    Bought this as a replacement switch for a medium size client of mine to expand network without needing another IDF. This integrated well with their CISCO Catalyst switches and has been trouble free for 3 months. I will be purchasing 2 more next week for another client.

  • This is NOT a simple Ethernet hub to add ports ...

    This switch has EIGHT poured ports vice 3-5 unpowered 0r underpowered ports like every other hub on the market. Do yourself a favor, if you need additional ethernet ports from your router or hub BUY THIS POWERED SWITCH. Otherwise you are simply making your already weakened signal weaker, still.

    This Gigabit Switch solved my home network problems. Thought I had a high quality switch before, but ports started to go out after a while and it was responsible for TV and Internet problems in my home. Luxul solved all issues and seems to be very high quality. More expensive, but worth it as I don't like problems.

    I replaced a switch with fewer ports with this one about a month ago. What I love the most about this switch are the LED lights on the front that show you which ports have a successful connection. The last one I had didn't have these, so it was annoyingly difficult to see if a connectivity issue was network wide or limited to one connection/device. Too small for a business, but works well at home.

    After upgrading my internet service from 50MB to 100mb, I found my old router throttled my wired network to around 60mb. The Luxul 1008 nicely resolved the problem.
