The first thing that caught my attention when I opened the Shipping box was the packaging. Very professional and high quality. You can tell that you are in front of a high quality and good product. The initial setup is very easy. It comes with an envelope with a warranty stamp and a small quick guide start, and separately a big color quick start guide with instructions to set up the wifi, and from there update the firmware. It comes with 3 different attachments, a USB-C charging cord, a handle extender, something that make it looks real unique, stand-box that not only keeps the optional attachments inside, but it also serves as a wireless charger. I found that really amazing, and I didn’t notice this detail at the beginning.
So, the unit has a USB-C port where you can connect to charge it with the included cord. It doesn’t come with the Power adapter. As I mentioned before, the stand is a wireless charge so all you have to do is placed the unit on top and it will charge itself wirelessly.
Using this massager is so simple! It is very intuitive, and the way it works is by using vibration acoustics sounds that varies from different frequencies as well as vibration so it helps to stimulate your nervous system. It is oriented as a day by day use, so you can perform a regular “maintenance” to your body and prevent or calm uncomfortable pain or help you to sleep better.
First, I charged the unit, it took a while, but the specs states that it will last 4 full hours of work once it is fully charged. Once it is charged, I proceed to follow the instructions to connect it to my Home Wifi, very easy, you will first have to connect your wifi phone to the unit, and once it is done you either scan the bar code provided to take you to the unit configuration web page, or just simply type the ip 192.168.4.1 on the web browser of your phone and it will take you to the configuration of the unit and from there you can configure the wifi settings. Once it is done you just follow the instructions on the unit screen display and update the firmware.
Even if the unit is able to work without connecting to the wifi, you will get more benefits by doing it, because the brand will provide you an update of different new routines that will be more up to date.
After trying the 4 different attachment I found out that the one that comes by default is suitable for all my needs. By pressing the trigger on the handle you will power on the unit and at the back a color touch screen will light on with four types of massage modes, Pain Relief, Clam, energy and Rest. I think they all pretty much explain by itself what each one does. If you press the touch screen to select each one, you will find 2 options, a guided and manual routine. The guided will tell you where and how long to massage. To pause it just touch the screen. The manual mode will just activte the unit and will show you on the screen a circle that spin show you with the line indicator when and how much is the intensities level.
The handle extender is very useful, it grab firmly to the unit and I can reach the lower of my back easily.
I have problems to sleep, so I am starting to use it with the "rest mode" routine. This unit has been made by professionals and researchers so you can feel confident that with the regular use will you will be able to find your rhythm and stimulate your nervous system by the combination of vibration and sonic pulses.
By far I was pleasantly surprised, it is not just another massager machine. The guided instructions, this stylish and durable device makes a big difference from others.
I like it!

Mechanically, this item works as expected. However, to receive the full benefits it was expected that I would download an app and connect the device to my home wi-if. I chose not to and returned the item.

This is suppose to be relaxing & therapeutic., I find it annoying more than anything. No matter what speed I had it on the percussion & vibration was so intense that it felt like my whole body was vibrating. It was irritating to me. The programs are only a few minutes long & if it’s set manually it just keeps going till you turn it off. I also found it to be a bit heavy to hold for extended length of time. I am a hairstylist & thought this would help relax my back muscles & I also used it on my feet because I stand all day but no relief at all.
I gave it 3 stars because it is nice, set up was fairly easy & the touchscreen display is easy to use, it comes with 4 attachments & an extender handle & connected to wifi easily.
I really wanted to like this but it’s just too intense for me, I’ll stick with the shiatsu massagers.

Hi. Thank you for the feedback! We appreciate customer input like this because it helps us continually improve our products. The beauty of being a Wi-Fi enabled device means that we can offer software updates to adjust the experience. So in this case, if customers tell us the experience is too intense (we have not heard this before!), future software updates may offer less forceful vibrations. In fact, if you've ever experienced other percussion guns, you'll likely find the vibration even more aggressive than the Lyric! We appreciate the experience is a matter of taste and I am sorry the Lyric wasn't for you. Thanks again and we wish you all the best!

Had to return mine after it stopped working after one use. Support did not get back to me quickly and when they did claimed they were unfamiliar with my issue, however if you read other reviews online it is common. Device will get stuck with the screen faintly lit with nothing on it. Does not respond to button presses no matter how long it is held. I let the battery die and recharged it and still did not work. I decided to return mine in favor of the hyper ice brand. This was nice when it worked but is too smart for its own good. Wifi and touchscreen are overkill.

I bought this massager with a lot of enthusiasm as it seemed of high brand and the packaging was very creative. However, when I started to use it the massager heads would keep coming out while the massager was functioning. I thought may be it the problem with one massager head. So i tried all the other ones. But all of them would come of as the massager was functioning due to viberation.

