I would not recommend this straightener. It does not get hot even on the hottest setting. I wasn't even able to return it because the inside of the store never opened due to the pandemic.

Overall it's a decent small flat iron. I don't think it gets as hot as what you set it at, since I do my Chi at 380 and when I put this one at 400 my hair doesn't feel quite as hot. It does a decent job of being a hair iron, though. The travel case is much too big for a travel case - takes up way too much room in a suitcase. Good that it comes with the silicone sleeve, as you'll probably just throw the iron in with the charging cable, versus putting things in the case and taking along the plug adapter (this is rather big adapter) and stand when you're traveling, especially if you're using this to take to the gym and get ready there. This would be a good iron to plug in at home and throw in your bag if you workout near or at work and then get ready away from home. I'm able to use it twice between charging. I would recommend that you charge it at night and then take it with you charged each day. The stand is nice (once you figure out the plug needs clipped in to the base, so it doesn't push the plug out of the base when you plug it in LOL). The plates aren't as large as a regular iron, but hey, it's a travel iron. The springs in mine aren't as springy after two weeks of use, though...I sometimes have to help it open as it's slow or doesn't want to quite open back up all the way after a swipe, which is rather frustrating. I also don't like that it doesn't remember the heat setting I had it on (you have to set that each time you use it), but maybe that's a safety thing. I'd recommend it if you can get it on sale. The price is a little steep. I think it needs to come with a second smaller case for just the iron and the cable/wall wart at that price, at least. It works to straighten your hair and it's great to not have a cord in the way.

Portable iron with all the perks of a plug in

As a hairstylist I was excited to try this product. It’s a full size flat iron but wireless, rechargeable & portable. I found it a bit large for travel as the case it comes in is very nice but quite large as is the iron itself. It comes with an a/c adapter charger & an adapter for use in other countries. I like that it is a full size iron & gets very hot up to 430 degrees, it charges quickly & I’ve used it about 5 min for 4 days & still holding a charge. It reaches the temperature you select quickly also & the screen turns from blue to green when desired temperature is reached. It comes with a stand & a silicone cover so you can put it away safely while still warm. A switch locks it in place & opens the iron. The plates look copper but are titanium. The only thing I don’t like about it is the temperature control buttons are right where your hand is to hold it so it’s very easy to constantly keep changing the temperature.. I just have to get use to it & hold it higher than normal. I’d also use a smaller case if your traveling & have limited space. Other than those two things I love it & it’s supposed to be for touch up only but with a 40-45 min. maximum charge limit you can probably do a whole head if your quick about it or use a lower temperature.

    Digital temp-Dual Voltage-Rechargeable. Perfect!

I wanted a dual voltage flat iron because I travel a lot. Being rechargeable and thus not having to worry about a cord during use is a bonus feature. In the box you will find the flat iron and its various components in an elegant case. The case has perfectly sized molded indentions covered in what appears to be a microfiber material to hold the various pieces: Flat Iron with Titanium plates and a silicone heat-resistant slide-on protector, Charging Stand, Power Cord, and Universal Adapter. Adapter: The flat iron comes with a universal plug adapter for use in other countries. The input voltage is 110-240VAC, 50/60Hz. The max power is 110V-660W/230V-1380W. It comes with 2 fuses. One is a spare. The spare fuse has its own slot in the adapter so you won’t lose it. According to the manual, the adapter can also be used for other devices/appliances such as cell phones, digital cameras, MP3 players, small travel hair dryers, etc. There is a sample list in section 5.2 of the manual, along with precautionary instructions telling you to make sure your device can be used with an adapter. One feature I love is the digital temperature display so that you can get the exact temperature you need for your hair. A little bit of Internet searching will help you determine what that is. The temperature range is 200 to 430 degrees. It can be used on natural or color-treated hair, but not on synthetic hair. To use: Charge it first. It will not work unless it has at least a 50% charge. Mine arrived with enough charge to try it out, but I went ahead and charged it completely before using on my hair the first time. To charge the flat iron, make sure the power is off, then either place the power cord into the bottom of the charging stand and then place the flat iron into the charging stand, or you can just plug the power cord directly into the flat iron. Remove the silicone sleeve on the top before heating it up. Use the power switch to turn it on and use the plus and minus buttons to select your temperature. It can take up to 2.5 minutes to heat up to the hottest setting. Unlock the locking switch on the bottom of the flat iron so that you can open it. Completely charged, you will be able to use the flat iron for about 40 to 45 minutes on the highest heat setting. After use, lock it back in a closed position. For travel or for placing in a purse or bag, replace the silicone sleeve over the top to protect other items. I keep that on when not in use since it is a handy place to store it so it won’t get lost. To clean, when it is cool use a damp cloth and then wipe dry. I tried 340 degrees for my first attempt and I was able to produce crimps and curls with the flat iron as I was testing different methods of use. Then I re-straightened that same hair to remove the crimps so I can attest that it works well. I ended up putting a volumizer product in my hair and then used the flat iron by pulling the hair straight up starting near the root to help give it volume, then curving the ends slightly under and toward my jaw-line to produce the style I wanted. It worked well and the end result was what I wanted. I was very impressed with the overall ease of use. My favorite feature is the digital preciseness of the temperature. I have never had a digital temperature on a flat iron and my other flat irons seemed to be either too cool or too hot, so I love this feature.

