I had a hard time finding the headset I REALLY wanted until I found the Zone 305. When searching for a headset for work, I kept running into the same thing over and over. The headsets I found would be: - Mostly for gaming. But for me, and for work, are too big, heavy and too gaudy. Even for gaming I don't want to wear those ugly 20lb gaming cans - Headsets for work that are small, light and subtle... but mostly all rely on Bluetooth for wireless or are wired. I don't want Bluetooth wireless, I specifically wanted a wireless headset that uses a dedicated dongle I KNOW those are some specific 'wants' and didnt think I'd find what I was looking for until I finally found the Logitech 306 WITH dongle. (They sell a SKU that does NOT include a dongle, so make sure you buy the right one if you need a dongle). The dongle is USB-c which is good for me because its replacing a wired headset that was using the usb-c port. It also comes with a usb-a adapter in the box. With the dongle, its just plug and play all day. The Teams button is nothing special, just a macro that literally launches or brings forward the Teams app. Lifting the mic up will mute, pulling it back down will unmute. Works flawlessly so far. As far a sound.... I can hear everything clearly and people can hear me. Media things like music isnt the greatest, but thats expected. Charges via usb-c, battery seems to last. This particular set from Logitech with the dongle isn't really supposed to be a 'consumer' model. From logitech's site, its mainly marketed and sold direct to businesses. Best Buy is practically the only online retailer I could find to buy it at retail price. I guess Logitech figures consumers are just going to bluetooth everything. A dongle will preserve battery life, is more stable and better range. Summary: Its truly wireless either by BT or dongle; its not a giant neon-glowing monstrosity with its own zip code; every feature/function seems to work very well. Definitely would recommend.
