Powerful Massager

I am a member of Best Buy’s Technical Insider Network, TIN for short. Reviewers in this invitation-only program are provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews.
Lyric’s phone app and full user’s manual was not available at time of this review.
Initial Impressions:
This is a powerful massager. I have owned multiple massagers over the years that were one trick ponies. In short, they were all vibrating objects of various shapes and sizes whose goal was to magically relax sore muscles. At most, they made my voice all cool sounding when applied to my chest. Otherwise, they were all worthless. The Lyric is something different. The head oscillates like in a steady back and forth pattern instead of the random omni-directional vibrating heads of other motorized massagers. The oscillating head is very powerful. It comes with tips that will allow you to customize how best to target your sore spots and muscle groups. There is a handle that attaches to and extends the reach of the Lyric. The LCD touch screen is large, easy to read, and is easy to navigate. There are not lot of screens so it should not take long to try out all the features.
My first use of the Lyric was a bit of an adventure. Eh, it did not work out so well. I was not expecting the oscillations to be so powerful. In the end failed to respect how powerful of the massager this is and ended up bruising my shoulder. It took a few attempts to figure out how best to hold it, where to place the massager tip, which tick to use, and how much pressure to apply to my body part so the massager would massage and not punch me at high speed. My recommendation is that you practice this on the setting “Level” at level 1 speed using the soft tip until you have a good idea how to handle your Lyric. My outcomes became much better after a little experience with how to hold the unit, placement, and working with the pre-programmed therapies.
Setup:
Setup is straight forward. Turn on your phone, turn on the Lyric, follow the Lyric’s onscreen instructions. If you reset the Lyric, then you will be walked through the Wi-Fi setup again and again and again. Why is it so easy to reset the Lyric. The UI developers at Lyric decided to include the Rest button as one of the four guided massage options. In my opinion, the rest button should have been one of the last screens you can swipe to on the top-level menu screens.
The Lyric has two charging options. You can plug the USB cable directly into the handle or you can charge the Lyric via the included charging base. Both methods use the same USB A/B to USB C cable. The base also houses three of the of four massager heads. The default Dome head is designed to be stored attached to the Lyric. In my opinion, this is a compact and efficient design.
The extension handle has a smooth rubberized like coating. The extension handle slides into bottom of the Lyric and is held in place by a rubberized compression seal. The connection has a slight wobble which may lead you to believe the Lyric will just fall off the extension handle. It won’t. The fit is very tight. I had the lyric upside down massaging my back while I held the extension handle over my shoulder. It also took a good tug using both hands to separate the handle from the massager.
Power:
As mentioned earlier, this is a powerful massager. You will hurt yourself if you do not treat the Lyric, or your body, with respect. There are three guided massage settings: Pain Relief, Calm, and Energy. These are pre-programmed therapies that target specific pressure points on your body. The massage head vibrates for about 20 seconds at each pressure point. The power to the massage head may start slow, ramp up to fast, and then slow again but with more powerful hits than when the session began. For example, one of the pressure points is the back of my hand just under my thumb. It took a few practices tries to find the correct position for my hand so that the Lyric would not simply punch me in the back of the hand. Placing my hand on a table caused the Lyric to punch the palm of hand on the table. For me, the best position was to hold my hand in the air and apply pressure to the massager heard with the back of my hand.