In the box is a case, flat iron with a silicone cover, stand, wall plug for charging and an all in one portable universal plug mechanism. In this plug mechanism, there are different types of adaptors for when you travel overseas or out of the country. Pros Case-it feels durable and the outer parts are wipeable. It also feels like a hard shell. Flat iron-I am a biracial woman with thick naturally curly hair and it is hard for me to find flat irons that will get hot enough and completely straighten my hair. This flat iron is amazing because its wireless and with it being wireless it still get up to 430 degrees. The best part of it all for me is that I have finally been able to try one pass straightening. Normally with other flat irons, i have to pass through five to six times to get my hair truly straight and now, only one pass! I thought that the buttons being on the top would be in the way but the way it is designed, I had no problems at all. Keep in mind that this is a travel, on the go flat iron, so this wouldn’t replace your normal bigger plate flat iron. But I think that this would be a good supplement to add some waves or curls, or touchup a recent straightening. It feel like the buttons are sitting in the flat iron and not on top of the flat iron. I also love the open and close toggle on the flat iron as well, you just flip the switch. Another good part, NO MORE WIRES/CORDS/PLUGS. I only need to plug it up when the flat iron needs charging. I also really love the silicone glove for the heated part of the flat iron. I turned on the flat iron to the highest setting and after 15-20 minutes, I turned off the flat iron and put on the glove. After a few minutes, I touched the silicone glove and it was still kinda of cool, amazing! The Stand and the universal plug/adaptor-this is by far one of the best parts of the accessories. I say this because it is a charging stand and no more laying the flat iron on my bathroom sink. It is also much easier for the flat iron to stand then to lay down also. The universal plug/adaptor is awesome because it provides three adaptors and fuses. Cons So far, I have not found anything negative about this flat iron and accessories. I would highly recommend this product to friends and family.

This flat iron kit is pretty nice. It includes a power adapter for when you travel out of the US. It takes a few minutes to heat up but once it does it works well. Straightens hair just like it should. This would make a neat gift for someone who really feels like they need a flat iron for traveling. The cordless part is nice, no tangling the cord anywhere or wrapping it up to put away. The case is a nice little organized box to store the iron, stand, adapter and power cord. The only issue I have found is that it does take a few minutes to heat up, the screen does show you the temperature changing which is a good feature. Overall, it's a nice flat iron.

I love the idea of a wireless device but this just doesn’t work well. My 10 year old Chi is still the best one I’ve used. Returning it today. I gave it about a month to see if I could get used to the low powered device but it just takes too long to do my hair.

This is a nice product to use daily and for traveling! The zippered case it comes in is strong yet a little large and takes up a lot of space. Out of the box it had a little charge so I could use it for about 10 mins for 2 days, then I had to charge it. The charge lasts for about 7 days depending on how long you actually use it. It will vary with usage. There is a converter for international travel and a nice stand to use if just using in the bathroom. This flat iron is gentle on hair and I am able to get lift in the root area without a crimp line and also flatten the ends of my hair. I have used the 350 temp for my hair and it seems to be gentle enough that I am not burning the ends. It is a little heavier than my old flat iron and takes a few uses to get used to the weight and length of the iron. I also like the protective cover that comes with it.

