Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the comfortable keys, adjustable backlighting, and excellent battery life of the MX Keys keyboard. Many appreciate the ease of use and compatibility across multiple devices. While some find the keyboard heavier than expected, and occasional connectivity issues have been reported, the positive feedback on key feel and overall quality outweighs these concerns. The price point is noted by some as a potential drawback.

    My personal favorite keyboard

This keyboard is by far my favorite keyboard I have ever owned since I got into computers again lately. I grew up on a Mac so when I went to build my PC earlier last year, I wanted a keyboard that reflected all of those years on an apple product. It took me a while to find something I liked, but once I finally got my hands on this particular keyboard, it was hands-down and still is the best keyboard I have ever worked with, just like a Mac keyboard and even in some feels a bit more quality because of the steel finish.

Great product! It’s high-quality and heavy - illuminates when you need it to, dims when you don’t. The feeling of the keys is what got me to try it at the store and after a few months with it I’m very pleased. It’s a perfect companion to the MX Master 3S mouse!!

I needed to replace my older generation Mac keyboard and when I started my search I came across this Logitech model. I thought I would try it - so glad I did. It's very substantial - feels solid and is a little more weighty than a typical key board. The illumination function is great - makes the keys clearly visible. Set up was easy. Works perfectly with my MacBook Pro. It has a long last charge but if needed, you can charge it while using it. I think it's a better keyboard than Apple.

I was on the fence about this for so long. I couldn't decide if I wanted the Magic Keyboard II or this one. I finally gave in because of the lower price tag and customization options. This is an incredible keyboard and feels better than the apple keyboard in my opinion. It feels like the same materials and doesn't feel at all cheap (unlike the PC version of this keyboard). I really like how the keys move. Not to mention the backlighting. The apple keyboard is great if you want to pay the extra money and don't need any lighting but I think this is a clear winner.

This is a must buy. I have a 16 inch MacBook Pro, which is great and has an awesome keyboard, but the ability to use close the Mac and use this instead, saves so much space on my desk, because I have a monitor. Now no need to squeeze the Mac under the monitor. The functions are great and typing is super fast. I can never go back. Battery last a long time. I have this programmed for my MacBook Pro and also for my iPad. I'm also using an MX Master 2 mouse. Great purchase and illuminates for low light situations. Best thing I have bought in awhile.

The feature set and design of this keyboard are the best on the market. It works seamlessly with my Mac and Logitech has done a great job of making it customizable for my workflows. The smart backlighting works perfectly. And i love the clean design language that perfectly complements my Space Gray MacBook Pro.

This keyboard, while plastic feels solid and the keys have great travel and feel. Two main benefits of this over the apple keyboards. First, the ability to connect with up to three devices (perfect for me switching between work laptop and home iMac. Second, the key backlighting, triggered by a proximity sensor. Software offers a lot of customizations and has a few out of the box (like the calculator and screenshot keys). All in all its not much cheaper than the Apple version but offers more functionality. WELL worth the money.

I bought this keyboard just because I could connect to multiple devices in just a click of a button. So far I love how great it works. The one thing I like the most is it’s battery life. I rarely ever charge it. I’ve had it for few months now and it’s been great. The only issue I have is sometimes the upper case types lower case and when caps on it types lower case instead. It happens very few times. I just switch between devices and it resolves on its own again. Other than that it’s wonderful

I bought this keyboard because I got tired of going back and forth between my Apple keyboard and my Surface keyboard as I have both an iMac and a Surface Studio on my desk. Unbelievable...my life just became so much easier and this new Logitech keyboard works so smoothly. I can't believe it took me this long to try this baby out and I am really glad I did. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a great feel, premium looks and the versatility that it offers.

This is the second Logitech MX I've purchased. I've used the first one for 3+ years with no sign of wear and tear. It's a solid keyboard that works great. The battery life is very long so I rarely have to run it wired.

I don't usually write reviews, but I had to come back and leave one for this keyboard. I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I love this keyboard. It is so solidly made, the keys feel great typing on them and the backlight is wonderful. I purchased this mainly because I wanted a keyboard with a backlight, but found that I love typing on this keyboard and feel that it is much better than the Apple wireless keyboard. I highly recommend it.

Great, but with one critical flaw.

