Customers are saying

Customers admire Luigi's Mansion for its engaging gameplay, praising it as a top-tier title in the series and highlighting the fun, immersive experience, especially the enjoyable story and added features. The portability of the 3DS version and the enhanced 3D visuals also receive significant praise. However, some users express reservations about the control scheme, finding it somewhat unconventional.

Luigi's Mansion plays great on the 3DS, especially the New 3DS and 2DS with the directional nub. Visually with 3D it looks good and the addition of a two player boss battle mode (with one cartridge) is a nice feature.

Luigi’s Mansion proves that there’s still life in the 3DS, even as the Switch seems positioned to become its replacement. This version is so much more than a look at a title from that past. We’re getting to play a lost piece of Nintendo’s history; a game that was originally designed for 3D, but was never fully realised due to the limitations of the technology at the time. After nearly two decades, we're playing Luigi's Mansion as it was originally intended, and it is as fun now as it was when the GameCube launched. If you’ve never played it before, you should definitely pick up this version. If you already have, the added functionality in the 3DS port provides more than enough reason to pick up the Poltergust one more time, although if you're one of those people who found the 2001 original disappointingly shallow (yes, such people actually exist), then this update is unlikely to change your mind, even with the welcome introduction of 3D support. This was one of my absolute favorite games as a kid, so when I heard Nintendo was releasing this I bought a DS. Great decision. It's just like the original and some added content for co-op! The c-stick controls took me a minute to figure out, it's motion controlled instead of an actual button, but the up down left right triggers also work but not as smoothly. Great game over all!

Awesome game that hits that nostalgia itch. Plus, with some more things added, it's more of a remake than a port. Only issue I have is trying to adjust the camera without the C-stick can be annoying.

I bought this game as a gift for someone and they can't stop raving about it. Definitely considering buying a copy for myself. If you played Dark Moon then this game is right up the same alley.

I bought this game for my 8-year-old daughter, and she really enjoys it. She typically likes playing Pokemon or Animal Crossing games, or wandering around in open-world games like Zelda. I was happy to see she likes going through the mansion and zapping ghosts, it definitely has kept her attention and interest after playing it over the last few weeks.

Loved playing this on my Nintendo 3DS New XL, it shows just how the device isn't going anywhere and how the games are just great overall! Nice port for such a good game. Ran smooth and fast!

Classic Luigi’s Mansion reborne on the 3ds. Was a classic 17 years ago and is still a fun game for everyone. Catching ghosts and exploring is a trip. A good send off for the 3ds family

Having played both Luigi's Mansion games, I certainly enjoy the original much more. The mansion is so much more interesting to explore. The ghosts are more fun to catch. And the 3D is great!

Beautiful and fun romp. Great ghost hunting fun for the Halloween season. Sometimes makes you think to capture the certain ghosts. Well worth a play but a little short compared to Dark Moon.

This is a port of the classic game Luigi's Mansion for the Nintendo GameCube. It's even more fun this time around in 3D! The new map feature helps with not getting lost. A must play title!
