When the Gamecube launched many people were disappointed that a mainline Mario game did not launch alongside it. Instead the 'Mario' launch game for the platform was Luigi's Mansion, a very different style of game than a platformer. Instead it was much closer in game play style to traditional PC adventure game. The sequel on the 3DS was also a great game, but didn't feel as thoroughly polished and suffered from *too* much content, where the game began to feel repetitive and outstay its welcome.
Luigi's Mansion 3 strikes a good balance between the two prequels. It's certainly longer than the original but offers much more variety than the sequel but doesn't overstay its welcome. The ghosts have so much personality and all the characters are fantastically animated. My only issue is that the addition of a multiplayer yet again feels like and odd choice for this franchise, but it certainly doesn't feel like any other part of the game was sacrificed to add it.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is just amazing and just like every AAA Nintendo game, it just shines in every way on the Switch. Looks beautiful, it's very fun and the story is funny and great. Control mechanics are a little different than before but still feels so satisfying when trapping ghost's.

If spooky, cartoony, fun and charming action, full of puzzles and mystery is your cup of tea - drink no further! If you loved the first and second one, jump right in. If you didn't play those, go and play them, then jump right in. This is a perfectly balanced treat for any fan of the cutesy horror, that perhaps only Nintendo can deliver. An absolute joy of a game, you should not dare miss.

Never played the gamecube version, after playing this game I'm starting to like Luigi more than his bro. The gameplay like nintendo fashion, easy to pick up and play. My nephew picked it up fast without me telling him one instruction. Good Job Nintendo

Absolutely love the graphics and it is a great game for younger kids to play. The story is pretty easy to follow and it’s a nice to play as Luigi. Overall, it is worth looking at for all gamers of different ages.

I had never played any of the previous Luigi's Mansion games so I didn't know what to expect. After talking with a friend and researching online I realized it looked like my kind of game. And it most definitely is! The graphics, game play and story are all great!

The controls take some getting used to but after you do it is a great game. Really have to do some thinking in solving some puzzles so parents may need to help younger players. Really glad I purchased this game, it’s a nice addition to my Nintendo switch games

After playing the original many years ago, I was skeptical that they could recapture what made the first game so fun, but they did it! Luigi is as charming as ever and the story is great! The graphics are cute, and the mechanics are simple!

Its slow to start and I knew nothing about this game buying it. I thought it was the typical Mario game. I actually hated it at first and figured it would not get played again by my son and then he played it a bit more and then when Gooigi came in it got really good because we could both play! Gooigi is one of the best parts of this game allowing us to take turns finding stuff. We have put almost 20 hours into this game now over the last few weeks! It does get a little repetitive when you get on the higher floors but each floor is different and CHALLENGING at times. We had to look up online a few times to figure out what in the world we were suppose to do. We still havent finished the game because we keep going back to lower floors to find stuff we missed which is kind of fun because you dont just beat a floor and then you never return. There are many times you go back into the basement to do tasks. Fun game!

I really wanted to give this a 5 star but I just can't I love the Luigi's Mansion Series but this one isn't as great as Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon however it is an improvement from the original Luigi's Mansion. The third one didn't really feel as scary as it did goofy while trying to have a somewhat scary vibe to it and I know I know it's a nintendo game rated for everyone but Dark Moon honestly felt creepy and eerie to me while also being funny and silly because it was luigi as the hero not mario and I just loved playing it. Now don't get me wrong 3 is great it's a good game and I love Polterpup And the hotel asthetic is great but I was hoping that I would love this more than dark moon but I don't dark moon will always be what I think about when I hear luigi's mansion 4/5 simply because it's a more poor version of dark moon. I think it might be time to end the Luigi's Mansion Series because it's starting to get repetitive in a bad way where it's not getting better it's getting worse but I think luigi needs to be in the spotlight a whole lot more like Super Luigi Bros U for the Wii U except they don't start with Mario Bros U and make Luigi Bros U a special edition Luigi needs his own mario game without mario and if you've read to the end thanks for reading I hope you liked my opinion

My son has been in love with Mario Bros since he was 3. He's now 11. He was able to get through the levels pretty easily. I boss on the last level was pretty difficult but I think it makes for a great game. Good graphics. Can't go wrong with Luigi's Mansion!

I absolutely love this game. The graphics seem to just jump out of the screen. The colors themselves are so vibrant. This game will seem a little difficult for a casual grad school player. My wife and I haven't had any issues ourselves.

I was worried the game would be unable to live up to the hype the reviews generated but was I happy it did not. It is fun for the whole family as it is great to see Luigi finally get his chance to shine. A must have for all Nintendo switch users!

I’m always struggling for 2 player games that don’t feel like a chore. Luigis mansion is silly, fun and the puzzles are engaging.
The feel is a little clunky but it actually contributes to the charm of the game.
Play this with your SO. It’s worth it.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is the best in the series. They gameplay ot top notch, the story is great, and the graphics are excellent. This game is a pure joy to play, especially with 2 people in story mode. Overall it's one of my favorite Switch games.

Another solid entry in the series. Sometimes the controls are a bit annoying but I have felt that way with a lot of switch games. Moving to my pro controller and I do not notice this as much
I would recommend this to a friend

This game is very addictive! I completed the levels within a week of purchase. I was a huge fan of the first game, and I did not enjoy the second game. I was afraid this one would be a let down like the second one, but this is by far the best in the series.

I purchased this game for the family to play. Its a fun game but it is a bit difficult to beat some of the levels. Not a great game for young kids.
I guess i was expecting something a bit different.

Excellent gameplay, charming story and incredibly fun mechanics. All 8 abilities I've seen so far in the game seem like they'd be played off for cheap gimmicks but are interwoven regularly and creatively into the puzzles and collectible searching.
