You either have to tighten it until you think you are going to break it, or you can do anything but swivel it left or right. Either way, then it's going to slowly, and sadly, sag.

Posted .Hi there, sorry to hear this. It sounds like a set up opportunity and we'd love to help with that. The boom arm should articulate as expected once the mic is attached. The weight of the mic allows the boom to balance automatically and without the mic the arm will continue to sag or spring straight. You can then fine tune the adjustment via the hand tightening at each hinge. These should only need to be tightened lightly. Further articulation/snap control is available via the screw on the base. Logitech customer support was nonhelpful, giving me the standard run around. Personally feel I was due expidited shipping, due to this being broken straight out of the box.
