The new Lowepro Fastback BP250 AW II is greatly improved over the original model. It is larger in size, made with better materials, uses higher quality zippers, and comes with additional compartments for a 15-inch laptop and tablet. Camera storage can easily hold a DSLR (cropped sensor) with lens attached with room for two more lenses. There are also smaller slots for accessories like battery and chargers and memory cards. The top compartment has great versatility with room for a cell phone, headphones, books and other travel items. Inside there is a zippered compartment to secure your passport, currency and other important documents. The zippers have been upgraded and their eyelets have enough clearance to support a TSA-approved lock. An all-weather cover is integrated into the bottom of the backpack. There is an attachment for a tripod and the backpack can be secured to your luggage. Fully-loaded the backpack feels well-balanced and the padding of the straps provide good comfort. There is also room for a water bottle or travel umbrella. Aside from the Lowepro brand name on the front, the Fastback BP 250 AW II looks like any other backpack.

I pack all of my drone gear for quick grab and go and future airline carry-on in this backpack. There is a large top compartment for your personal day items. Down below is all business. When I have it loaded for long hikes, the hip belt takes all the weight off my shoulders. I fly the compact DJI Mavic Air that folds to camera size so everything fits in padded adjustable compartments. I pilot with an iPad and edit video with laptop so I like the divider in their compartment to separate them. High quality build.

A trip to Africa with bag size and weight limitations had me consider a new combined camera/laptop bag. I did some research and found the Lowepro Fastpack 250 would offer the things I needed and at a good price. It has a nice space for a single DSLR and a couple lenses, power converters, cords, etc. The top compartment offers a deep chamber to carry wireless headphones and miscellaneous items. Back sleeve for the laptop and iPad. It's well designed overall but could be better. For example, the rain flap over the camera portion is basically useless beyond a rain flap. A zipper on the inside of the flap would be a great place to toss receipts or cables. I also found that the side access for the camera was handy but the zipper always seemed to be in the wrong spot... it was necessary to fidget with it all the time to get what I needed. The zipper didn't allow the flap covering the camera compartment to open far enough to keep the flap from falling back over. Also, failing to fully zip or not considering zipper placement could allow contents to spill out. I lost a couple small things that way. The bag size also didn't offer a lot of back support. It can hold a lot of gear. Fully loaded, my bad weighed nearly 25lbs-camera, laptop, battery backs, wireless headphones, etc. It doesn't sag under the weight but it relies on the shoulder straps to carry the load. I've had camping packs that did more to support the weight. Spend some time getting those shoulders and waist adjustments made before your trip. Overall, it's a good, roomy bag that can be super useful. It has some minor shortcomings-served me well enough but I've to admit, I might try to find something a little more finessed for the next go-round.

I have been carrying this bag every day for over a month. Comfortable to carry. Sturdy construction. Weather resistant with additional rain cover built in. I carry a Canon 80D with the battery grip and the 24-70 lens attached. It fits nicely in the side access section of the bag, allowing quick access to the camera. I also carry several lenses and other accessories which have plenty of room in the adjustable gear section of the bag. The most impressive part of the bag... and one of the most important features to me, is the separate, zippered compartment for a laptop and tablet. You can access those items without exposing the camera or gear. My only complaints are minor. The suspended tablet slot in the bag is too small to hold a 10" tablet if it has any type of case or sleeve on it. A tablet does fit in the laptop space with a laptop if the laptop isn't real thick. The tripod strap and the way it allows movement of the tripod when in transit, could be designed to hold the tripod tighter into the side of the bag. It works great for a monopod, but could be better for a tripod. Overall, the bag performs great and carries everything I need.

This camera bag is perfect for my Canon 5D camera. Along with camera there is enough space for the flash light and another lens. I find the ability to access camera from the side without opening the upper pockets to be very useful. Three is a pocket for water bottle. I would have liked outside strapping to carry a camera tripod.

I got this right before a trip hacking out west. It worked very well carrying 3 lenses and the camera, and had plenty of room to stash other important items freeing up my hands to assist in the hike. The camera pocket can be assembled to allow you to quickly unzip just the side and grab out the camera, which was nice.

This bag has plenty of room to carry a reasonable amount of gear. In my case, an APS-C DSLR, 18-200 zoom, 11-18 wide angle zoom, 85mm prime, plus 4 filters, battery charger, extra batteries, lens cleaner...and a still a bit of room to spare. This all fit at the bottom, leaving the top compartment for snacks etc. In fact, my MeFoto Backpacker tripod fit in the top compartment, leaving the outside pocket available for a water bottle. The only nit I have to pick is the shoulder straps material is a little rough. Other backpacks I own have a more comfortable strap, but it's not a deal killer.

I'm a relentless researcher when it comes to bags, and this one has unexpectantly become one of my favorites, (if not my favorite). With its multiple compartments, handy organization & comfortable padding, it safely holds a significant amount of gear comfortably. In the bottom compartment alone I'm able to carry a Canon Mark III 5d with an attached 70-200, 35mm, 100mm, 2 600EX II-RT Speedlights, and an LCD light. On the outside bottom flap - an ND fliter, in the top compartments: a small purse, a large phone, a hard drive, and other bits and pieces (like keys, pens, sunglasses, extra camera battery & battery charger). And last but not least, a 15" Macbook in back. This seems pretty phenomenal considering its relatively small size and level of comfort - particularly since I'm a short woman, and not particularly strong. For times when I need to carry any more equipment than the aforementioned, I use a roller bag instead as it would be just too much weight to manage on my shoulders in any bag. I would recommend at this point without reservation.

