Great computer, lightning fast
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a Mac user for almost 20 years, this is more of the same great things we have come to expect from Apple. It’s ridiculously fast compared to my 2015 MacBook Pro. The price is great as you can choose monitor of your choice. The only issue I’ve had is occasionally I have to restart to fix a few hiccups, which has not been the case with Apple computers for a long time. I think they are still ironing out some of the M1 chips issues.

Don't let the size or price fool you...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My main computer was a $2500+ Intel-based MacBook Pro, with an 8-core i9 processor. The M1 chip in this little box runs rings around it, particularly for video processing. I was originally concerned with only 8GB of memory, but it just doesn't matter. It chews through rendering 60fps HD video with ease. Buy an external solid-state drive so you have more storage space and you're good to go. Great system.

Light video editing 101
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was a breeze fresh out of the box. Works flawlessly with my Apple Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard (no bluetooth issues whatsoever yet) as well as an older Acer monitor. Super fast overall. Just shooting 4k 60fps videos with my Iphone X airdropping it to the Mac and doing light video editing for social platforms. I went with the 256gb ssd/8gb ram because it was available locally and that should be all I need for that type of use. Highly recommended!

Worth every penny.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worth every penny. It was a lot cheaper than purchasing a MacBook or iMac. Not to mention I love the sleekness and how easy it is to hide in your work area. Performance is amazing for the buck, never lags, slows down, freezes or anything for that matter. With non stop use for several months. My Mac mini is hooked up to dual monitors. Get an HDMI adapter to USBC if you want an easy way to set up dual monitors.

Mac mini is a workhorse for a great price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for an upgrade to my 2013 MacBook Pro and felt this would be a good compromise. My 2009 iMac is still working great for most simple things- video calls, browser use, importing video from a DV camcorder but this device blows it away. I had a 32" monitor with HDMI and mouse/keyboard and did not want to spend what Apple wanted for new or refurbished iMacs or laptops. This has the latest M1 chip and handles video rendering with ease. I use Handbrake to convert recorded videos to a more compressed format. Using a PC with an i5 processor I was able to convert a 3.5 G file in around 45 minutes. The Mini did the same file in 9 minutes. Having a 128GB SSD on my MacBook and made me storage space conscious, so the 256 GB SSD is heavenly. I am not even near using half of it yet and have a dedicated external drive for most of my storage needs. The only issue I have seen is that the Mini has done an abrupt restart 2 times since I got it- about 3 weeks now. It bounced right back and seemed fine afterwards. I am writing that off to the OS, currently Big Sur. I have not upgraded to Monterey yet as my laptop is also at Big Sur and I do not believe I can upgrade it further. This was an "open-box" that I got for a really good price ($632) so I am keeping an eye on it in case it might be hardware. Highly recommend.

Great system
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Powerful little machine that performs exactly as expected! I’ve not run into any issues with performance while streaming a movie in 4k, surfing, and having multiple tabs open. Also, easy to setup and navigate for a first time Mac owner.

Mac mini. A great little computer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fully functional mac at a great price. I love this little machine. It does everything I need it to and more. And with the M1 chip it does it fast!! I got the 256 gig. I knew I was going to probably going to need more storage so I bought a 1TB external drive to go with it. Now I have all the storage I need. I highly recommend this amazing little computer!!

Perfect budget Mac for small places
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this little pc. I only returned it because I hadn’t realized it was a pc. I purchased it thinking I could download apps like you would an iPad. It is a beautiful product though. If I didn’t need the apps I’d have kept this. I exchanged it for an iPad. But this was truly a wonderful little compact pc. Perfect for smaller spaces and budget Mac product. I’d buy it again when I have the budget for it.

A powerful Paperweight
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up for better performance in DaVinci Resolve, I've had a few hiccups with it regarding video-out but nothing that was a soley caused by the mac. I would have preferred more ram, but it gets the job done regardless, even if only slightly better than a custom PC. It comes in at half the price and is overall fantastic, Unfortunately a good monitor and apple keyboard bring it pretty close in price, since it purchased for video editing. I'm look forawrd to upgrading to a more powerful version at some-point would absolute recommend for casual use and office work

Easiest Upgrade Ever.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Mac mini was an easy way to move from our existing desktop into a new machine in a different ecosystem. Boosting the impressive improvements in efficiency and speed that Apple’s M1 chips have delivered, it’s a great value in a small package. This little box is both faster and quieter than the massive desktop machine it’s replacing. No maintenance. No fuss. It just works.

M1 Mac Mini
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really fine way to get into the Apple Silicon world Apple is introducing. It is a modest machine but that is what the mini is all about. This is a new machine and OS so I am feeling charitable. I don't mind the two USB-3 ports, I deal with the limited storage by having an external 6Tb disk. The price drop is a really good sign as minis were getting pricey. I think it is a really good value for the money.
