Biggest Embarassment to Logitech I've Experienced

I ordered this with my Galaxy Tab 10, which is on the list of tablets supported by this "universal" case. It does not fit. The 2 rubberband hooks have awkward corner-shaped tips that were designed to support a 4:3 aspect ratio screen not a 16:9. They sit with over an inch of slack around the tablet, if you straighten them the tablet kicks itself out of the stationary bottom 2 clips. The pegs that hold it in place are also not great. If you reach for something it's going to fold shut. There is no padding, your tablet will smash it's face into the plastic keys. The keyboard does not fold back behind the tablet neatly when it is not required, suggesting you fully remove the case when you aren't typing. Because of the terrible hook design the secured, supported model tablet slides a good inch left and right with the folio closed. Speaking of closing the folio, there are 2 specific notches in the cover meant to keep the screen of your device from grinding across the keys. With the band securing the cover in place aligned properly, the slightest movement will disengage those notches and the full force of the alphabet is ready to ruin your screen. I unboxed this $50 case tonight. It goes back tomorrow.

I have had my iPad for a few years now, and never even thought about using a Folio. To be honest, I had never heard the word ‘Folio’. Then I was asked to try this Universal Folio Keyboard. What a surprise!! I stopped using my laptop because let’s face it, they get hot when they are on your lap!! So I started using my iPad while sitting around. It was hard to type on it because the keyboard is so flat. Enter the Folio. I got it connected, super easy, and haven’t taken it off since!! I love the way the keyboard is so easy to use. It was easy to attach to my iPad and the keys were easy to use. My hands are small so it was a good fit. It has clips at the top to hold the iPad in place and it also has little slots on the bottom to stand it up. It has enough slant that my head isn’t pointed straight down looking at the screen. I like the hard plastic case as extra protection for my iPad and the elastic strap that holds it closed. It also has a light up on and off switch which is easily to access. The only drawback I found was sometimes the screen would slip out of the bottom slots. If the slots were cut deeper, or sungger, then the screen might be a little sturdier. Other than that, I can’t think of anything I don’t like about this Folio. I do really like that my lap isn’t all hot like with my laptop. This product has been put at my disposal for no compensation and in order to share my honest and unbiased opinion. Once I have completed my testing, it will be returned to the manufacture.

Overall, this Logitech Universal Folio is a fantastic keyboard with a sturdy and natural typing mechanism that just feels right. It pairs immediately to my iPad every time I need it to, and it has never dropped a connection. Logitech claims that the battery life will last up to 2 years. Awesome! The shortcut keys work great with IOS and make my iPad feel like a laptop. If there is a negative to the experience it is the size of the folio. It is large and the whole thing feels a bit clumsy. Though in practice the folio is plenty secure and is easily useable both on my desk and lap. I suppose the size is what makes the folio universal in that it is made to fit 9 to 10 inch tablets of obscure makes and sizes. I see that Logitech makes a keyboard specifically for my iPad Air 2. I will probably be checking that out because, other than size, I have absolutely no complaints about the keyboard. In fact, I love it! It just works and works well.

Used with iPad 2 The folio was easy to remove from the packaging. The instructions, while concise, did not provide any text. It was easy enough for me to discern what needed to be done, but less tech savvy users may experience issues setting the device up. I did experience some issues getting the folio to pair with my iPad. I will not fault Logitech on this, though, as I've noticed many times that Apple products can have some issues when first pairing with a new accessory. I have noticed issues with the bluetooth staying connected. While the folio does go into an inactive state when you fold it over to use the touch screen (as it should), I experienced issues with getting the device to reconnect when I put it back into the keyboard configuration. When the device functions properly, I think it is a solid product. I would prefer the thickness to be a bit smaller when you fold it closed, but you give up some of those comforts when using a universal item. As much as I like the concept behind the folio, I don't see this as something I'd use on a regular basis. I think it would be a great product for someone who travels often and does work primarily from an ipad or tablet. It does make typing long responses significantly easier than using the touch screen.

fits horrible on my tab A 10.1 it's not very adjustable, I would like to move the tablet higher, my hands cover the lower part of the screen while typing and it just looks bad over all. 55$ is very expensive, I bought it on the store and I wasn't informed of the deal that they had for it online. I understand that it doesn't explicitly says that it fits the tab a, but I was still expecting being able to adjust it. offers no padding and the tablet feels very unprotected. The image shows a stylus which was a little misleading, it made me think it came with one. it's really easy for the folio to fold forward, you can't really move too much while using it. The only positive is that the keyboard feels ok

I did not purchase this, but was asked to test it. At first I had a hard time getting the blue tooth to connect, but then I realized what I was missing. Now that it is connected, I just love. The case is sturdy and holds my ipad (10") in place. I can place this on my knees and type away. I love having this keyboard better then the keyboard on the ipad. I now use it more then my laptop. It's nice and easy to carry outside. I like the factor that the case is a hard plastic. I use my ipad a whole lot more now that I have this case. The clips that hold the ipad in place are a nice hard plastic. Its really easy to clip in and out. I use my ipad to store alot of my knitting and crochet patterns on it, so often the other case would just collapse. With this one it is very sturdy on the couch or outside on a table. Even when the table was bumped the case did not fall, it was sturdy and when someone else sits on the couch, again the case did not move, the case kept it in the same position. It closes nice and easy and opens the same way. Very nice and would very much consider purchasing one and even getting two more for my grandsons.