This cordless rechargeable hair straightener is perfect for everyone that is always traveling, going on road trips and weekends getaways like me. So compact and convenient. When I first opened the box I thought it was kinda small and would not be good enough to style my curly hair, but I was completely wrong! This little thing can get pretty hot so you can really style your hair. And because it comes with a small heat-proof silicone sleeve, it is also perfect to just throw it in your purse for quick touch-ups. It came in a beautiful travel case, but what really impressed me was the world adapter with two USB ports. Simply amazing! + the design is stunning! Love the matte black with rose gold details... Super recommend if you want gorgeous hair anywhere!

The portability of this unit, as well as the accessories and lack of a cord, make this something that I will need to start bringing with me on any future trips. The curved edge gives you the ability to curl in addition to the straightening benefits of the device itself. This device is sized perfectly for travel and the only feature I feel is missing is the battery life indicator, but overall it is something I am happy to have in my collection.

    Lunata travel styler

Just pulling it out of the package, it's impressive. The box opens up to show the bag containing all the parts of the styler, in an attractive, black travel case with the Lunata logo on it in gold. It looks like it will protect it while traveling as well as keep it all together. This product is really well made and designed, and seems like it will last a long time. This comes with the case, the styler, the charging cord, a silicone sleeve, a stand, and an 'world use adapter', which allows for charging in multiple countries. The styler is black with gold plates, and has a nice feel to it. Using it is easy. The instruction manual includes basic information on safety and maintaining the device, but not really on use. Because this is meant for travel, not the main styling tool, the expectation is that if you have this, you already know how to use one, and are in the habit of styling your hair with similar tools. Even though it's meant for touch ups or styling away from home, it does a such a great job of straightening or putting in loose curls in a short time. It recommends that you have hair that's already styled, but it would still work if you were on a trip and it's the only tool you brought along. It is very easy to get started. Push the button to turn on, set the temperature, and it heats up quickly to the selected temperature. For me, it reached that temperature faster than the time it said it would take. Flip the switch to unlock it, and then start using. It took minutes for me to straighten my hair. Mine isn't really long, so it would have taken longer with more hair to manage. I also put in some loose curls, and it worked well for that too. I put it in the sleeve while it was still hot, which is a really nice option. I didn't want to sit the styler down without it. I also have used the base in addition, but like that I can put the sleeve on for taking it with me in my bag, and keeping it . I found nothing to dislike about any part of this item, or the process of using it.

This set is great for traveling. Having a cordless flat iron is everything. Easy to store. No more having to roll up my cord around my flat iron to take on trips or even at home. Takes up less space. Everything all in one pouch. Looks stylish. Takes about a min to heat up. Good for touch ups. I will still use one of my corded flat irons when I am trying to take my time with my hair and get a sleek straight style. Since this flat iron last about 35-50 min on a charge if you have a lot of hair or it’s very curly you probably will need to charge it again before you get to finish straightening your hair. But otherwise it’s great to have. You never know if you want or need to straighten your hair away from home. Having a cordless flat iron that actually works good is a great investment. I have told all my friends and family about this.