Attachments:
From Lyric’s website. The four attachments are as follows:
Cone: Intended for more sensitive areas and for acupressure treatments.
Dome: Recommended for larger areas of the body.
Thumb: Can be applied to trigger points or used for deeper tissue penetration.
Double: This two-pronged design enables a “double tap” to target both muscle and tissue.
I need specific directions on how and when to use the Double.
The Cone and Dome are the two I use the most. The Cone comes to a point but is softer than the other attachments. I use this mostly for targeting specific sore spots or areas where I feel the other attachments are too hard.
The Dome is broad and covers a wide area. This is the default attachment. This is good when moving the Lyric over a large muscle or area of your body. However, you still need to be careful because if you use this incorrectly it turns into a giant battering ram for a muscle or joint.
I used the Thumb a few times. Mostly on some stubborn knots in the arch of my foot. As much as I wanted to punish the nasty little knot, I found that the Cone was a better fit. Otherwise, I did not find a good use for the Thumb.
Guided therapy:
There are three guided therapies: Pain Relief, Calm, and Energy. Maybe there will be more when Lyric launches its app. There is little introduction or instruction for these therapies. The touch screen LCD will walk you through the placements of the massager head for each one of these therapies. I recommend that you start with the default Dome massager head until you get more comfortable with each therapy. If you find the Dome still too hard then go with the Cone. The Cone is the most forgiving of the four heads.
For example, the Pain Relief Therapy is a three-minute therapy consisting of eight twenty second sessions: massage of right/left inside thumb, right/left inside pinky, traps (top of shoulder), and right/left inside ankle. The LCD will give you an image of your right hand, palm side down, with a dot where the massage head should rest. The guide will show a graphic of the next massage point when it finishes with the previous one. Text on the screen will also state what the point is. You have three seconds to place the massage head between massage points. This will take some practice to get right. It took me a few tries to figure out exactly how to massage the inside of my thumbs before I got it right. First time the Lyric punched my hand. The second time I had better results. The third time I rested my hand palm down on a table. That was a very bad idea because the Lyric simply punched the palm of my hand into the table. This is an area where better instruction would be very helpful. As mentioned earlier, the best position for me was holding my hand in the air.
The LCD is very sensitive. If you touch the LCD screen with any part of your hand while transitioning to another part of your body the massager pauses. This is not a big deal with the guided therapy. It could be a very big deal when engaging in a mode called Level. This is essentially free hand mode. Using the trigger button, you can set the intensity level from 1 to 4. Four being the most powerful, fastest oscillation. This is not an issue if I am using the extension to reach hard to reach places. However, if I am targeting an easy to reach muscle group, such as my hip, then it is very likely I will brush the LCD screen and pause my massage session. In these instances, I had to put fabric between the LCD touch screen and my hand to prevent any interruption in the massage session. I am not sure if there is a software solution here. At least I can solve the problem using other methods.
Final thoughts:
If you are ready to give up on the vibrating massagers and ready for something a little more targeted, then you might like the Lyric. It has a very powerful motor, multiple tips, and an extension arm that allows you to massage those hard-to-reach places. The batter lasts a good long time. Charging is easy. And the multiple tips cover a variety of applications. I cannot stress enough how much this can hurt you if you do not respect it. Be smart and you will get a lot of great use out of the Lyric.

