Amplifies background noise

The mic and connection are okay but once you join a call, the background noise suddenly gets amplified and it’s incredibly distracting. I’ve tried to see if it’s a setting but its not. I knew they wouldn’t be noise cancelling but I didn’t think they would do the opposite. I’ve passed my return window so I’ll just have to buy a different pair. I do not recommend these to anyone that uses Teams or Zoom.