I travel a lot so I was quite excited to try out the Universal Folio on my latest trip. I must admit I didn’t read the instruction so I switched it on and I didn’t see the power until I pulled the plastic slip from the battery compartment and the light lit up green. Try pairing with the device on a plane may be a pain because I found like 20 other Bluetooth devices ready to be connected and I had to scroll down until I found the Universal Folio all the way at the bottom of the list. After that, it was simply entering the passcode on the keyboard to pair with my ipad mini. The keyboard looks and feels small, but it does the job and fits perfectly on my economy food tray. I was able to respond to several work emails without finger fatigue from typing. Keystrokes are very responsive and I experience no delay. The only complaint I got about this is when you close it, the top grip holders are pressing against the left CTRL shifts and right arrow keys, which may result in damage in the long term. For now, I am taking this baby with me on all my trips just so I can check in with work periodically from my ipad.

It works well, but it needs replacement batteries every now and then. Not sure if it’s a real battery drainer but it seems to not hold up for 2 months unlike the promised year long performance. Maybe I brought the wrong battery size or need better ones to compensate. The keys are secure, but slightly loose. I had one pop off but it easily snapped back on and hasn’t come off since. For its price you pay for what you get really. And it’s versitile too, so that’s a plus. Switching tablets means you don’t have to replace the keyboard(unless it’s bigger than 10”) I do wish it wasn’t mostly just bare plastic. I feel as if the frame of the body could scratch off the screen and the body of any tablet device.

I have always bought Logitech for my case and keyboard for my iPad Air 2.... the first one was bought when my ipad was brand new, however it died of old age, so. I bought this one.... the quality of the product is not that great. It is designed to accommodate a number of different tablets and there in is the problem.... the iPad Air 2 must be the smallest tablet it can accommodate so there is plenty of play on the brackets that they use to hole the iPad in place.... I realize that this product was cheaper then the first one I bought, so it lacks a lot...... in a pinch I would buy this, but not very happy with it.... plus it is battery run, instead of the old one where I could charge it up..... but this is what happens when your do not have current equipment, you have to find a product that will hopefully work.... and I refuse to buy a new iPad at this point....

Just received my order on this Logitech keyboard case. My initial take is that it feels very cheaply made. All plastic folding case that will most likely crack if accidentally dropped. Plastic surface is very smooth and easily slides against itself when folded closed or folding the case backwards when holding by hand and keyboard is not needed, not able to hold it comfortably and keeps sliding on itself making it very clumsy to hold. I predict this case will not last too long and I will be buying something different when it's time to replace this. The bluetooth keyboard paired easily with my new Acer Iconia One B3-A40, no issues there so far with pairing or keyboard performance. My Acer tab fits perfectly in it and feels very secure. Please note that the stylus shown in the picture is NOT included with the case, I was disappointed on this when I opened the box but luckily I had a spare stylus that fits OK in the holder. Overall, although it does its intended job, this product feels cheap and not worth $60. I want at least $30 back to be satisfied with my purchase. I do NOT recommend this product, there are better options for less money.

I absolutely love this keyboard! It fits my iPad 4 really well. It was easy to connect. The buttons of the keyboard feel really good and they are very lightweight making it easy to type. It also has an on and off button. I try to turn it off when I am not using it to save battery power. The good thing is, while it is on, it goes on sleep mode when you haven’t used it in a while. The keyboard and case part of the keyboard is VERY sleek! I leave my iPad in it all the time as a case. There is an elastic strap that holds together the case and the iPad. And there is also room to put a stylus. Overall my iPad really feels like a mini laptop with the keyboard!

