overall love the compact and design. as for power has enough torque to relief the pain. but as for the wireless charging it failed twice on me. Both over heat and one just died even with direct charge. Wanted to love this unit but at this price and the issues. I can do better. Hope they iron this out cause its a great unit

I have had this unit for about a year now, when I purchased the unit it was $200, at the current retail of $99.99, it is a steal. Unit looks great, love the touchscreen, and most of the massage functions seem to work as designed. No complaints at $200, without a question worth the current selling price.

Unique, powerful massager, with (fixed) bugs

The Lyric massager really surprised me from the moment I opened the box - between the extra long handle accessory, the wireless charging base, and touchscreen interface on the device itself, I was really impressed with the presentation and innovation on display.
This is the first massager I've used where there is both wireless charging as well as wireless connectivity for firmware updates. I've used a competitor product which used a bluetooth based app to control different modes, but the Lyric is unique in that the modes are self contained within the device itself - once you get the hang of the routines, you can forego using your phone each time and just set the different routines on the touchscreen and move it where it is supposed to go. I found the Lyric's massage routines to be amazing for pain relief - some of the frequencies that it hits feel almost like an electric charge going through your muscles.
The wireless updates are both a blessing and a curse for the Lyric. When I received it initially, even with a firmware update the device was almost unusable as more than a generic massager. The guided routines, as cool as they are, would shut off if you accidentally touched the screen (even just lightly brushing the screen) and you couldn't restart them where you left off. It was just too much work and I gave up using the device after a few days. Fortunately, I wasn't asked to submit a review until a later firmware update which has corrected that glaring issue. Now if you brush the screen, it will pause and let you resume. This completely saves the device from being relegated to the closet, never to be seen again! I anticipate future updates to further refine the device - it does feel like a bit of an incomplete product with lots of promise.
After this latest firmware update that fixed the touchscreen issue, the only thing that keeps the Lyric from being a 5 star product is the firmware update process itself. Instead of using a mobile app to configure the device out of the box, you have to connect your phone (or a computer I guess) to the Lyric's initial setup wifi network and then navigate manually to a web page served by the Lyric. Just really not user friendly to expect users to connect to 192.168.4.1 after connecting to a wireless network. Finally, it wipes the config every time you update it, so you have to set it up on wifi all over again from your phone after every update. Again, this seems like something that may be fixed given the continuous updates you get, and it didn't prevent me from updating it or anything. Just seemed a little 2008 instead of 2021. Addaday does have a mobile app, but it apparently only works with their bluetooth products and not this wifi Lyric.
So, with the caveat that you MUST update the firmware out of the box to fix game breaking bugs, I think almost anyone who likes these kinds of vigorous massages will love the lyric.

It works when it wants to. Looks sleek- really the only thing going for it. The device keeps wanting to update the firmware, but it goes on a loop from the old to new and back again… so I guess just do it once and ignore future notifications to update. Also, attachments keep popping out when on the highest setting, really annoying and I’m so close to returning and purchasing a different brand.
