Amazing sound quality. And a surprising amount of bass for only a 3 inch woofer.

Was looking for new computer speakers, and decided to get these. No problems with them, had for 2 months. Quality sound, but not top end. But for the money, I got exactly what I was looking for and am not disappointed at all. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for sufficient speakers for the computer or even TV in a smaller room (due to size of speakers and wiring).

You really can't beat the price to performance of these little powerhouse speakers. There are some things that could be better like bass clarity, but the overall sound is great. The volume is good enough to play music for a party in a pretty large room. I have them in my basement which is pretty large and open and I don't even have to put them on full blast to really feel the sound. The inclusion of the wires to make use of the 5.1 is nice, too. I've always trusted Logitech as a brand. Their low cost products are always reliable and decent performers. Definitely reccommended for a budget gaming set up and really anyone in need of an affordable alternative to cheap speakers packaged with your pc.

Got this to replace my 8 yr old 2.0 logitech desktop speaker (still working good) since i love watching movies. I was not disappointed when I heard the sound the first time, impressive! It has nice design and easy to set up. Now I'm more hooked on watching movies.

I had an older Logitech 5.1 system, that is 7 yrs old, that doesn't have audio inputs. So I bought this one, which has more watts and deeper bass output. I was skeptical because my older Logitech 5.1 has bigger speakers & I didn't think this would be as nice in sound quality. After setting up and listening to the audio quality, I have to say that this unit is MUCH Better than my older speakers. This system can get real loud and pump the bass too. I am very happy with my purchase and if your looking to add 5.1 to your PC then this is the affordable way to go.

I was very suprised at how well these work. The bass sounds great for such a small driver. Also since i live in an apartment the headphones jack comes in handy quite often at night. If you were wandering the headphones jack is not a pass through and is a powered jack so you can really crank up your headphones.

This speaker system represents a great value for the price when the intended application is take into consideration. I will caveat this with the fact that I got them on sale for $69.99 and used $50 worth of RewardZone points to bring the price down to $19.99. These are not really intended to be a home theater speaker system, hence the fact that they are categorized under "Computer Speakers" on the Best Buy website. As computer speakers though, they provide a nice, full sound to a workstation area when using it for video editing and production, watching movies or playing games. If you are looking to use these in your living room, you should look into a home theater system rather than computer speakers. These will however, blow you out of your typical office prison cell. I purchased these to provide a reasonable 5.1 sound system to an editing workstation to ensure my sound was up to my expectations before rendering the final product for use in a home theater environment using real audio gear. I haven't been disappointed in them yet for this intended purpose. The connections to the PC sound jacks are at 90 degree angles so they tend to get in the way of each other on most backplanes. I would have preferred straight plugs but have made due with the right angles. If you have a separate sound card that has a single line of jacks rather than the double stack of 3 jacks for most onboard sound cards then you should not have an issue. Overall, I would recommend these for anyone needing full 5.1 sound in a very small area (~6' x 6') at a reasonable price.

I use to have to old school 5.1s from logitech, think they were x513s or something i forget, but they sounded amazing and lasted well over 8 years before the sub blew on them. I decided to upgrade with the same yet updated speakers from logitech (being these z506s) and i do not regret my decision. They sound great, theyre loud and more clear than i imagined for plain $50-70 speakers. When i saw the sub as i was unpacking the new speakers i was a bit worried, the sub was real small compared to the older set i was replacing, however my worries were laid to rest when i heard it perform. Its loud deep and rich. Love these speakers and loving the fact bestbuy price matches. Very happy with this purchase after 1 month maybe a bit longer of ownership

I listen to Pandora from my PC. The sound is clear enough to turn up the volume and listen from other rooms in my house. I like that the Woofer has a separate volume control. I do not like a lot of Bass. I won't to hear all of the music not just a "booming" sound. The headphone jack is a nice accessory as well. Makes it easy to listen without disturbing the household.

Speakers have great sound and clarity. Great speakers for a great price.

So far I am very pleased with the performance of these speakers. The set up was easy with color coded inputs. Sound quality has been great and they have no problem being loud enough to fill the room. Their regular price is a great bargain for a 5.1 speaker system, and I managed to even get them on sale. Only odd part is that the speakers have little holes on the front that look like they'd hold the pegs of covering grilles. The main drivers only have a soft mesh above them, so be careful where you put them.

The first thing you have to remember is that this system is built for computers and close surround sound. Second, it is very inexpensive. These are not Bang Olufsen or even Bose, but I love the sound. At the extreme, the subwoofer gets lost in its own vibration, I have the system in my condo and it fills the living room with great sound.

I bought this product to act a home theater setup for my 4K tv. In that regard the product has performed admirably. The base through this unit is very impressive but you do have to tinker with the setting to avoid distortion at the upper end of the adjustment range. I drilled holes in my living room floor and bought some RCA extensions so that I could put two of the satellite speakers at the back end of the room behind the sofa and love seat. I have the center speaker and the other two satellite speakers set up in the usual locations below and either side of the TV respectively. I have the unit hooked to the TV via the 3.5 mm cable and the volume control on the TV controls the volume on the speaker setup. My TV has the option to enable "surround sound". When I do I get the full sound spectrum through all of the satellite speakers instead of more of the traditional surround sound only coming from the two rear satellite speakers. I paired this speaker system with the Insignia wireless surround system (on sale for $79 at Best Buy at the moment) to create a full 7.1 surround sound system. It sound incredibly immersive and truly amazing. I spent a good hour last night streaming Dolby video through Youtube last night including THX and Atmos. Sounds beautifully. I cannot wait to try the two 4K Blu Ray movies I just bought when I get home later.

It is a little work to set up the Logitech - Z506 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers system, but well worth the work. The included cables are surprising long to accommodate most setups. The system sound wonderful in my average size office. I paid only $50.00 for the entire system on sale...great value.

If your a gamer these are the ones your looking for!!! Diablo 3 sounds awesome with these directional speakers since you'll be able to hear which direction the enemy coming from. I'm not much for FPS games but it's very beneficial to have all these speakers if your not playing with headsets.

I was surprised by the sound out of these. The quality of the audio is just as good at higher volumes. Good bass out of the sub for movies and such. These were very easy to setup as well. No issue so far.

I looked at several speaker systems in the 30 to 100 dollar price range. This system had good specs for a good price. It was between this system and another Logitech system for 20 dollars less. For the money, the 506 system is a good buy.