The Lyric is a wifi connected therapeutic massager. The manufacturer states that it uses Rhythm Therapy, applying frequencies to relieve pain and stress, positively affect emotions and increase blood flow.
In the box you get the massager, 4 massage heads, an extension handle, a storage base which also acts as a wireless charger, and a charging cable. A quick start guide is included to help you connect your device.
After connecting to wifi the massager will install updated firmware. There is a built-in screen where you can choose guided therapy for Rest, Energy, Pain Relief and Calm. If you choose any of these it will guide you thru a 3-4 minute program, or you can choose to do the programs manually. You can also use this outside of the provided programs by just choosing speed levels from 1-4, and applying it at your own discretion.
You can go into settings/ info to check the battery level, or settings to change language, reset the device, mute the sound and check wifi connection.
One of the biggest advantages of this device is that the wifi connection allows for future firmware updates to add features.
The design is modern and very attractive. The massager fits in the storage case/wireless charging base which holds all of the massage heads, and is attractive enough to be put on your night table or dresser. The extension handle is great for reaching all areas of your back.
It is also lightweight and easy to maneuver.
I have been using the massager for weeks both with guided programs and manually. The guided programs take getting used to, but the more I use it the more I like it. I can’t honestly say that I feel Calm, Energized or Relaxed after each program, but I have gotten used to it and I look forward to using it.
Unfortunately I have had several issues with this device and there are some shortcomings.
First issue was during setup. Following the included instructions you connect to wifi using your phone and the touchscreen.
Despite following the instructions it took almost an hour and too many attempts to count to get it connected. The phone and the touchscreen both said it was connected, but every time I tried to start the massager the screen prompted me to connect to wifi.
Secondly, when you are charging the device, whether wirelessly in the base or directly to the device, there is no indicator light either on the base or the device to let you know that it is charging. In fact, in order to know the state of charge you must first press the power button, then swipe the touchscreen twice, and the press the info button. That’s way too many steps to check the power, especially since the manufacturer tells you to keep the device at least 50% full in order to extend battery life.
Also the handle of the massager gets quite warm when charging in the base. When charging directly to the device the handle stays cool to the touch. No matter how long I have charged the device I cannot get it past 98%, however battery life does seem to be good.
Another issue is the location of the touchscreen. I have average size hands, but every time I use the device my finger will accidently touch the screen and the device stops. Then I have to press the screen again to start it. This happened often and is annoying.
But the biggest issue is a design flaw. All of the massage heads and the extension handle stay connected to the device by the friction of a rubber O ring. This will wear out over time. In fact the massage heads already have flown off the device when operated at speed level 4. This is dangerous and inexcusable. I have percussion massagers and all of them use a metal spring clip to hold the massage heads in place.
The bottom line is that this is an attractive device which takes anew approach to massage with rhythm therapy. I think it has great potential, but at this point there are too many issues for me to recommend this to anyone else.

