Great keyboard with a weak frame

This case is very attractive and the keyboard works very well, but the frame, just from gently sliding my ipad into place, got a hairline crack in one of the support tabs, which has gotten a bit bigger in the few weeks I've had it. So I guess eventually it will mean the end of this case, which is too bad because it is a little pricy and I was hopeing it would last longer than it seems to be. I recommend it, but take that with a grain of salt. Maybe my case had an unusual flaw or maybe the engineering is faulty...

Overall a great keyboard. After pairing, it always connects instantly when turned on. Long battery life. I have to recharge my iPad more often than the keyboard. Great response on the keys. The retainer clip at the lock button cracked within three weeks. Closing the cover only locks the iPad about half the time.

I do love the keyboard quite a lot however it does not hold a charge long enough for me. That just means that I have to charge it more frequently than I would like but then again that's true for every electronic product line I own

So much nicer than virtual keyboard

I purchased this keyboard/case back in January, when I purchased my ipad. I had to order it, as they did not have the color I wanted, Mars Red Orange, in stock. It finally arrived over two weeks later and in the mean time I was using the virtual keyboard on my ipad. This keyboard/case was very easy to hook up to my ipad, it works great. I can type so much faster with an actual keyboard, the virtual one was driving me nuts (although I was getting better at it). A little over a month ago, my ipad started slipping out of my keyboard/case and that is when the little clip that holds it in (yes it is just this one little clip, in the picture that holds it in), broke off. Oh no! I loved my keyboard/case, what was I to do. Well, it was still under warranty, so I called Logitech and they replaced it, fairly easy. It did take a little while, but they "gotter done" as my son would say. In the mean time, I used glue dots and scotch tape to hold my ipad into my keyboard/case. Even with all of this, I would not want to be without it. And I would recommend it to a friend, for sure.

    Thin and Portable

    Posted .

I bought the Logitech - Ultrathin Portfolio Keyboard Case for Apple iPad Air - Midnight Navy color recently and I LOVE it. It's thin and portable and makes the iPad Air look slick. It connects via Bluetooth (no surprise there) and it says that it has a 3 month charge life, so I'm not plugging the keyboard in nightly, which is great. Before I bought the iPad Air and subsequently this case, I had the iPad and had the Logitech Fabric Skin Keyboard Folio. Now that was a great case and instead of the bubble keys, it had the keys flush to the fabric, which made the case thinner. However, it cost a pretty penny. However, since the iPad Air is so thin, I decided to go with the bubble keyboard and I couldn't be happier. The only minor drawback is that the Logitech Fabric Skin Keyboard Folio knew when you were planning on using the keyboard, and when you weren't. This one doesn't seem to be able to do that- but maybe it does and I've not figured it out yet. If you are looking for a great case with built in keyboard, for your iPad Air- this is the one. Logitech outdid themselves on this one.

Good keyboard life, but bad design

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Pros: Keyboard life is great, lasts 2-3 months per charge, and I use this 3-4 times a week for 6 hours at a time. Fold design is neat, but see suggestions below later. Cons: bad design. Rubber that holds the keyboard up on the back wore away.now, the ipad slides off at the slightest bump. design is not reliable and consistent. especially dangerous on those flimsy student desks at college. suggestion: extend a metal and plastic and rubber hook to secure the ipad from top corners to bottom corners or something. Holding the ipad at the two top corners is not stable. Want stability? make sure case secures all four corners of ipad. golden rule! oh, and rubber is suppose prevent scratches on an ipad -- not fix something in place by itself (see red highlight in picture). Use metal with the rubber for maximum hold.

First off I loved how rich the navy blue looked and sleekness of the keyboard and it is a real keyboard ! I love that I can do anything without any hesitation along with its awesome battery life. I have accidentally left the keyboard on for a whole day or two and come back nd it is still working and I don't have to put it on the charge. Besides it really protects my device from pretty much everything !

When choosing a cover to best suit my needs for my new, expensive iPad, I couldn't decide whether to get a slim cover or a keyboard attached one, so I got both. I like the look and feel of this portfolio. The iPad fits in and comes out very easily, but it will not fall out because there are magnets holding it in place. The keyboard keys have a nice feel to them. You can comfortably type emails or journals with it. I wouldn't attempt anything very long. It charges quickly and pairs up effortlessly with the iPad. Admittedly, it adds a bit more bulk to the slender iPad because of the keyboard. If that doesn't bother you, this will work out well. I will use it for travel, but will probably keep the slimmer cover on while it's at home.

This is a great keyboard case for your ipad. The battery life is long, it's lightweight and slim and I now use my ipad more for work than I use my laptop. I will continue to recommend this case to friends.

I had another keyboard that kept locking up or turning off. This one works perfectly every time. It is light and thin, yet sturdy, and when I don't need the keyboard, it's very easy to detach my iPad.

The keyboard is easy to use. The developer did not squeeze the keys together in order to down size it. Rather, you loose some function keys such as the "tab" key, which can get quite annoying at times. I would rate it 5.0 starts, but the case can bend allows keys to be pushed while in my bag.

The keyboard function is great. It takes a bit to realize that with the keyboard on the touch screen doesn't activate for things like unlocking the iPad for use. It seems to hold a reasonable charge, but would like a warning when the charge is low. Sometimes it will just shut off mid-use.

This is the 4th keyboard cover I have gotten for my iPad. It is by far the best! The Logitech one broke quickly, the two Zagg ones broke after 6 months. This one is sturdier, easier to use (it pairs consistently and the magnetic on/off functionality works), and it still fits in my purse. I am very pleased with this item and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cover with a keyboard.

I was skeptical about purchasing a keyboard but I have to say, I love this cove/keyboard. It connects with Bluetooth technology and the battery lasts a long time. I forget to turn off the keyboard and yet there is a charge all week long. I like the feel of the keys. They are nice and they don't stick! I actually like this keyboard better than my laptop keyboard.

This is one of the few keyboard cases that I found that could be flipped 360 degress to the back of the iPad. That is the feature that I wanted. I really like the size and weight of this device - very light and compact.
