The speakers have limited settings and sound terrible. Ended up returning.

Stopped working after a few weeks. I though logitech would produce a better product.

Did not work had to return them. Sounded like one of the speakers had blown.

desktop speakers work fine and i like the fol control on one of the speakers. But the bass speaker has no sound or just rattles.

At the store it sounded great. At home it crackles with crappy sound quality.

For the money (on sale at $45 + tax), these speakers work really well. Clean sound, with surprisingly good bass for a 4" "subwoofer" driver. The CNET review complained about insufficient bass at high volumes - I think there's plenty of it to rock out at my desk, I don't expect this little system to rock a rave :-) My only complaint is with the Best Buy buying experience. I paid for it online, to pick up at the local store. Got the email that it will be ready in about 45 minutes, and as I had some errands to run, I did not wait for the final confirmatory email. About 2+ hours later, I arrive at the store, and they say it's still not ready, there's a "hold" on the purchase. The clerk doesn't know why or how much longer it will take, and suggests cancelling the online purchase and buying it off the shelf (it's in stock, that was not the problem). He goes to get it for me, rings it up, and when I swipe my credit card, I see it's $10 more. I guess $45 was the online sale price, in-store it's $55. Had to cancel that, told him to honor the on-line price. No problem, he says, Best Buy will honor or beat any price. Great, but if I hadn't noticed, I would have been charged an extra $10.

Bass was bad and made terrible noises would not recommend at all.

I've spent over 50 on other kinds of speakers, so I wasn't expecting this to be good. I had bought this as a replacement for an older pair of Logitech speakers that we paired with the desktop back in 2009. To say that the speakers were tinny, quiet, and subpar would be an understatement. I decided to get this, to see how it a Logitech speaker system of the price point of the 2009 speakers would sound. To say the least, this was better than expected. The bass was far better, mostly because of the subwoofer. Some of the people here are complaining about the bass, but you have to understand that the amount of bass is customizable on the subwoofer itself. A simple dial changes it from no bass to an excessive amount of bass. You can listen to music and see which intensity of bass you want. It is ridiculous to say there is too much bass or not enough bass with the options given to you with the subwoofer. The sound was far clearer tha the speakers I had in 2009. The sound sounded like our LG Portable Speaker, which had cost 120$. IF you need a budget pair of speakers, this is impressive. If you have the money for something better, go for it. But this is good for a budget.

It was very easy to install and the sound is great! And the price don't break the bank. It seems like Logitech is a very good brand. I also have a wireless Logitech mouse for 8 years and also works great!

I really like these speakers. Good bass, satellites have nice sound - can be used in audio setups beyond just pc desktop use. There is one issue to be aware of, though. Each satellite has TWO driver speakers, one facing front and the other facing rear. Positioning these things is critical to getting good sound. If placed too close to a wall, the rear speaker will create an echo effect you will not want. You will have to find the rooms sweet spot locations for this to work. If you can, you will love this speaker system.

These little speakers to a great job of filling up the room with sound. My desk at home sticks out in the middle of a big open space, and these speakers easily let me fill the room with good-quality music for anybody around. They're not a high-powered stereo system, but I've got one of those if I needed one. These are just great all-around speakers, and the omnidirectional feature means that they really work to fill the whole room while still being focused and directed at me in my desk chair. The one downside is that I wish they had a headphones jack built in, for those times when house-filling sound is exactly what I don't want.
