It's hard to believe this system can put out this much sound. The speakers are very clear, and the subwoofer really puts out some bass. It is funny to me how some reviewers expect to spend $200 and think the system should rock the entire house! If that was the case the product would always be sold out. As far as I know to do that you need an A/V receiver with separately bought speakers and at least one subwoofer! Get real. You are looking at $1000 at least. The surround sound systems that come with speakers are nowhere near as good as adding bigger speakers to a separate receiver. Anyway, for the price, I don't see how you could complain. Switching inputs is a breeze. All you do is turn on the signal you want to use. The sound from only 3 speakers really gets the job done. Is it going to get really loud in a huge garage or living room? No. But this is a computer speaker system. I am really surprised it's as good as it is. It's very good at home theater sound in a medium sized room. The Z623 is also very good but it doesn't have an optical cable input. You can get a digital to analog converter so you can use a TV or whatever you have with it too. I bought one and it was less than $20. The sound I am getting from my Z623 hooked to my TV with the converter is very good. It sounds digital like the Z625. In my opinion Logitech makes the best computer speakers for the money. Happy shopping!

I will start out by saying I am quite the audiophile so my standards are pretty in regard to sound and whatnot. I will say that if you are looking for great quality, high volume speakers then these are the ones you want. I purchased this for my work office and I am highly satisfied with the sound quality and the high volume these put out. The highs sounds great and the bass is quite plentiful. If you're looking for a nice "cheaper" sound system then look no further than this set, you can't go wrong with them.

If you're looking for speakers to use with your PC, these are it. I've been shopping around and came across these at Bestbuy. At first I was skeptical because the price vs what you get. These are a 2.1 audio system, but let me tell you they work great!
The audio from the 2 satellite speakers flow great, if you place them how you're supposed to. The bass is what sold me completely, the MF bass kicks! I was blown away from how this audio system performs. They are easy to use/connect. Controls are convenient on the right speaker; Power button and volume level knobs. They even have a bass level knob to individually adjust bass levels.
They are a wired system, however most great quality audio systems are. I have it connected to my PC using the provided audio optical cable, but there is a 3.5mm aux (provided in box) or RCA connection option. No cables provided for the RCA option. There is no Bluetooth, if that's a selling point, for me it wasn't.

I hate soundbars with the pairing issues and loss of sound quality from being wireless. These speakers remind me of movie theater sound. Very loud with clear highs and lows and strong warm bass. Best speakers ive found. Get a set instead of sound bar with a digital optical cable

I don't call myself an audiophile, but I have a pretty good ear for quality audio. So much that I got a Bose 700 soundbar and Bose 700 subwoofer combo for my living room, spending $1400. It was worth it though.
Then a year and half later I got these speakers for my home office. Initially I wasn't impressed, as I was so used to the sound quality I hear from my Bose set. I ended up returning them and buying the Bose companion 20 speakers, in the hope that Bose would live up to my expectations.
Alas that didn't happen and I missed the low end bass. Then I began to feel that perhaps returning the Logitech Z625 wasn't a good idea. And I got them back. Played then side by side with the Bose, and these beat the Bose Companion 20 quite easily, even in songs that didn't have a bass that the Bose couldn't handle. I am talking about overall clarity of the mids and highs. Yes, these matched and perhaps even bested the Bose companion 20 speakers, which are twice the price.
Remember, these speakers take some time to break in. If you want to experience the best these could offer, play these at least a couple of days before deciding, that is, play them for a good 4-5 hours to allow them to break in. And then you will see what they are worth.
In one of the user reviews on Amazon, the guy wrote that you need to keep the speakers so that they form a 60 degree angle between them and your listening position, and keep the woofer in the middle of the imaginary line connecting the two speakers. Allow enough space around the woofer to allow air to move freely. I did exactly that, and man, am I impressed!
Now that they have been broken in, honestly, I don't find much difference between these and my living room Bose system that cost me 1400 dollars! I am serious.
Don't think twice before purchasing them, and remember to give them a few hours of playing time to allow them to break in before deciding to keep them or return them. And try to maintain the position for the speakers and writer as I explained above. You will not be disappointed.

Great sounding speakers with huge presence. They're easily able to go way beyond what desktop speakers need to be capable of. I guess part of the THX deal is the movie theater feeling the sub gives, always there, always over-emphasized. If you find yourself with strange headaches while working and playing music, hit pause for a while and you might be able to see what I mean.
The fronts are full range with phase plugs for pretty crystalline and lively highs. The roll off between the fronts and the sub is interesting, as the "bass" knob is not a subwoofer control, it's more like the "Tone" knob we used to have on our cheap boom boxes in the 80s. As you adjust the Bass knob, you are adjusting the satellites as well as the sub. You can turn it all the way down for a pretty tame, wooden sound to try not to bother the neighbors. Thunderous and uncontrollable bass is available, there seems to be a point on the volume knob past 10 o'clock where these come alive. I would definitely not recommend these guys if you had neighbors you can hear, since you'll become the noisy one. You'll find sub-bass all over songs where you've never heard it before. This thing needs a knob for the sub!
I'm running these through a Sound Blaster Zx card via the optical output in an effort to try to tone down the bass, but that volume threshold on the right satellite is the only way I've found to be able to keep them tame enough not to bug everyone in the house. I really thought about returning them for a little bit, but decided I'm keeping them for those times when I really want to crank it, because when you do, it grabs you by the face and shows you what loud really means. They are not as sweet sounding or perfectly staged as the Bose Companion 5 set they are replacing, but with sound card adjustments, I'm able to customize the sound much more than I would with the USB connection of the Bose. It's like going from a Lincoln to a Shelby GT350, muscle car style speakers, so much power you'll likely never use it, but having that headroom makes them fun.