We took this backpack to carry our new Nikon DSLR camera with us while at Walt Disney World. We needed enough space to also carry our day supplies for two people while in the parts. This was the perfect size bag with assorted pocket sizes to stay organized. We loved the water protected cover that comes tucked in the base. It was fast and easy to pull out during those short Florida storms and water rides. Was also easy to put away without taking up much room. When the crowds were heavy we even used it as a theft deterrent. The bag was also very comfortable to carry around all day. Only down side was that because there are so many pockets it was a bit of a hassle to get through security everyday.

I bought this bag to protect a new Canon 70D camera body, two lenses, a flash, several batteries, and some memory cards, along with assorted accessories like battery chargers, etc. I also wanted something that would protect my iPad when I could not lock it away in the hotel safe during the days. I had read reviews both here and other sites of bags that did not hold up over time, that either had the fabric rip, or zippers break. This bag held its own and then some. I was a little more rough with the bag than I care to admit, yet it protected my gear perfectly, all zippers returned home in working order, and the fabric of the bag looks as if it were brand new. The bag also has a large area to carry other items (non-camera related, if needed). At times I had a jacket stuffed in it, and other times I had my noise cancelling headphones, and things I would need on a plane or bus. The strap that would be used to keep a tripod attached to the bag was especially useful for me to hold my airplane neck-pillow while navigating the airports. The only negative (if you can call it that), is that I wish the documentation were clear as to where the protective "rain hood" was for this bag. It took me a while to figure it out that it was under the bag, and not fully detachable (presumably to prevent it from being misplaced/lost), and in its own little pocket. Overall, this is a very nice bag with many possibilities. I would highly recommend anyone looking for this size bag to get it.

This is an excellent camera bag. It has just enough room for my lenses and my Canon T7i. The laptop storage is the perfect size for a 15" laptop (I'm using the Macbook Pro). The tri-pod holder works well, but you have to wrestle with it a bit to get it out. Overall carrying the bag on your back is very comfortable but as one might expect, your back will get pretty warm if you're out hiking on a summer day. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. Solid padding to protect your gear.

Allows for easy access to camera while on the go. Padded shoulder straps and back panel make it great for long days exploring or traveling. Convenient upper pocket allows for stowing extra cables or a jacket. Plenty of room for a full size DSLR plus 2-3 lenses. One stop shop for a bag that can carry everything needed for a trip (DSLR, lenses, cables, chargers, laptop, tablet, tripod, etc). The all weather cover is a great addition for when the whether unexpectedly changes!

I do a lot of run and gun shoots, and this bag fits the bill. There is plenty of room for my GH5, 3-4 lenses, a Ronin-S and my audio equipment. The material is lightweight and water-resistant. It's pretty new, so I wonder how durable it will be over the long haul. Biggest complaint is that the weight feels like it can be distributed too low, so my back tends to hurt after use. All in all a good value for money, though.

This bag allows me to head out on a wildlife cruise or sailing shoot with a single bag. I can fit a D500 or D800 with an attached 18-300 or 70-200 a couple of extra lenses or flash if needed, filters, batteries, etc., an attached Black Rapid Yeti strap. I carry an iPad and a couple of hats in the laptop/tablet compartment and there is still plenty of room for a 15" MAC. The top compartment holds a fleece or Thinktank rain-guard plus a full-sized pair of binoculars, glasses, sunscreen and could hold more. The height and zipper location are perfect for reaching down and removing the binoculars without lifting it off the deck. Under the flap on the back is another compartment large enough to hold-rain sleeves or a couple of DVD sized items plus the flap can be used to lash a windbreaker. The lashing straps could be longer in my opinion but I am able to fit an XL sized rain jacket/windbreaker securely. There is a water bottle/tripod leg pocket that fits a good sized bottle very securely. Haven't tried the rain cover but it's there. The strap system is also great. I have worn it for a couple of hours, fully loaded, and not been uncomfortable. Up ladders, down stairs, in cramped quarters - the bag is very stable and the chest cross-strap works well. Another nice feature is that the straps can be fully tightened and lashed flush against the back so that there is nothing for anyone else to trip on when you need to place the pack on the deck/floor between your legs while shooting. There are a few weak points: It's possible but not easy to remove the camera while supporting the bag by one strap but this is not really a sling...it's a large camera pack. It really could use a few more lashing points for gear or preventing it from moving around. The most serious weakness, IMHO, is that the adjustable foam dividers are a little too long and can't be shortened, there aren't enough of them and they are oddly-designed, and there aren't enough velcro points on the sides so the camera and lens just doesn't fit quite right. I worked-around it but a pro camera users might find it difficult to close the zipper. It's not an out of the park hit, but it's still a home run.

Love the size, pockets for all my gear, and the larger pouch for personal stuff away from the lenses. Not a fan of the weight. Heavy even when empty (that's why I gave 4 starts), other than that pretty great.

This backpack is perfect for my Canon 80D with an attached Tamron Lens SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Lens; and I still have room my my Sony Alpha and 5 lenses and other accessories. It is well built and is not too big or small - It also has a convenient laptop holding area with enough padding for a chromebook, or a apple laptop. @@@@@@@@ nothing greater than a 15 inch notebook.

You can haul your gear with plenty of room for other items . Bag has shoulder and hip straps for secure comfortable fit while hiking or travel for a shoot. Protects your gear well. Mostly it doesn't stand out like all the regular camera bags. Keeps your high priced camera out of site from any thieves looking to come up on some gear .