While working from home, I found the Apple keyboard uncomfortable for long-term use. I would often find my fingers and wrist hurting so after doing some digging I found this keyboard and what’s not to love - the build quality is impeccable. They keyboard itself is super comfortable to type on, even with extended usage. The keys are backlit, like a laptop. Decent battery life. The more I used it, the more I came to love it. However, there’s one critical flaw that wipes away most of the stars: if you have File Vault enabled (which for most managed devices - is a basic requirement to protect your company’s and customer’s data) - this keyboard will disconnect anytime the keyboard is restarted / shutdown and cannot reconnect until after login. So what this means is when the login screen comes up, the keyboard absolutely won’t function and you’ll need another keyboard just to log into the computer and then this keyboard will reconnect after login. I’m not sure why Logitech hasn’t overcome this or if there’s plans to, but if you got rid of your stock keyboard and didn’t know this, you would really be SOL and I feel like that’s something that should be notated clearly - i.e. on the packaging and the first time you go to pair/setup the keyboard. The fact that you need another keyboard to use this keyboard, keeps me from recommending this. The only other thing I didn’t care for is that Logitech recommends downloading an MX software for Mac. They say it improves the experience but it annoyingly flashes across your screen — i.e. when caps log is on/off it flashes to let you know, which while you’re typing is distracting.

Hello, thank you for your detailed feedback on your MX Keys Wireless Keyboard. We are always looking for ways to improve our products, so we appreciate your review. If your Bluetooth mouse or keyboard does not reconnect after a reboot at the login screen and only reconnects after the login, this might be related to FileVault encryption. When FileVault is enabled, Bluetooth mice and keyboards will only re-connect after login. Potential solutions: 1)If your Logitech device came with a USB receiver, using it will solve the issue. 3) Use your MacBook keyboard and trackpad to login.
      4) Use a USB keyboard or mouse to login. As you mentioned, with the Logitech Options software you can either enable or disable CAPS lock on screen notifications. I hope this information was helpful.

Hands down a better keyboard than Apple's

This keyboard is worth every single cent. First of all, its a Logitech. It just works. If you have a Logi wireless mouse, then you know how instant and seamless the wireless connection is. The keys are illuminated, they conform and cradle your finger tips at every keystroke, and although they're extremely responsive, they barely make a sound, even when you're hammering away doing extensive word processing, coding, creating documents, or typing out copy for content. Its sturdy, but not heavy. It doesn't move from wherever you place it, but not because its bulky and burdensome. Its casted out of aluminum it appears, and the back part of the keyboard is weighted. Feels very durable. One of the coolest things is that the keyboard has proximity sensors. So, the keyboard illumination will recognize your presence and light up the closer you get to the keyboard. You can also set the keys to stay fully illuminated if you like, but I suspect it conserves battery to leave the motion recognition on. There are so many other things to go over about this keyboard. Too much to list here. One more thing I will mention, if you use Logitech Flow, this thing can switch between three different desktop or laptop setups with the push of one button. Its so fluid and intuitive. Logitech really considered workflow with this keyboard, and it easily destroys Apples magic keyboard. Leaves it in the dust, quite literally. Don't even think any further. Buy this keyboard.

I bought this keyboard for three reasons: wireless, multiple devices and low-profile illuminated keys. It's worked perfectly so far for my Mac Pro and iPad Pro, and switching back and forth is instant and seamless. The backlit keys are helpful and I appreciate that the feature can be turned off completely for longer battery life. The feel of the keyboard is just right for me—keys are smooth and it all feels sturdy and durable.

I bought this along with the MX master mouse for my new macbook pro. I think this is a great keyboard for my use. It's easy to install, setup and it very comfortable to use. I like that it's bluetooth so there is no dongle. The keys are comfortable and I appreciate the backlighting on the keyboard at night. Switching between devices is seamless, the battery life is fine for my use and being able to charge via usb c is a plus. I highly recommend this keyboard for mac users.

Excellent but build quality keyboard. Works great with my Macs - individually. The Logitech Options software and Flow tech are the rub here especially relating the mouse. But the Flow software and using this keyboard across multiple systems is a key selling point. I’m now using this keyboard and mouse on a single Mac having been exhausted by the poor Logitech Options software. Yet I might keep it because the keyboard is so solid and I love the lights especially the hover proximity lighting and the great feel of the keys. At the same price as the Magic Keyboard, is this worth it? Likely not without the added benefit of flowing between systems.

The keyboard has a considerable weight and solid feel to it. I can get about a weeks worth of all day use out of a charge. Have been using it for about 10 months now, got it initially for work and liked it so much had to get one for the home office. The keyboard has a very nice soft feel to it. Very quiet too. I accidentally spilled liquid a sugary green tea drink into it, and it still works, however, some of the keys are a bit sticky now (as expected).