I’m really just thrilled to have some good speakers. For the longest time I used the crappy built in speakers on a computer monitor until it died horrifically. These were recommended to me by Best Buy when buying a replacement monitor and I had mild expectations for $200 speakers. I feel now as though they were worth every penny.
They can get LOUD. Really loud, with zero distortion. Loud enough that I’m pretty sure all my neighbors can enjoy what I’m listening to. I connected them to my PC via toslink which I think is fine for stereo sound with a sub. I’m not sure. It came with all kinds of cables for all the connectors it supports so don’t waste money buying any separate ones at BB. I’m no audiophile but my modest opinion is these speakers have great range and crisp sound and they get plenty loud.
I’m honestly just so very pleased with this set.

Literally the best desk speakers ive ever had the subwoofer is second to none in this price range. Only issue ive had so far is when talking to people on voice chat one of the tweeter makes sorta a vibrating sound when people talk but other than that both music and games sound like im at the movie theater with the thundering bass and clear highs that these speakers make. Amazing product and excellent for my use.

I've been using these speakers for about a month now, and they still have a good sound. They replaced 25 year-old Creative Labs 2.1 speakers, that didn't have tweeters, so they should sound better. I use them primarily for gaming and now hear some high frequency sound effects I didn't know were in the game. I use a Sound Blaster Recon 3D sound card and I really like the optical input capability of these. The cords are long enough and the power, volume, and bass knobs on the right speaker are very handy, and have a good quality feel. I wish the knobs had led indicators so I could see them in the dark, but I keep a small flashlight on my desk for that.
When you plug headphones into the jack on the right speaker the speakers go silent, the sound is redirected to the headphones, and the volume knob then controls the headphone volume. It doesn't sound anywhere near as good as plugging the headphones directly into the headphone jack on the back of the sound card, because the sound card amplifies the signal with a DAC specifically designed for headphones, whereas when you use the one on the speaker you are listening to the signal tailored for speakers, so it's quieter and less punchy.
Overall, very pleased and will likely keep these for the next 20 years. They also look good on the desk and, being dark gray, when I use low lighting, during game play, they are invisible.

The price is a steal, these are loud, clear, small form factor, base is deep loud and adjustable, very nice quality speakers.
I bought these for my new gaming PC build and they are wonderful. When I fire a gun or throw a grenade, in-game, I want to hear that base. The base is powerful and doesn't take up very much space. This thing is deeper, stronger, and smaller than any other I've used. This system offers a premium 2.1 sound and feel. I HIGHLY recommend. To get the best sound quality out of these, I highly recommend purchasing either ATMOS or DTS-X for headphones audio codex. It makes a world of difference.

I had a giant floorstanding speaker that was just taking up WAY too much room, so I replaced it with these and was really impressed with how close they were in sound quality. I can definitely notice a difference, but these are a fraction of the price, and a fraction of the size, so I absolutely prefer these. Also these are plug and play which is SO much more convenient than traditional speakers.

The Best PC Speakers for Under $200… Perio

I’ve had a set of Z625 speakers for over 7 years now and they always sounded amazing, but they where starting to look a little worn (I get a little to picky about that sometimes). So I decided to buy some new speakers, and just went with the Z625 model to get the optical input option. Plus BestBuy had it on sale for almost the same price as the Z623 model, so that made it a very easy decision. It can be very subjective when listening to music and playing video games, but with both optical cable and the analog cable connected to my PC sound PCIe card, the optical sound is noticeably improved over the analog sound. So a little food for though if your choosing between the Z625 and the Z623 models.

Bought these after owning a Z533 for about a year, and I have to say the quality beat my expectations
I'm more of a bass head and own 2 12 inch subwoofers in one of my vehicles, so I tend to be critical when it comes to quality bass.
And these speakers provide exactly that. The audio clarity is also very good, delivering every note very well, no distortion.
I just wish the high ends could be a bit louder out of box at the lower volumes because these can get very loud more than a quarter way that can be heard from the streets.
My verdict: this is probably one of the best purchases I have made at the store; Great sound, very good bass, good price.

The Z625 exceeded my expectations as a bass enthusiast. It delivers powerful, deep bass without sacrificing audio clarity. The sound is crisp and detailed. While the high-end could be stronger at lower volumes, the overall sound is impressive. This is a great value for the price.
