There are other controllers out there with more buttons, but they can make things more risky when waving hands around durung a presentation. I like this one because it's simple, so I do not worry about what button my finger is on while looking at the audience :)

I was so happy that I learned that this could be a universal way to advance the slides and it has improved my experience by leaps and bounds..

I had an older model that I have been holding on to for years that still uses the USB receiver. What I like about this one is that you still have that option or you can use the BlueTooth option (which is what I wanted). Works perfectly on my MacBook and PC! Would highly recommend this!

Simple, old-fashioned, and useful

The pointer dot is so small, though, that I often switch to one with a larger, brighter dot. But I don't need to stay close to the computer to advance the presentation, so even just that is handy. Also, power is provided by a small battery, so I don't have to worry about a charge running out.

This clicker is minimal, with only the 3 buttons (the laser pointer is weak and does not show up, so effectively 2 buttons). They function like arrow keys, so it's good for progressing powerpoints, but useless for anything else like emulating mouse clicks on different software when demoing. Would recommend going with a more functional clicker than this unless you're just doing slides.
