I have it placed under my giant mouse pad, you can feel the different levels with the mouse that may mess you up occasionally. However, it is still better than having a mouse cord

It is worth the price of admission and I've paired it with a Logitech G502-Lightspeed, which is my favorite mouse ever. I've also used it with my G503 as well. Both are outstanding mice that can be paired with the Powerplay, seems mostly to be a matter of feel in the hand more than function.
