Pre-ordered on the first day of availability - been using Mac Book Pro from 2014 as primary machine before. The M1 processor is a monster and every task is super fluid with macOS Big Sur. Purchased the base configuration and it is more than enough for daily use unless you need professional video editing for work. Most of the iPad Apps work with no issues - another plus. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new Mac or transitioning to Mac.

I want to like this mac but the USB port situation is very annoying.. My 2012 MAC mini was ironically a lot better and more future proof since I could swap SSD/RAM. Its now limited by its outdated lvy bridge CPU, hence the upgrade. Problems.... For starters my LG monitor hub would draw too much power causing the PC to disconnect my KB. and I kind of need this for full functionality of my gear since there's only 2x USB-A ports on the back. Seems like Apple wants people to switch to BT and that's fine, except for the fact that this model has Issues with its BT receiver. (google it, widespread issue). Need to buy an adapter if you want to use 2x monitors since you need a TB to DP/HDMI.. Otherwise limited to a single monitor, but I knew this going into it. Soldered SSD is questionable given the amount of space in the case... I can ignore the soldered RAM since anything with LPDDR4X requires that and I knowingly purchased 8GB. Overall its a great/powerful machine limited by apples greed. 8GB can only handle a handful of tabs without swapping with SSD. Since the SSD is soldered, I expect this machine to degrade on an SSD/nvme level within 3-5 years quite easily. Cant swap in a new drive to offset potential problems later on. If nvme was exchangeable and port issue wasn't a thing, this would be a 5/5 machine for the price I paid.. but its going back.

It does everything i need. Its great! If you need a computer to do work, this is it.

Picked this up for better performance in DaVinci Resolve, I've had a few hiccups with it regarding video-out but nothing that was a soley caused by the mac. I would have preferred more ram, but it gets the job done regardless, even if only slightly better than a custom PC. It comes in at half the price and is overall fantastic, Unfortunately a good monitor and apple keyboard bring it pretty close in price, since it purchased for video editing. I'm look forawrd to upgrading to a more powerful version at some-point would absolute recommend for casual use and office work

What an amazing computer! It handles anything I throw at it from video editing to gaming. Mac has really hit the mark with their M1 chips. You will not find a better value for this kind of performance level. No matter how intensive the task is, I never hear the Mac Mini kick on a fan nor does the computer throttle its performance.

I bought this specifically for video editing and it didn't let me down. It was quick, and responsive, and rendering/export time was never longer than expected. I used Adobe Premiere mostly and usually, I have trouble with that program but this Mac made it a breeze. Definitely would recommend it for editing and other adobe programs.

This is by far one of the fastest computers out there, you can switch from program to program in a blink of an eye and editing and softwares works like a charm. Since it is new there is a few things that need to be resolved but not deal breakers by any means, this a great pickup if you decide to purchase

Powerful compact computer which is perfect for everyday use! very happy with purchase. saved alot of space. I hooked up a KVM to allow dual monitors and ability to switch between my work laptop and this. As with all Apple products, everything is quick and easy in terms of communicating with other apple products (Ipad, phone, magic mouse, keyboard etc)
