the way the illumination automatically turns on and off only when needed, which helps improve the battery life. The weight of the keyboard is fantastic and keeps it from sliding around. The ability to quickly and easily switch between 3 different devices is also a huge plus. The only thing that could've made this purchase even better was if it had the ability to change the backlight coloring on the keys.

This thing is awesome! You'd be very surprised at how heavy it is. Battery life for me with this is around 10 days if I use the backlight, if not it's still going after around 20 days! Keys are amazing. Typeing experience is awesome! I love it.

I love the weight of the mouse. It feels like a metal body construction, so it does have some heft to it. Battery life is amazing. I do notice that when I type quickly sometimes, I feel like some key strokes get missed or skipped. I'm not sure if that's the keys or if that's the bluetooth. It'll be fine for most people, I just type faster than the average person. When I type at a steady pace, it doesn't have any issues keeping up.
The keys feel great, and I like how the keyboard lights up when it detects my hands go near it. The lights also automatically turn off after a bit to save battery. These are great features for when using the keyboard in the dark.
No complaints here regarding the keyboard. Overall, great tool for switching between three different laptops/workstations while working at home.

Part of me hates giving this keyboard 4 stars. It’s truly the best in almost every possible way. I replaced an Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID with this, and it’s truly superior.
My only minor gripe is that you can’t control how long the backlight stays on when you stop typing or move your hands away. I get that it would be a battery hog if it stayed on permanently. And the more it’s on, the more battery it uses. But it goes off after just 5 seconds and you can’t adjust that (or I can’t figure it out for the life of me). If you tend to often work at night or in the dark, it does cause these small delays - if you will - in your usual work rhythm, if you’re used to a keyboard that’s always backlit.
However, the build quality, key feel (just tactile enough but not loud or obnoxious or too light to the touch), and other features like easy switching between devices make this still the best keyboard you can get

I really wanted a full keyboard to move away from my Macbook keyboard. This one works great. I love all the various functions. I've had some connectivity issues, but nothing major. The backlight is a great feature and once connected I can quickly move from my home computer to my work laptop. I have both setup on my desk at a distance and make the change fast with one button.
I also like that it's quiet. Not silent, but quiet. Similar to the laptop keyboard, maybe even quieter.
The mac specific version is nice when using on MacOS as the keys are labeled correctly. However, when moving over to my work PC, they are not in the normal place. Take a bit of getting used to, but nothing unfamiliar if you have used a remote server on a mac already.

This keyboard is excellent. It does not slide around on the keyboard tray at all as my previous one did. The keys are responsive and backlight which is a very nice feature. I have only had it a month or so but I am glad that they placed the charging port so that the keyboard could still be used even with a low battery while being charged. Works seamlessly with my Mac Mini. Well done Logitech.

I've had this keyboard now for 4 months, I use it for work everyday. Battery life is great, I charged it once when I received the item and its now just at 10%. The keys feel great, perfect for someone with long nails. The back light is light detecting so it only comes on when it is dark. First keyboard I've owned that I've been obsessed with, truly a must buy!

Quality:
Great feel and nice heft. Won’t move around easily on your desk.
Feel:
Keyboard clicks feel great and the keys gave a surprisingly nice concave depression that feels nice to type on. The resistance is just right. I type on this thing all day.
Features:
I really like the backlight but it’s annoying you can’t really control it, except it’s brightness. It turns on automatically when you bring your hands over the keys. A really nice feature is the ability to pair the keyboard to three other devices, such as your phone and tablet. Sometimes I use it to respond to texts.
Overall:
If your on your computer all day it’s well worth the cost. It also pairs to three other devices which is nice.

Overall, I like this keyboard very much. Heaviest keyboard I have ever owned so it sits still on the desk no matter how hard I type away. Have been using for a month so far on the initial charge. Keys have a good feel and the backlight is nice too. If you have a Mac like I do, it will not work in Bluetooth to log in after a reboot if you have FileVault encryption turned on. This is not a problem with the keyboard, my understanding is all non-Apple BT keyboards suffer from this. However, if you use the included USB dongle instead of BT, it should be fine. I have a MacBook so I just use the built in KB to log in. Logging in from a locked state is not an issue, just after a reboot.

I changed from the full-size Apple Bluetooth keyboard to this one mainly because I missed having backlighting. The keys feel great, the lighting works well, good angle for typing, the weight of the keyboard feels great and it’s solid enough that I don’t have any flex unlike the K811 I’m using to type this review on my iPad (though still love).
I’m using with my 2018/2020 Mac Mini and the USB Unifying receiver. It works much better plugged directly into the Mini vs a USB hub. The Unifying receiver also works better than using Bluetooth. You are able to use the Unifying receiver for one device and Bluetooth for another like an iPad which is nice. I’ve been a big fan of Logitech accessories for a long time and this does not disappoint!

Beats Apple's Own Top Keyboard

The Logitech MX Keys Keyboards for Mac is probably the best Mac keyboard out there--even beating Apple's.
Just check out the features: Bluetooth, illuminated keys, rechargeable up to 5 months and switchable up to 3 devices. Does Apple's Magic Keyboard do any of that (except Bluetooth)?
Even the color of the MX Keys matches Apple's own devices.
The keys have a sculptured feel making it extremely comfortable.
My only complaint with this keyboard is that only uses Bluetooth connectivity. Yes it does work with an RF receiver, but Logitech does not include one with this keyboard--only the PC/Mac version includes both (even at the same price!)
If you' looking for a top-of-the-line Mac keyboard, this one is it!

I bought a prior version of this keyboard, or some similar version, but this one is a huge improvement. First, it looks more modern, not that the other was dated, but this one has a fresher look. It’s also considerably lighter and has batteries built in, vs batteries you had to install, which caught me out more than once. The build quality is first rate and you will pare with 3 separate devices and it’s super easy to switch between by pushing simple numbered buttons.
The one drawback is that it lacks the channel on top that allowed me to hold a phone or iPad, but I almost never used it for that anyway, so who cares!
All in all, worth every penny.

With its svelte design and responsive keys, typing feels less like a chore and more like a luxury experience. It's wireless, so it eliminates desk clutter, but might also eliminate your last excuse for avoiding work. Battery life is great, but don't be surprised if you start looking for things to type just to spend more time with it. Set up was a cinch. It's just so smoooooth.

This keyboard allows me to toggle between my work laptop (mac) and my personal laptop (pc) for seamless workflow. It's been an amazing space and time saver and it was well worth the money.
At first I didn't love that you could only purchase this with the extended numerical keyboard, but I have been using it way more than I thought I would be.
I also work with a lot of creative software and being able to program the FN keys to do custom commands has really saved me some time with repetitive workflow.
The keyboard has rubber backings so you don't have to worry about it scratching the surface of your desk (I currently rest it on my cintiq).

I decided to buy this keyboard for my macbook, as I wanted something that replicates the default laptop keyboard. As a software developer that uses keyboards a lot, this one is amazing! Different from my mechanical keyboards, but honestly better. It is quiet, smooth, easy to type with, and feels just like the Apple designs. The battery lasts about 10 days of every day use (with backlight on), but it charges pretty quickly! It is EXTREMELY light, which makes it great to transport and use in different parts of the house. Will only buy these in the future for work.

This keyboard is by far my favorite keyboard I have ever owned since I got into computers again lately. I grew up on a Mac so when I went to build my PC earlier last year, I wanted a keyboard that reflected all of those years on an apple product. It took me a while to find something I liked, but once I finally got my hands on this particular keyboard, it was hands-down and still is the best keyboard I have ever worked with, just like a Mac keyboard and even in some feels a bit more quality because of the steel finish.