Brand response from Lyric Team

Hi. Thanks so much for the feedback! We listen our valued customers and we use comments like these to improve the experience. So glad you appreciate the design and other features. As you noted, the Wi-Fi capability enables us to provide software updates to enhance the experience - including the addition of a charging indicator in a future firmware update AND preventing the device stopping from accidentally touching the screen during use. Check! Check! As for warmth of the device when charging, just like some other everyday electrical devices this is normal and nothing to be worried about. In fact, Lyric has gone through (and is still going through) extensive "aging testing," meaning we use and abuse it (and charge it) for weeks to identify issues and ensure its safety. Speaking of aging testing, we have not encountered wear of the O-rings yet BUT the Lyric is covered by a 1-year warranty so we will replace any part that wears. We have noted your experience with a head coming loose and our engineers will pay close attention to this. Phew! Did that cover everything?! Again, THANK YOU for taking the time to provide such thoughtful feedback.

EXACTLY What I Was Looking For!

The Lyric Massager Stone is EXACTLY what I was looking for! In my old age everything has started to hurt and it hurts double when I’m trying to still stay active. I’ve gotten weak massagers that barely do anything, to ones that will rattle your teeth out of your head. The Lyric is right in the sweet spot. It gives you tons of control over where and how much pressure you use. Once the Lyric team puts the final touches on their App and release it to the world, this is probably going to be THE handheld massager to own.
What I Like:
1. Compact: I love that the device itself is nicely compact and yet stylish. The fact that it rests on its cradle, which also stores the other massage heads and charges it, make it perfect for just about anyone. The Lyric also comes with an extension handle that gives you extra reach for your back and other spots that may not be readily accessible. I haven’t had to use it much because, for me, the Lyric is the perfect size, shape, and weight for me to hit pretty much anywhere I need to hit.
2. Variable Power: Many of us have tried those ‘massage’ wraps from what used to be the gadget store in the mall, and they always underwhelmed (at least they did for me). I have also gotten some of the newer massagers that are really designed for serious athletes and professionals. Those ones probably do wonders in the hands of a pro but for everyday guys like me, even the lowest setting feels like I’m being beat upon and then I’ll hit a bone and shake myself silly. The Lyric Massage Stone gives you a very useful range of power. On top of that, they also use scientifically developed patterns and points that allow you to get additional benefits beyond just kneading your aching muscles. The Lyric has several built-in routines for whatever your need might be that day. Everything from energizing your muscles to get ready to relaxing to wind you down. They all hit the same parts but use different wavelengths and amplitude to maximize the power of the massage. I can’t wait for the App to roll out and expand on what is already a very useful suite of massages.
3. Multiple Massager Tips: I have stuck with the default tip since I have gotten the Lyric and it has been perfect. I know I will be able to maximize the power of the Lyric with the other tips that are included: a two-pronged tip, a smaller smooth tip, and a larger smooth tip. That is in addition to the textured tip that is a bit like a golf ball in texture. Again, as soon as that App comes out and can tell me how to best use those different tips, I know that the Lyric will become a godsend to my aching body.
4. Price: I’m assuming that if you are looking at this you have seen how expensive these things can be, at least the good ones that is. The fact that this is ‘only’ $200 is amazing. I realize that that is a lot of money for most people to spend on a self-care item, but considering that is the price of 2-3 professional 1-hour massages, I consider it a bargain. I’ve had the Lyric for several weeks now and I already feel like I have gotten $200 of value out of it, so I’m very happy with the price.
What I Don’t Like:
1. App Availability: That the App still isn’t out a month after this came out is pretty silly. It should not have hit stores without it. While the Lyric itself can guide you through a few routines, I would prefer to have an App that can go a bit more in-depth into guided massage routines. Even the website lacks any guided routines while we wait.
2. Extension Handle Connection: While the handle extension is nice, light, and easy to use, it is also not incredibly secure. They found a nice way for it to slot onto the base of the Lyric that doesn’t mar the aesthetics of the device, but it also doesn’t secure it very well, especially when you are using it to press firmly on your back and it is vibrating pretty strongly. I haven’t had the Lyric come off of the extension handle yet, but it has come close. Like I said above, I have not really needed to use it much, but I’m hesitant to use it more because I’m afraid of they Lyric coming detached and crashing to the floor. Some kind of locking mechanism would be helpful.
Conclusion:
All-in-all I am super happy with the Lyric Massager! I have already convinced one of my wife’s friends to go get one after I let her use it just one time after we all went for a rather tough hike. Once the App hits the street and truly unlocks the potential of this device, it will hands-down be THE self-care device to get for yourself or a loved one. I’m sorry if I’m gushing a bit too much, but it really has improved my quality of life. I feel better than I have in a long time and the only thing that has changed is using the Lyric.

