Great computer, can’t go wrong with apple Products

I "upgraded" to this from a 2012 iMac. Definitely much faster even though I'm down 24GB of memory. I miss the convenience of the built-in speakers and SD card reader though. The speaker on the Mac mini is not good so I use external ones. Using a couple of 28" 4k monitors, one using HDMI and the other using thunderbolt/DP. Wish it had 2 more TB/USB-C ports like the Intel Mac mini. The resolution scaling is different between DP and HDMI so if you set it anywhere between smallest and largest, the scaling will not match. This is probably the only weakness I see going with the Mac mini. And TB4 would've been nice, too. Went eBay route for new magic keyboard and trackpad for about half retail. If that's too much work, and you don't have a good monitor lying around, and you want Apple keyboard and mouse/trackpad, I would recommend the 24" iMac instead. You'll get a very nice 5k 500 nits display, built-in speakers and webcam, and magic keyboard and mouse included.

I fried my first one in 2 days. This was an apple issue though, not BestBuy! Took it back and they swapped it out for me! This thing is insanely fast for what I use it for (photo and video production) Check photos for a view of my little mobile setup.

Perfect everyday desktop computer for the average human. It’s even mostly portable if you must. Very good graphics, performance, and versatility.

Loving so far. Can't hear the fans 99% of the time. I my room is really quiet so that's probably why I hear it alittle 1% of the time. Silent compared to my MacBook Pro. I wish it had more thunderbolts ports ( only 2 ) & one is used by the display you connect but Im sure the display you have with have extra ports. I paired it with a studio display. if not than a dongle hub is your next option.

The M1 is fast. I like this more than my macbook pro i5 for video editing. Have enough ports. I’m using dual monitors.

I bought my first Apple product, I needed a new computer and upgraded from a PC after 14 years of ownership. I mounted the Mac and use a 55in LED TV as my monitor. My friends are envious!
