    Hollowed Be Thy Sound

This budget computer speaker set is quite average, an overrated product producing excessive bass with one dimensional sound. Before I purchased this product, I was testing out the Insignia NS-PSD5321, a more affordable alternative; the latter initially produced superb sound producing brilliant highs synchronized with rumbling yet powerful bass. However that same day I assumed that this Logitech product would deliver more taste to the sound, under the product's claims that the Logitech speakers offered 360 degree sound as well as a base boom with the subwoofer. To my dismay, this Logitech model underperformed. First, the satellite speakers delivered a hollow sound. It was difficult to differentiate the various atmospheric noises in the Halo 4 multiplayer; Drake's Hotline Bling was increasing unenjoyable as well through the two speakers. As for the subwoofer, it rumbled at the key of almost every bass-producing aspect in both music and gaming (Halo and Rockband with some songs on my mp3 player). I would not recommend this product because it is overpriced compared to its contending products, failing to suffice its promises of excellent sound. Once again, it produces hollow noises, undeserving of the title "sound," and although it does keep up to its promise of 360 degree delivery, it fails at sound quality and differentiation.

I found this speaker system too confusing to use. I hooked it up to the stereo system I purchased, but had to not only use the separate volumes on the speakers, but also the one on my system, and my system sounded better without the speakers. I tried to use them with my brand new laptop and the speakers hummed, so had to unhook them. The bass is plenty loud enough, to the point that it sounds like it's separate from the sound of the speakers, and they just don't marry well, and the bass just boomingly thuds, rather than enhancing the bass sound of the music playing. I haven't had the ride yet, but am going to be returning it to my nearest store as soon as I'm able.

I've had these speakers for a month. They were easy to hook up and the sound quality is quite nice for a 10×12 office. What I don't like is that the subwoofer has started making low-volume, low-pitched, random sounds. I only hear it when I'm not using the speakers and it can be quite annoying, even to the point of having to turn the speaker system off. I may try to exchange them in the hope that this isn't an across-the-board problem with this model. Other than this one issue, I think they are fine for the price.

Could Be Better - but I went for 'cheaper'

I did not want to break the bank as I only use these on my work desk sporadically. Sound is OK but when the system is not on, the subwooder will flutter like thunder. Could be a defect or just how it rolls. Either way, they COULD be better but I did not want to spend a fortune on these. Also, the wiring was excessive and made for an extra messy set of cables behind my desk. I think that could be simpler. Overall, they do what I need but for everyday home use, I would not buy.

not working well with stereo system

The value and wattage is not bad, I wanted a speaker that has medium-to-high wattage. But I have an old stereo system that has a speaker plug and after I plug the speaker into it, it doesn't work well - the main speaker, the one with the volume control doesn't sense the signal so it didn't make any sound at all, but the other speaker worked normally. With my android cellphone this model works well. However, the Logitech model#Z313 works well with both my cellphone & speaker system.

I purchased this item for my daughter who is living on campus. I returned the speakers before the 30 days because the auxiliary cable was defective. I decided to purchase the next set of speakers by the same manufacturer, and again we experienced the same problem. My daughter likes the sound of the speakers and has decided to purchase a separate auxiliary cable. We will see how that works.

Bought this for my office desk. Product works fine, although I think it's a little on the expensive side for what you get. Also, because the satellite speakers have to connect to the sub woofer, the cord length of the speakers should be longer. I was really limited on my set up choices because of the length of the cord. That said, they sound fine, however. I'd recommend them, especially if you could pick them up on sale

My speaker system went out and I needed something to listen to the music I am writing. This system would be okay for a PC/laptop if all you needed to hear were the bells 'n' buzzers of games from the '60s. The bass has a low growl making the mids & treble over powering. I am not an audiofile, but I do expect some clean sound when listening to music.

A Good Low Cost Sound Solution

I am using this sound setup for a flat screen TV ... the sound quality is good but not exceptional ... the sub-woofer has a surprising amount of bass, too much for me at above about the 10 o'clock position ... but if you like more, there is plenty to spare ... I consider this a good, low cost solution for a TV but probably a very good choice for computer applications ...

Adequate sound at low-to-mid volumes but noted distortion at higher volumes as well as at higher freqencies. Ended up replacing them with the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. Good option for those on a budget but if you are an audiophile, go with a better system.

    Sounds Good Except for Crackling

The speakers have decent tone (keep in mind that I am NOT an expert). So they sound good. But there is now a distinct crackling when there is no sound or little sound coming through. I though it was my sound card, but unplugging the speakers didn't help; they still crackle. Maybe I got a defective set. Might be worth exchanging for a new set.

    Sound On A Budget

When needing something quick on a tight budget, this system fits the bill without sounding like it's a tin can. They don't produce high quality sound like a system that costs $300+, but is good for the average streaming video or standard quality streaming audio and Facebook games.

I have been looking for the ideal speaker solution for my desktop setup and these definitely are not the solution. That being said, they aren't awful either, and Best Buy is pricing competitively with Amazon (at least at the time of this writing) ... so you be the judge.

I really just got this for the price but design wise they could have been better. The speakers are a little too bulky and too many wires going around, speaker to speaker then to sub woofer then to computer. If you like a clean desk buy wireless ones instead. Sound is great but nothing special.

I bought this so I could hear my electronic drum kit without wearing earphones and didn't want to buy a large amp. Volume is reasonable as is the sound for the money. But if you're looking for lots or volume or high fidelity sound, you'll want to spend more money.

Sound quality OK, but can only be used on lower settings. Anything more and the speakers hiss, drone, crackle, throb... in short not a high quality sound. They do what I want for a cheap price.

I wasn't going n the market for expensive things but I wish I would have spent a bit more and got better speakers. Theyre not very loud and they don't seem to be very compatible with my apple mini Mac as it constantly doesn't recognize the speakers

The sound is ok if you keep the sub turned down low, otherwise it drowns out the other speakers. Would not recommend these for gaming or listening to music, but they're a decent all around speaker set for general tasks and watching occasional videos.

I bought this system without reading a review, and am a little disappointed. They have good base, but no treble to speak of or any way to adjust it like my previous old school speakers had. No tone control is a big negative for me.

Reasonable mid-range quality speaker system for PC

Chosen for mid-wattage output--50-60 watts, which is fine for PC listening; not as full- sounding as the higher wattage output but to be expected; however, much better than the 10w which was the low-end choice; price OK.