Looks Great, Massages Even Better

The Addaday Lyric Therapeutic Massager is not your typical hand held massage device. What makes the Lyric standout from the crowd is its “Rhythmic Therapy” approach to healing the body. To calm tense areas or muscles the Lyric implements special intensity levels with programs via Wifi. Yes, Wifi! The “Rhythmic Therapy” decreases/increases the head speed in smooth comfortable way.
• The Lyric Massager is a compact massaging device that comes in a charging cradle or direct plug-in with a USB Type C to USB Type A port. To keep the battery power up and use of the Lyric device charge longer, you should not let the power level go lower than half way. The Lyric device feels solid, powerful and well balanced in your hand. It has a rubber like feel to keep it firmly in your grip. It also includes a “Touch Screen” that you can use to provide the type and kind of massage you want. To get your options, touch the trigger on the underside of the Lyric. Once on, the options are there on the touch screen, you can swipe or touch an icon to reach your destination.
• Cleverly hidden underneath the charging cradle are four attachments that you can use to achieve maximum relief: Thumb, Dome, Cone and Double Cone. To place the Lyric massager in the cradle you have to put on the Double Cone. This setup provides a small footprint and keeps the attachments all together. It is also worth noting the Lyric comes in several unique colors including: Off-White, Black, Grey-Blue, Light Blue and Orange.
• The first thing you will want to do is hookup your Wifi to the Lyric device on your network along with your cellphone. To do this, follow the prompts on your “Touch Screen.” Included with the Lyric is a small poster sized sheet with the full 6 steps of directions to connect everything together. It is a process, that may seem intimidating at first, but once you get started it becomes easier and clearer to understand. I got prompts from the “Touch Screen” to begin and end the process. I was able to connect the very first time I tried. This connection allowed me to update the firmware right away. Why is this important? It automatically sends different programs to your Lyric Massager and will update when more become available. A helpful app for your cellphone is coming soon for an even better experience.
• The Lyric Massager is much different than I expected, in a good way. Once removed from the charging cradle I pushed the trigger on the underside of the Lyric that activated the “Touch Screen.” The touch screen is a great size and is easy see and select options. Four options pop-up right away: pain relief, calm, energy and rest. Before you start using the Lyric, be sure to check your battery life. Swipe right to left (twice) to see info, settings and any updates. The Info icon will tell you how the actual battery life left on the Lyric in case you need to charge it. Additionally, the Settings icons will let you choose: language, reset, Wifi and sound. To go back one screen, click the trigger. If you only swipe from right to left once, you can get what a regular massage device does. There are 4 options of consistent intensity that you can use to provide your body relief.
• The actual massage that the Lyric provides is where it shines. It speeds up and slows down at different intervals to provide the most effective massage. Each manual option has three settings: position 1, 2 and 3. The higher the number, the greater the intensity and rest. Once I selected the manual option for “pain relief” and touched the trigger three times, I was able to get the most intense part of the Lyric massage. Of course there was position 1 or 2, if I wanted to go at a slower intensity. On the touch screen is a circle that is thicker on some parts and thinner on other parts. The most intense part is the thicker line on the circle while the thinner line is more of a rest. Why is this important? The different sets of speeds that go from the Lyric through the attachment to your body are based on “Rhythmic Therapy.” This kind of massage gets in sync to your body’s natural rhythm and is supposed to help calm your muscles and help heal the body. I suffer from mild plantar fasciitis. During the morning, walks or runs it can become quite painful. Using the manual pain relief mode, I was able to get some reprieve from the pain. While the plantar fasciitis issue is still there at the moment, the Lyric Massager did a great job and over time to give me more relief.
• I eventually selected all four types of massage settings, but I prefer the “pain relief” option. Once I touched the icon, I was able to choose between programs or use it manually. When I chose the program, exact spots on the body were highlighted. From there I followed the program and kept it still just resting on the spot highlighted. Each program runs about 3 mins. If you need to stop a program, just hold the trigger. I also chose the manual option for unlimited time and was able to move the Lyric around any position I wanted on my back, neck, shoulders, hamstrings, etc.
I have benefited from the Lyric massager by using it to just getting warmed up for a walk and/or muscle recovery. The “Rhythmic Therapy” process is comfortable and is smooth when transitioning from different intensities. I have felt better after every use, especially the sore/trouble spots. The Addaday Lyric Massager is inventive, smart and provides a unique approach for healing for the body.