Jet Setter's Rechargable Hair Styling Iron

While working my way through the organized and compact packaging of this wireless rechargeable styler, I knew I was in for a treat. The design of the actual product- the Lunata Wireless Styler - is sleek and light and is made of high-quality materials. The body of the styler has a poly carbonate shell and the floating plates are made of 1” titanium. This is a product designed for on-the-go “touch ups” and it can run on one charge for up to 45 minutes while set on maximum heat. The temperature of the two plates ranges from 200-430 degrees F and can be changed from Fahrenheit to Celsius simply by holding both temperature controls down together at the same time. The styler even comes with a silicon sleeve which allows the user to drop it into a purse of gym bag while still a little warm. The whole package contains a zip case to hold the charging dock stand, charging cord, styling iron, silicon sleeve and the universal electrical adapter. It is obvious that the design has well addressed the significant and important design elements needed to successfully market and enjoy using a rechargeable traveling touch-up styling iron. One of the biggest and best design features of this iron is that the Titanium plates are made with MCH heating elements. These elements are energy efficient, heat rapidly and have immediate heat recovery. They are also made so that the negative ions that are created in use, close the hair cuticle and gives finishing hair results that are shiny, smooth, and frizz-free. The handle is made of durable, heat-resistant polycarbonate material that is ergonomically designed to be very easy to grip and hold even if the user has skeletal/muscular physical deficiencies. The styler comes with a universal electrical adaptor which also includes 2 USB ports. This allows use during world travel and provides the adaptation for dual voltage of 100-240 V. The styler offers an LCD panel that features a digital temperature and battery power indicator. The temperature gauges move quickly to raise the temperature for use and when it reaches the set temperature it turns from blue to green. The iron takes about 2 minutes and 30 seconds to heat up. The blue LCD also show when the styler is charging. I am having a hard time seeing the battery indicator on my LCD, but it is supposed to appear when the LCD shows the temperature setting. The styler operates on 25 Watts and is 10.5” x 1.5” x 1.5” in size. The case is 12” x 7.5” x 3” and together the travel package, including the product, weighs 2 lbs. As with any styling product, after each use it should be cleaned with a damp clean cloth when the iron is turned off and cooled down. My product is black, but it also comes in white. Setup is easy and can be done by inserting the charging cord into the bottom of the docking station and giving the connector a twist so that it will stay in place. Next the charging cord should be plugged into an electrical outlet and the styler placed into the docking station and allowed to reach a full charge. There is a locking mechanism at the rear of the styler that can control whether the styler stays in a closed position or allowed to open. This is a great product if you need a travel type hair styling iron and especially if you travel out of the USA to other countries. I highly recommend that you take a look at this product and consider it when making your purchase.

This was my first experience with a portable flat iron and after using this one I’ll never go back. The flat iron comes with everything needed to charge the unit no matter the country you’re in which is amazing for those of us that travel. My flat iron that I had prior was not doing the job so I was in desperate need. I’m a Black woman with textured hair and thick curly roots and I was a little apprehensive. I used the unit with no product in my hair on 350 at first and ultimately landing at 410 degrees F (unit goes up to 425) I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to flat iron my hair in 1 swipe 2 for my roots which are thicker and it didn’t give off a burning smell and looked nice and polished. The LED feature turns blue when heating up and green once it has reached your desired temperature which I found to be a GREAT feature no need for guessing if the iron is hot enough or not. On top of the high quality feel of the iron and how well it worked on my hair the presentation was AMAZING. the carrying case is great quality with rose gold accidents and holds all the pierces necessary including a rubber attachment to place on the iron if you’re on the go and need to put it back in your bag without needing to cool it down first makes great for traveling. Overall good product

I have a number of different styling tools - some cheap and some expensive. But this is my first wireless styling tool and I can say without a doubt, that I wish all my tools were. Out of the fancy looking box is a carrying case that includes the flat iron, which comes with a silicone sleeve, a charging dock, charging cable and an adapter plug for overseas use (something you don’t always think of when you’re traveling). The iron is of good quality, with a nice silicone feel to it. It fully charges in under an hour, which was a nice surprise. It has the ability to switch between Fahrenheit or Celsius, which is nice if you like Celsius. As for the temperature, its lowest setting is 200° Fahrenheit and goes up to 430° Fahrenheit, which is nice if you have thicker hair or hair that doesn’t hold well. I used it to create beachy waves in my hair and they stayed wonderfully through 2 kids soccer games in a wind storm. Overall, this is a great flat iron and has all the features that one would want, with the bonus of no cords to get tangled in. The only con I could say about this (that didn’t affect me, but might for others) is that the plates on this iron are only about an inch wide. If you have thicker hair or longer hair, I could see where this would be very time consuming. Although, it does say right on the box that it is “for touch-ups on the go” - so I guess you need to take that into account when purchasing it.
