But to keep it simple this product is fantastic, well built, reliable set (I have had it 6 month) that is comfortable, sounds great, with a long battery life. The problem is it has connectivity issues with the receiver. Sound will discount out of nowhere at times and will become annoying. this was the issue in both pairs I have owned. If they ever fix this issue in a new model it would be perfect, because this may be the only wireless option for both consoles (cable needed for xbox controller) using the dedicated audio port in the back of HDTV and consoles (Ps slim does not have a dedicated audio port but is still compatible through other means with the headset) I would recommend buying this headset for that reason. but with caution. (longer review here) If there was a 3 and half star option I would rate it that. This headset has a strong and quality build, much better design then many of the Turtle beaches I have had in the past. The volume at times seem very loud and vibrant and other times softer, also sometimes the sound volume can not be adjusted at all, but that goes into the connection problems i'll dive into more late. depending on the size of your ear it well rest easy inside the headphones or just touch them, either way they are Very comfortable for long gaming sessions. It has a good long lasting battery however it has to gauge how much juice is left until it needs to charge by not turning on anymore. This mic comes is detachable which is fine, unless you lose it of course, the chat audio is very good. sound for chat and music are adjust by rotating the two large circle LS symbol on the the headphone cup. So now the real reason why purchased this headset and that is because it Xbox and Ps4 compatible using a audio cable that can connect to each console red audio port in the back (i dont know why I cant remember of the name of this cable or port). Meaning you can use the headset wireless for gaming on the Ps4 (you have to register the device in the settings) or using the included audio cable to connect to xbox controller. So many headset work on one console or the other and more importantly do not use audio port on the back of the console just a usb dongle. this allows this headset to anyway you see fit. The set up and connecting to your device was simple and easy. which unfortunately leads to main reason for the 3 star rating. Everything on this device works well except the quality of the connection to the usb receiver (USBR) . The USBR is a poor quality and essentially has no buttons. it connects auto when holding power button on the headphones when the chat headset is plugged into your tvs usb port. and it has to be the tv usb port. plugging the USBR into my ps4, xbox, pc or powerplug connection to a wall outlet all failed to work for me to get sound to my device. I have no idea why, none. also while gaming the audio would cut in and out for no reason sometimes when gaming, other times it works perfectly. Lastly the connection would become distorted and make loud noises . when that happens you have to reset the USBR and headphones which requires and i kid you not a paper clip, which i did not have and had to buy. I had nothing small enough to hit the reset button on both devices. I had to this 4 times in the 6 month I have ha this headset. If it did not have the connection issues this headphone would be the perfect value of price, quality, performance and versatility. But since the main thing you are going to use it for can be a problem I have to give 3 out 5. I also returned the 1st headphones i purchased thinking it was defective but the 2nd pair has the exact same issues. Maybe i have too many wireless signals in my room (a problem i never had with any turtle beaches) or something else I don't know. no issue was resolved by contacting customer service or through my own research. In the end this headset maybe your only option if you want a wireless headphone for both consoles. (sorry for any grammar issues and the long review but sometimes you need all the details before buying a product)

Can hear detailed sound all around me in games love them for the price. But one con is they start to go in and out sound wise when the battery is running low. But other then that love the purchase.

Easy to set up, easy to Use an good quality.......

The LS31 is great! Very comfortable, premium materials, and great sound! I've used this headset with both my PS4 Pro and Xbox One X and it's very easy to set up and change between systems. The USB Base station is just a USB dongle (very small/easily portable) and the on ear controls are great as well. This is incorrectly listed as a wired headset, as it is fully wireless on PS4 and PC, but requires the chat cable to the controller for XBox. The thing I like the most with this headset is that it works so effortlessly between multiple platforms. I like the earcups better on the LS35X because of the cooling gel used in the construction, but this would eliminate the need to purchase multiple headsets. Another great product from LucidSound!