Set-up was kind of confusing. When you first turn on the Lyric Massager, it will create a Lyric Hotspot.
You then connect your phone to the Lyric Hotspot. But you need to make sure you also turn off your phone’s mobile data before connecting your phone’s wifi to the Lyric Hotspot or you will run into problems.
Once you connect your phone to the Lyric Hotspot, the Lyric will display a QR Code and you use your phone to scan it. This will basically take your phone to the URL 192.168.4.1. Instead of scanning the QR Code, you can just manually enter the URL into your phone’s browser.
The problem is that if you do not turn off the phone’s mobile data, your phone will try to connect to 192.168.4.1 using the mobile data network and it will fail. Once you turn off your phone’s mobile data, your phone will be able to connect to the Lyric at that address.
Then the Lyric will present instructions on your phone to configure the Lyric to use your home wifi. From there your Lyric will be able to download the latest firmware and update itself.
During the setup process, there were also some conflicting messages displayed. I received messages telling me to reconnect to the Lyric wifi and to configure the wifi of the Lyric even though it had already successfully configured itself to use my home network.
Once things were set up, the Lyric was easy to understand and use.
The package includes the massager, a charging dock with massage head attachment tray, 4 massage attachments, extension handle for harder to reach places, and a USB charging cable.
The 4 massage attachments are
Cone (for sensitive areas and acupressure treatments)
Dome (for larger areas of the body)
Thumb (for trigger points and deeper tissue penetration)
Double (for targeting both muscle and tissue)
Operation is simple. There is a trigger button to turn on the massager. Holding down the trigger button for 10 seconds turns it off.
The touch screen provides a menu of therapies (Pain Relief, Calm, Energy, and Rest) that allow you to have the massager guild your actions or you can choose to bypass this and just use the massager manually.
I got this for my 82 year old mother who has an autoimmune disorder that causes her muscles and tendons to frequently feel “tight” and “sore”. When I take her shopping and she is walking slower than usual, I know that it’s because her legs were feeling “tight” that day.
I constantly see her massaging/squeezing her arms and shoulders because they feel sore and I wondered if the Lyric Massager would be good for someone like her.
So far, my mom loves the Lyric Massager! It’s not too heavy and the smaller size and form factor makes it easy for her to hold and use. My mom is not tech savvy but she is able to use the touchscreen to select massage therapies after I showed her how it works.
The day after she used it for the first time she told me that her legs feel better than usual and her walking pace was noticeably quicker than usual.
Based on our brief experience, it really does seem the Lyric Massager can reduce soreness and tightness. And it feels good while using it. My mom immediately loved it and I see that she frequently uses it. It’s one of the few gifts that I’ve given her that she seems to enjoy and use.

This has been a lifesaver. I've had an injured shoulder area for a couple years ago and at one point i was in PT and they were basically using a crazy fancy version of the Lyric, not that the Lyric itself isn't fancy. It is. The ability to download more programs for massage is excellent. Its easy to use and there's a lot you can do on it
There are 4 different heads that allow you to do different massages or target specific points. They quick change and are very effective. They have a high quality, rubber feel. the unit itself is quite solid and easy to hold. There's also an extension for those hard to reach places
you can plug in the base and wirelessly charge the device, or you can plug into the device itself. Personally i recommend plugging into the device, especially if you're going out or overnight. When i put the massager into the cradle to wirelessly charge, the base got very hot. Almost uncomfortably. it did not seem safe. not sure if my base has an issue, i'll have to talk to customer support.
i had lent it to a friend for a week that recently had a child and they loved it. helped them feel much better since its so good at targeting sore spots
all in all, a must need if you're active or just prone to being sore or want to relax

Can you love a messager?

Aethetically the Lyric Therapeutic Massager is very stylish. The messager stores in a tray that acts as a charger, and the tray holds the extra attachments. It's very lightweight and easy to hold in your hand and maneuver. The attachments help get to thosedifficult to reach spots like the area where your back and shoulders meet.
The massager connects to wifi and it took just a couple minutes to set up. There's a little touch screen above the handle, allowing you to choose what kind of experience you'd like: pain relief, calm, or energy. Once you choose which guide, the massager will guide you to different pressure points on your body, with a timed vibration for each part. Cool.
According to Lyric, the messager uses a range of frequencies proven to improve mood, calm the body down, or ramp the body up to create focus or start the day feeling alert and refreshed. I don't know all the science behind it, but it works. It even downloads and updates its firmware.
With ski season and Christmas coming up, I thought it would make an incedible gift for my wife, but I kind of want to keep it for myself. Maybe I'll just borrow it often!

