Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Z506 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers' sound quality, bass, and ease of use. Many also appreciate the value for the price and the ample volume. However, some customers mention that the cable lengths could be longer, and a lack of wireless functionality is a common point of feedback. A small number of users reported issues with some speakers not functioning correctly.

Great as a LCD TV SPEAKER than getting a sound bar

Definitely better than the TV speakers and better than the sound bar that i got for a budget - this one is way better in quality and the bass is impressive for the price. GET THIS ONE AND SAVE YOURSELVES the headache. AN EXCELLENT BUY - BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!!

I use these in my office, hooked up either to my computer or my smartphone, so I'm not expecting high fidelity. Having said that, they put out remarkably high quality sound. One particularly attractive feature is the long cords (much longer than for other computer speakers), allowing much more flexibility of placement than other speakers I've used. No pun intended, but these really are a best buy.

    Solid choice...

I bought these speakers to use with my computer and also as a surround sound system for my TV. After opening the box, I realized that my receiver was too old to take the RCA outputs that were required. Instead, I used the analog sound cables for my computer and let me tell you, these things work like a champ. the center channel has a fold out clip like thing (think webcam) that allows you to mount it on top of your monitor for a solid center channel. You will likely have to go into your sound cards features in order to use the surround sound, as most music is usually recorded in Stereo... I inquired in store, and they were unsure, and I did not see mention of it on the reviews/site. The rear cables are about 12-15 feet long, more than enough for what i'm using it for. Keep in mind, there is no way to mount the speakers by default, so make sure you have some sort of shelf or table you can mount them on.

Using this as a simple solution for a tv set up in a bedroom, does the work of a home theater system without any problems, though probably wouldn't work as well in a larger area (limited range of cable for rear speakers). Sound is great, connections are easy, and the build is solid.

I went to Best Buy to buy some better replacement of my old speakers and i already knew what kind of speakers I wanted - Klipsh or Bose when I heard a beautiful sound coming from these speakers, The price was absolutely wonderful compared to the other two brands so I bought them and I am very happy with these speakers. The bass is very deep and powerful and you can feel the airflow in range of about 3' from the sub-woofer , I have home theater system Pioneer and this sub woofer is more powerful then my Pioneers sub-woofer which is unbelievable. There is one detail - I use ASUS Xonar DX audio card and believe me the sound is amazing especially when I use FlexBass. So at this price these speakers are pure piece of gold ,,,

I am extremely happy with the sound quality on this system. For a low price you turn your PC into a completely new experience. As a result of the well executed 5.1, games and music are infinitely better. The only thing I would change about the system is I would make each speaker mountable. It would have costed logitech nothing to put an optional bracket on the back of the front and rear speakers to allow a more streamlined setup. Now I either have to mount a shelf on my wall or just deal with wires all over my floor.

    Very basic audio system

Just purchased this system to replace Harman/Kardon 2.1 60 watt audio that started breaking after 10 years of use. If you never had speakers with the sub woofer, you might find this system to be good for start. It is impossible to get a good quality sound if you put the sub above medium setting as well as the speakers. It has a weak sub, so don't expect nice base coming out of it. Also, it will take you some time to set all the payers to play surround sound. It will not play surround if you are browsing movies or music online. I am planning to return and get Logitech z623 2.1 200w system. I know that those speakers have a sweat base and very clear sound. Surround on the computer is kind of pointless unless you have a really good sound card or receiver that will convert stereo to surround 100% of the time. If you have all that, then there is a point to get a better system anyway.

I was skeptical at first when my friend introduced me to them because all I was looking for was a simple set of speakers, just two. Well, I was in utter shock with how amazing they are! I am so in love with my speakers. i love listening to my music, watching movies and youtube videos with these speakers. Everything sounds so awesome! The bass is really loud but easily adjustable. I am so glad I bought them!

Unboxing - So I bought this set tonight because I play a lot of video games and want to bring my video games to life, without having to wear a dang headset all the time. I was super excited and got home and set it all up, and setting it up was a snap! It was all color coded and very plug and play! There is the 3.5mm jacks and basic audio red and white connections. No hdmi or optic or any other kind of connection. Design - I have always been one to like simple speaker designs that are subtle, but these look almost kind of silly to me, there is no covers or even metal covering the speakers, it's just a thin cloth, which is a cool idea, but it's not very protective and kind of looks weird, again personal preference there. Sound - The speakers sound... OK. Nothing great, not bad, just ok. The sub is nice, but it's the only speaker set up I have had with a sub for my computer so idk what it compares to. The speakers themselves just seem like 5 cheap speakers that you would get with any new desktop, and there is supposedly small tweeters in these but I don't believe it, the little round spot on top isn't a tweeter, it just looks like one... What a waste of money and time on that one Logitech... :/ Now I do have one serious problem with mine that I'm actually planning to return them because of. There is a lot of noise coming through the speakers almost like your phone is about to ring next to speakers and it won't go away, and it's not the connection from the computer to the speakers so I think it has to do with the whole set up... So fair warning, make sure you check when you unbox these bad boys, I may just have a dud, who knows, it happens all the time. Features - Again there is only 2 types of input, 3.5mm jacks or the A/V style red and white plugs on the sub woofer. The center speaker has sort of a hooking mechanism like a webcam that allows it to sit comfortably and safely on the monitor. There is a bass knob on the back of the sub and a master volume and the on/off switch is on the front right speaker. If I'm not mistaken the last surround sound Logitech made for computer had a separate wired remote that controlled bass, treble, volume, on/off, and had a button that was called Matrix. Matrix would add a nice reverb like tone to it giving it a live feel and softened the sound making it feel surround, even though it was still stereo. But the z506 does not have this wired remote, nor does it have treble control or the matrix control... Also these speakers do not come with covers, and they can't be mounted. Yet, the last model you could do all of these things, AND they all had stands... So features is really lacking... Overall - I am not really impressed with these speakers. I love the idea of surround sound for playing my video games but these just aren't what I'm looking for. I'm no audiophile but I'm not deaf, and I know what sounds good and what's worth $100, and to me, these aren't worth the price. If you need a budget surround sound, this is you! If you just want good speakers, go with the Klipsch, that's what I'm going to get tomorrow.

These little speakers pack a punch! At first I was just okay with them but once I got into some settings, it was over. Surprising! Great sound for $100. Another good thing is they came with 3 different types of adapter cables. My roommate went and bought his own after he heard how good they sound.

I bought this from BB for $80 and got a steal! I'm not an expert on speaker systems and the only other speakers I've had before are ones that came with the pc, so I can't really compare the z506 5.1 speakers to any of similar quality and/or price. But, I'm very happy with them! I haven't yet configured the rear speakers to maximize their output, but hopefully, with some cheap speaker stands, appropriate spacing, and Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD soundcard that I also got a great deal on from BB, they'll sound even better.

I originally bought the smaller version without the boom but it was too tinny. I swapped it out and, boy, did I make the right choice! These speakers are awesome!! I have them hooked up to my laptop and you would never know it. Music to my ears!

Have a PC in my home office and added these speakers to listen to music and to watch an occasional movie. Sound exceeded my expectation for a low cost 5.1 speaker system. The only thing I would like is an instant on/off when the pc is turn on/off.