Hi. Appreciate the feedback. We’re sorry your/your parents’ experience didn’t live up to our high standards. If you can, please reach out to [email protected] to explain more as this will help us address potential issues. Works Well, Great Battery Life

The massager is great! It has 4 different setting (for pain, energy, calm or rest) that walk through manual or pre-programmed routines. I found the massaging to be restorative and much better than foam rollers or other self-massage devices I've used in the past. I've been using it for a month now, mostly for 5-10 minutes after running on my legs and lower back 4 times a week and the battery finally needed a boost this week.
While I find this to be a highly useful massage I do have a few observations on how it could be improved.
1) My primary use is recovery -- I don't see a recovery option and I'm always guessing which of the 4 options I really should be using.
2) The touch screen has a nice interface but its placed very close to the grip. When massaging your legs its very easy to inadvertently touch the screen, turning off the massage mid-work. Overall the ergonomics could use improvement beyond the touch screen placement. I do appreciate the included extension for working your back though!
3) When you first open it, the massage needs you to use your smart phone to connect the massage to wifi to download the latest firmware and programs massage routines. I found this setup clunky. This is the only use of WiFi on the massager so its got extra network connections and hardware on it that 99% of the time sholdn't be in use and it would've been much more straightforward to plug it in to a computer and sync it over the usb-c already present on the massager for charging
While those are three things that I wish could be improved I do find this to be a wonderful massager that I use everytime I workout. I would highly recommend it.

The Lyric massager isn't like anything I've ever owned. I have never had an impact type massager, so I don't really have anything to compare it. All I can really do is try to articulate what I think of it at face value.
The short answer is that it's really growing on me, and the more I use it, the more I like it. When I first pulled it out of the box, I wasn't sure. the higher frequency vibrations felt "weird" and make some of my nerves in my hands and feet fire off with tingling and twitching. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get used to it. I am glad to say that the unpleasant sensation went away after only a few uses. Once I learned how much pressure to apply, and exactly where to focus the head, I really started to enjoy the Lyric. I guess the short version is that I had a bit of a learning curve, but now that I understand it, I like it.
The guided modes are pretty cool. I have used them all at this point. My favorite mode is the calm program that helps me get ready to sleep in only a few minutes. When I complete the program, I feel relaxed, and have just enough tingle left in me to feel like I'd recently had a nice hand massage from a professional.
I appreciate that I can simply turn it on and set it from levels 1-4 in a manual mode. I use that a lot when I have a single sore muscle that I really want to focus in on.
The wifi connectivity is a nice feature. I like knowing that there will be software and firmware updates. This is a pretty high tech device behind behind a very simple design and interface. Tiny touch screens and guided sessions isn't something you get on most devices in this class. Those features will require updating over time, and knowing that it's automatic is a nice piece of mind.
It's a great looking device. I appreciate that the other head attachments are concealed within the charging base. It keep everything together and organized. The extension handle makes it easy to reach the middle of you back or lower leg areas without have to contort yourself in all kinds of uncomfortable ways. It sits on my night stand without bringing down the aesthetics of my room. I don't feel like I have to hide it away.
Overall, I am really please with this device. It works well and helps me energize, relax, and recover as needed.
There are a few minor things that I'll point out.
1. the base that holds the other heads doesn't fit very securely into the charging base. More than once, when I picked up the base, the bottom place fell off and dropped to the floor. Not a huge deal, just annoying.
2. It gets pretty hot while charging. The first night I had it, I unplugged it when I went to bed because I was afraid it would overheat and start a fire. I plugged it back in the next day and kept an eye on it while I worked from home. It did not overheat, and now I know that it just runs hot when charging. I don't love that charging temp, but it seems to work just fine, so I'll let it go.
3. It's not for everyone. While I have grown to love this thing, my wife doesn't. She can't get past the weird buzzing feeling that you get at the higher frequency parts of the guided sessions. I'm afraid this is going to come down to personal preference. The good news is, you can run it manually, and at the lower frequencies, it similar to other impact massagers. Unfortunately, if you only use it in manual mode, then you really aren't taking advantage of the technology and have likely paid of money for something that you really are seeing benefits from.
I do like it, I think I'll eventually love it. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys taking a few minutes to take care of themselves throughout the day. It's a nice way to step away from the grind and recharge, recover.

A good alternative for pain relief

I mainly got the Lyrics Therapeutic Massager for my wife due to experiencing back and feet pains. So far it’s done a great job of helping her get some much-needed relief. I also had some of our family members give it a try and they all had the same praise for the device for its effectiveness and simplicity of usage.
In the box, you get the therapeutic massager, USB Type C cable, base to charge the device (reminds me of some corded phones from back then), 4 specialized massage attachments), and an extension handle to help with harder to reach areas on your back. The base is a nice addition since it allows you to store the massage attachments and charge the device too.
Set up was a breeze with just a couple of steps to have it connected to your WiFi network.
All you have to do is connect to Lyric WiFi (the small LCD display shows you the network name), Scan the QR code for the website to input your WiFi name and password. After that, if there are any updates it will download them and install them. Now, what I noticed after an update is that you have to repeat the WiFi process all over again. Hopefully, this is something they can resolve with a future update. There’s also a companion app that hasn’t been released yet. Not many details about it what it will do or offer to improve the overall experience.
As for usage, it’s simple they’re a couple of massage profiles that you can pick from and each one has visual guided steps and a manual mode.
Pain: for minor pains and spasms
Energy: start the day alert
Calm: relaxation for the mind and body after a stressful day.
Level (new one after the update) is more of a manual mode.
With the 4 attachments provided, it allows you to dial in the concentration of the massage. You have one attachment that shapes like a thumb, another like getting massaged by 2 fingers, and a cone shape for a much direct concentration, and the default one is for a wider surface area.
Each one allows you to increase the intensity of the massage by just pulling the trigger. If you need to exit back to the home screen just press the LCD display.
Overall the Lyrics Therapeutic Massager is not going to be the solution to your minor pain problems but what it can do is provide some much-needed relief. I would recommend you give it a try.