This all-new smart (connects to Wi-Fi) massage therapy tool is based on vibroacoustic science therapy that uses different frequencies to help promote pain management and healing in your body. Also, it combines touch and movement to help stimulate your nervous system. The packaging box is very nice (like a premium laptop box) and protects the massager very well. It comes with welcome instructions, a large quick start guide, USB-Type C charging cord, and four different attachments (dome, cone, thumb, and double (fork)). Before first use, I highly recommend connecting the device, using your phone, to the Wi-Fi for full functionality, getting the latest program modes and firmware updates. The dashboard on the tool is a touch screen, and it is straightforward to switch routines (modes). I like this tool because it massages with different rhythms and frequencies to help manage my pain all over my body. Sometimes after an intense workout, I get pain in my muscles, I use the massager on a target point (pressure point) to relieve the pain, and eventually, it heals faster. It is best to tackle knots big and small with the pointing thumb head. At night before going to bed, I lightly use calm mode, which helps smooth my body. Before a workout, sometimes I use the energy mode to wake up major muscles. The device currently has four modes, and each has a manual option or a walkthrough guide that shows you where to place the massager on your body. Connecting it to the Wi-Fi, you will receive more modes when there is a firmware update. Improve your self-care routine and rest your mind and body with this smart tool.

I was looking for a massager for my shoulders and upper back for some relief. As you can imagine, many massagers cannot get to many spots on the back unless your arm can bend in weird ways to reach it. This massager has an extension arm that snaps on to allow you to reach all kinds of places. I had a difficult time connecting the unit to my wireless network via my cell phone following the included directions, so I used it quite a few times following the programs on the display screen without updating. It had four programs, Pain Relief, Calm, Energy, and Rest. You pick one and then the next screen would be another choice, either guided or manual. As you can imagine, guided prompted you and the manual relied on you to move the unit to different points on your body. The rhythmic vibrations increasing and decreasing in intensity are supposed to provide the relief or just make you feel better. I think all the programs were only 3 minutes long, so you had to repeat them quite a few times to get any relief. During the programs you can adjust the intensity of the vibrations from 1 up to 3. I did not think this was too intense, given that I am used to a massage gun.
I finally decided to try my ipad to connect the massager to my wireless network and it went smoothly. Once connected, it downloaded some updates. One of the updates was a new program that is called “Level”. This program allows you to massage any area on your body for any period of time at any intensity from level 1 to level 4. They added the level 4 on the update too. Level 4 is much more intense and more satisfying, that is for sure.
They also included a nice charger base where you can store the different massage heads. I tried 2 of them so far, and like the hard plastic nub since it can really get into those muscle trigger points, especially in the upper back where we all hold that stress. I also use it around my shoulder that I recently had surgery on and my muscles get all tight and sore. This helps to loosen them up so they are not so painful.
It is a nice compact unit, but it only charges via usb connection. That is a bummer since not all my outlets have usb connections and I am not going to keep it plugged in to my laptop. They should have provided a normal electrical plug for normal outlets, and then I can bring it the office. I will have to buy a usb charging hub that plugs into the wall to plug it in at the office. A bit more expense just to have it handy.
All in all, it is a cute nifty product that gets the job done!

The Rhythm of Relaxation

I have been impressed with this massager so far. This new Lyric Therapeutic Massager packs a punch on sore muscles when needed but is also capable of scaling back for a nice calming massage. I love how this massager isn’t just a straight massager, but also has modes that have different “rhythms” to them. There are 5 different rhythm modes: pain relief, calm, energy, rest, and level. Each mode has a unique rhythm the massager pulsates to, "level" is steady vibration. With each mode, you can press the button on the machine, and it gives you 4 different vibration speeds. This massager is Wi-Fi equipped and that allows for keeping up with the latest updates for new guided massages and other features. I like the guided massage features, there are some places I never thought about massaging before, like on the hands or ankles and the massagers color screen easily walks you through.
The massager comes with 4 different tips. These tips serve different purposes and make the massage experience amazing. My favorite tip is “the thumb” it's small, solid, and feels like a thumb getting deep into the muscle. I love that there is a place to put these tips. The charging station is 2 pieces, where the tips store inside, underneath the station. The charging station is so convenient and so good-looking. I really love how the massager uses USB-C for their charging ports. There is a charging port on the charging station and on the massager itself, so you don’t need to carry the whole station with you if you were to bring it on a trip. The massager comes with an extension that can simply be plugged into the bottom to make it easier to reach spots like your back or shoulders.
The packaging for the massager was perfect. I love the neat and tidy packaging, where there are magnetic closures and foam cutouts. The massager comes with easy-to-follow start-up guides and directions on how to connect it to the internet. Most of the documentation comes with a QR code that can be scanned for further explanation. Don’t forget to scan the QR code to register and get your 1-year warranty! Overall, I am very pleased with this massager. I can see myself using it daily after my walks and hikes, and even upon waking up using the “energy” mode to get my day started right. I recommend this product to everyone as it can be used to alleviate minor muscle pain, lower stress, and help increase good vibes that affect positive emotion.