Now that Hurricane Irma has passed and life is getting back to some semblance of order, I’ve had more time to spend using the Universal Folio. I use my IPad2 frequently for many different applications, one of which is to read or reference material while standing at a podium addressing medium to large size groups of people. When my iPad is clipped in the universal Folio on these occasions I don’t really need the keyboard and it is cumbersome and somewhat in the way when just trying to view the iPad because it has only one position/angle. The angle is great for typing, but not necessarily the best positioning for the application explained above. If you don’t like that angle you have to remove the iPad tabs out of their locked position and just lay the IPad on top of the keyboard. Again, that is a little awkward and not to my liking. Overall, it is a great setup and I have loved using it. It is quick to fold out, click on and get right to work. It is great for taking notes during meetings or just jotting down thoughts and impressions for various projects for me. Sent from my iPad

I am not going to write anything different than what others have commented. Hard-hitting: It is definitely not worth the stated price. One could get a tablet for the same amount! If one has at least seen the Surface's detachable keyboard, you would realize how tall the design and aesthetics have grown. This keyboard is late to the market by about 6yrs. BT 3.0 was old as 2009. Pros - 1. Can act as a super case/shell for your tablet 2. The keys are solid and feels good, but not as good as the Surface's cloth board 3. The holders are capable to accommodate different sizes 4. Good battery life Cons - 1. Old design 2. Old technology 3. Overpriced 4. For the price, there is no backlight for the keys 5. Flimsy/low quality plastic 6. Bulky! 7. Has two adjustments (tilt) only 8. Does not come with a pen 9. For the size, there is no touchpad

I absolutely adore this keyboard! It's absolutely perfect for anyone who does a lot of typing on their phone or their iPad! It may only fit a specific size iPad, but if you position the keyboard to set up like a laptop like you're supposed to while in use, it has enough lean that any device smaller than the suggested one will stay there. I've used this keyboard both with my iphone and my iPad and I absolutely loved it! It made writing so much easier! The best part, was I chose this product with only the expectation of it just being a generic iPad keyboard... it was not! There are so many little perks to it that it just blew my mind! You can type from a distance away and it will still work, should you have to leave your phone somewhere and go check on the spelling of something or maybe you're documenting something and your phone or iPad is charging. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to everyone I know with a Bluetooth compatible device!

I have been using my Logitech - Universal Keyboard Folio Case for about 3 weeks now. When I first received it I struggled to get my tablet into place. The instructions showed just images, I think some text would have helped. Additionally it took several (many) attempted to sync the bluetooth from keyboard to tablet. Once synced up the keyboard works well when sitting at a desk or table. The base of the keyboard is too light to counter the weight of a tablet when you try to balance it on your lap or a soft surface. I also missed using shortcuts like copy, paste and save. For a basic keyboard it works well, but I think the price should be lower. Aesthetically, It looks professional and sleek. I got this keyboard to see if I could survive without investing in a new laptop. In the end I decided a laptop was more functional for on the go mostly because of ability to actually use it on your lap.

I bought this keyboard and cover for my Samsung Pro Tab S Tablet as a replacement for the original Logitech keyboard I bought with the unit. That one worked perfectly for 2.5 years until some of the letters stopped working. This unit is awful. The wireless connection between the keyboard and the tablet disconnected at least once a minute then when it did disconnect it would act like I was holding down a letter and I couldn't get the letter to stop repeating on my screen. The last case I had was magnetic and held itself to the tablet, so when you closed it, the case stayed in place and the tablet turned off. This case does neither of those. It slides around on the tablet and it does not turn the tablet off. I ended up taking the tablet out of the case and using the digital keyboard on the tablet because I was too frustrated with the Logitech keyboard to continue using it.

This lets my cheap 9.7 CTL ChromeOS tablet become a little laptop. It would work fine for an even larger tablet and it might look better, too. There's a lot of empty visual space around the tablet when mounted. The bluetooth works well, no dropped keystrokes. It does time out after inactivity, but that's only a problem if you're watching a movie or something. The hooks that connect the screen to the keyboard are a little fiddly. The whole tablet flops forward on it's face if you put any pressure on the rear of the case while the tablet is connected. The keyboard seems solid, but the stretchy tablet holders fell like they won;t last forever.

I liked being able to have a keyboard to use for my iPAD, I travel around for my second job and it made it much easier to be able to only take my iPAD instead of my computer and iPAD. I have an older iPAD and it fit my iPAD securely and just right. However, the case is kind of big because it is meant to fit a variety of iPADs and tablets. I had a little trouble with the product because I forgot to turn it off one night and it didn't work until I left it off for a day. The keyboard is not re-chargeable which is a plus and a minus. I would recommending the product to others, it is super convenient to have a keyboard for my iPAD, but you need to make sure that you turn it off when you are not using it. If you are looking for a smaller keyboard, I would not recommend this product. The product is sturdy and does what it is intended to do.

I have used the logitech folio for my 10.1 inch samsung tab A. but i am dissapointed with the fitting with my Galaxy Tab A, The two sockets of the upper side is not aligned properly. The make quality of the folio is very good, The keyboard has a great feel, has good key spacing and its very easy for typing . I loved the shortcut keys for screenlock/ homebutton /search . The bluetooth pairing is very easy and i didnt find any connectivity issue . The folio held my tab firmly in position, but I would like some option of the angle of the screen for different viewing heights. I did not notice any lag time between the keyboard and Tab