This massager has become a popular item in the house. I had to find a good spot in the living room to put the charge cradle so it was readily accessible. The attachable extension makes it easier to use on yourself.
I like the features and the easy updating of the firmware over wifi, which was quick and easy to setup. People quickly found their preferences, either the guided routines for rest, pain relief, relax, etc, or setting the intensity level and using it manually, more traditionally. I like the relax routine guided especially, focuses on the wrists and ankles and really helps. The variety of the intensity levels is just about right, at the highest setting, it really puts out a thumping, and can drain the battery down, which is where the convenient charge cradle comes in handy. The extra tips are stored in the slot at the bottom. The one feedback I got from family for an improvement would be that they accidentally pause the massager by hitting the touchscreen while using. They suggested a slide able cover or a double tap command be used to help stop incidental pausing.

Great massager in a compact design.

I never really got into the idea of therapeutic massagers. Then my mom got one and I tried it. It felt amazing. Hers is a different brand and comes in a very large case. When I saw the Lyric massager and its compact design and features I had to get it.
Out of the box, it should have enough charge for the setup process. You will need to connect it to your WiFi network using your phone. This will allow it to update. Once that's done, give it a full charge. Unlike every other massager I've seen, the Lyric has (4) different settings based on what you're after. Pain relief, calm, energy, and rest. There is also a 5th function which is just different intensity levels (1-4). With the presets you can only use intensity levels 1-3. Each setting has two options. Guided or manual. The guided option takes you through different areas. For example, guided pain relief starts on the inside of your thumb, then the inside of your pinkie, and works its way around your body at key points. With the manual option, you just use it in areas where you need it. Clicking the button on the underside will change the intensity level. Hold the button to stop it.
There are four different attachments: the cone for sensitive areas, the dome for larger areas, the thumb for trigger points and deep tissue massage, and the double which is two-pronged for both muscle and tissue. Most of the time I use the dome for my back and the thumb for my feet. The attachments sit under the docking/charging station out of the way which is nice. You don't have to store them separately. It also comes with an extension handle which is great for your back. Instead of having to reach around the side of your back, you can add the extension handle and reach mid-way down your back without having to twist your body to do it.
One of the best parts for me is the rhythm. I haven't seen another massager that does anything other than increase the speed. The Lyric is constantly changing the speed and depth of the stroke which makes a huge difference over other massagers. The rhythms are different based on which program you are in (pain relief, energy, etc.). I tend to get a lot of knots in my back and neck and the Lyric massager has helped eliminate them. My wife wanted to try it and absolutely loves it.
Overall, from what I've seen, this is the best therapeutic massager on the market with a lot of options. I highly recommend it. It's great for pain relief and just relaxing before bed.

Great Massage Tool For At Home Use

As someone who has had a massage membership, I understand the importance of deep muscle stimulation and this tool does a great job of it from my experience. I'm "lucky" to say that before this arrived I had slept wrong and had a pretty intensive kink in my neck, over the course of a week I used this in combination with heat therapy to relieve the pain. I will say, from the moment I opened the box it was easy to see how to put each piece together and also how well it fit together within the box as well as the charging stand. The long reach handle makes it much easier to get to any place you will need for therapy. I will say though as a negative, the touch screen is very sensitive, if you accidentally touch it at all the machine will stop during therapy or even the setup process, it took me a handful of times before I was through the setup process before being able to use the Lyric, but as a tech savvy individual it didn't both me all that much. I utilized the guided approach for the first treatment, which was intuitive and also showed me some different spots to use the tool that I likely wouldn't have thought of before, specifically pressure points. I used this on not only my neck and shoulder area, but everywhere so I can also say that in some spots, namely those with less muscle tissue, the device will at times bounce off the body rather than massage it, like the nape of the neck/back of the head area as well as near the knees and other bonier body parts. Regardless, after cancelling my massage membership, I see great benefits and promise from this tool as someone who is physically active and needs relief more often. Given the cost, I think the investment is certainly there for those that need a tool like this and I am one of them. There is a tip included for any area you may need to use it on as well as guided options if you are not sure on the best approach for relief, additionally even the lowest setting is great at making a positive impact on pain. I love using it before bed to help guide me off to sleep knowing that pain isn't something that will be waking me up in hours to come. While on the other hand, it is also a tool to start the day or help with any "damage" I may have caused during the night. I totally recommend this to anyone who wants a less expensive at home tool to help with muscle pain.