We are a household that loves handheld massagers, specifically my wife who has muscle tightness in her back and spine. We own a couple massagers that frankly cost more and offer a different experience. Whether the Lyric’s experience is better…well I think that’s a user preference that you should research.
Setup: I am the “techy” in the marriage and for me the WiFi setup was straight forward and similar to other smarthome setups where you connect to an ad-hoc Wi-Fi and use your smartphone to finalize. If you want a massager that you can take out of the box with a power button and a couple of speeds for easy use…look somewhere else. I held off on the review because I wanted to see what their app would be all about, but as of a month of owning the app is still “coming soon”.
Use: I can’t stress this enough. This is not a ‘turn it on and go’ concept. There are specific rhythms and massage areas that are programmed based on whether you want pain relief, energy, calm, rest, etc. there is a basic level function function, but really you’d be missing the point.
I love the calm program. I try to do the three minute tour before bed. It users variations to the speeds and tells you where to place on your body calm. Who knew 20s on each wrist would be so relaxing!
I do wish there was a more intuitive way to control levels on the base setting. The trigger power button will cycle through the speeds 1-4 but not an ‘off’ setting. You need to turn it off using the touch screen.
Misc: I LOVE the charging base and the ergonomics of the handle. It reaches everywhere and is always ready to go.
Are you techy? Do you want something different that helps guide you through different programs? Give the lyric a shot. If you want on/off + 3 speeds look elsewhere.
Split household. I love it! My wife would pass.

Powerful Rechargeable Massager

The Lyric Therapeutic Massaging Stone is a handheld messaging device that comes in multiple colors. The cradle that comes with it holds the massager, massager tips, and is a charging base. It doesn’t have a large footprint so you can place the cradle/base just about anywhere. The tips that come with it will help to work out any pain points from general areas to more precise muscle areas. In the box is also an extension handle that can be attached to reach muscles such as hard to reach muscles on your back or lower muscles like your calf muscles or feet. The massager itself has a little weight to it which helps when massaging since the motor is powerful and the weight helps you to keep the massager on the muscle. There are two ways to charge it. One way is to connect the included USB cable to the cradle and set the massager on the cradle. The other way is to connect the charge cable directly to the massager. It has a touch screen through which you can select the type of massage, massage intensity, change settings, and update firmware. It’s easy to get the massager connected to your wifi network. Once connected to your wifi network, you can update the firmware. The initial update took about 30 seconds. Also, there will be an app coming out for it. At the time I write this, it isn’t yet available. The app will have different massage programs to choose from which I’m looking forward to trying. I’ve enjoyed using it and it has made a big difference in how my back muscles feel and I feel more relaxed after using it. I would recommend the Lyric Therapeutic Massaging Stone to anyone with muscle tension or sore muscles.

The device itself is very intuitive easy to work with due to that color touch screen.
But it’s benefits are amazing!
Either after a good workout or a day at work it helps me recover/relax and i love it!
U can store all the interchangeable heads in the support that comes with which, by the way, it serves as a charger too!
My favorite mode is Energy at level 3!

Great massage gun, hold charge great. Different modes, easy to use features. Whiling charging in cradle can get very hot. Concerned to leave charging unattended. Other than that great massage gun. I would recommend for the price.

Excellent massager. Strong pulse and extremely long battery life. Attachments are useful as well. Not meant for the hard core athlete but well suited for people with regular aches and pains for which a massager can benefit.
