Black Friday deal means great value for this trendy item. Design is great, but usage takes persistency much like my on-again, off-again workout routine.

Almost too strong

My son got me this for my birthday, it is Very strong, wish there was a “lesser” powerful mode that was more relaxing. Also, the “dome” attachment will NOT stay attached, it is dangerous when sent like a projectile from the device. The others seem to say, but this one seems like it would be the most useful if it would stay on. Also I somehow keep cutting it off when accidentally touching the screen.

Brand response from Lyric Team

Hi Carrie. Appreciate the feedback. Not sure if you tried all of the different therapies or speed settings but it's very adaptable to suit all tastes. However, the good news is that Lyric is Wi-Fi enabled, meaning we listen to user feedback and can modify the experience with a simple upload. In other words, your Lyric experience will evolve and improve over time (including speed/comfort settings). This also applies to desensitizing the screen when in use to avoid interruptions. Finally, as for the attachment coming off, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] and our team will explain what you need to do. Thanks again!

As an avid rock climber, this really helps me relax my muscles after a longer session. It's easy to use, portable and features 4 different heads. It holds a long battery life so you could use it for a few hours.

The quality of the message gun is surprising for the price point. On top of that the firmware programs are diverse and user friendly, regardless of you use the old or new UI for the device. However, the app is useless for Android users and there are plenty of very basic problems with setting up an account and connecting it via the App Store. In short, the Lyric app for the iPhone needs re-launch and until it does, expect little of the system.

It’s very easy to use and helps reduce muscle sourness after a work out. It’s small and easy to carry and comes with four different muscle massage caps.

Very sleek yet simple design and packaging to hold all accessories. My only grip is the touch screen only to navigate, takes slightly longer to find\change setting that a dedicated button. Massage usage is relaxing, and extension tool is a great inclusion for reaching my back & shoulder blades.

I bought this item because I was experiencing lower back pain and tendon pain in my arm. I won’t say that I’m cured, or that the pain is completely gone, but I couldn’t stand up without acute pain until I used this. Same with my arm. I was skeptical about this type of product but I’m so happy I got it. It’s sleek, easy to use and sits nicely in the base right on my coffee table without looking too out of place.

It was really good till it suddenly stopped working after 3 days. The screen lit up but it didn't display anything so i couldn't get it to work. I really enjoyed using it and all it's features but returned it as soon as it stopped working.

It’s a nice massage. The additional arm allows you to get hard to reach places. I found the massagers that look like a gun to be easier to apply pressure. But overall I like it. It’s travel friendly and does not disappoint

I’ve been using the Lyric Therapeutic Massager for about a week now and first impressions of this device are that it’s a winner.
In the box, the Lyric comes with a lot of the things you’d expect. The massager, 4 different heads for different types of pressure, an extension handle, a USB-C charger, and a docking station with charging capabilities that doubles as storage for the massage attachments.
In what is the first for this device type that I’ve seen, the Lyric is wifi enabled so it can receive updates to firmware and hopefully more guided routine options. Out of the box, the Lyric did require an update. The update process is fairly straight forward. The touchscreen on the massager will guide you thru the process, which includes connecting to your smartphone and ultimately to your wifi. The download/update is fast, but if you don’t pay attention the guide will keep sending you to update even after you are complete with the process. There is also an app that is not available yet for smartphones. I’m looking forward to what additional capabilities the app will add.
Once you are ready to get started, a press of the button will turn on the touchscreen that brings up multiple options for massage. Options include pain relief, calm, energy, & rest. You can swipe to get to more selections including a mode that lets you just select an intensity level (1 – 4), device info, and settings. Within each of the four massage types, you can select a device guided massage or a manual massage. The guided massages will direct you the correct placement on body parts/pressure points and are all either 3 or 4 minutes long. The magic that this device provides is in what Lyric calls Rhythm Therapy. Based on the science used to develop this massager, the Lyric uses different vibrations throughout the massage. I can’t speak as much to the science, but I can tell you the massages feel good and are relaxing. Some of the other massage devices I’ve used, just beat you up and don’t feel all that good. This one is designed to be different. The massager itself is lightweight, which is nice as your hands, wrists, & arms don’t get tired as quickly from use. The device also looks nice and doesn’t take much space when it’s on the docking station.
If you’re looking for a new massaging device, the Lyric is definitely worth a look as it’s really good now and has the promise to keep getter better thru software updates!

Overall a good product. Has good power and good choice of heads for different muscles. The only issue I have with it is the wireless charging base. It gets really hot really quickly when left to charge. The plug im using is a 12w phone charger. It doesn't appear to be a batter issue as I can charge the device with a normal USB-C cable through the handle. Luckily I have geek squad protection but will wait until next month. Hoping it's just an issue with this production batch.

This seemed like a great device, sleek design and a smart interface, however the interface is cumbersome and more importantly the dome attachment shoots off when it’s started, making this a dangerous weapon. Shot myself in the eye when I attempted to bring it over my shoulder to my neck. it will not stay in, the other attachments are not popping out (so far) but the dome is really the one most useful to me. no response from the company support email yet, who i emailed first due to cryptic responses to other reviews mentioning this flaw, implying that it was attached incorrectly by the user but not offering resolve other then suggesting they email for help.
Connecting to the app via bluetooth was confusing there was no intuitive way to do so. once connected the app seemed pointless.
it is extremely powerful and due to the dome shooting off and across the room i have yet to figure out a way to turn it down.
looks cool, great in theory but pretty much useless to me. pass on this
