I debated between a MacBook Pro and a Mac mini for quite a while before deciding on this item. I am absolutely thrilled with the computer. It's typical Apple - sleek, quiet, flawless setup and performance. Loving the M1 speed and performance and very pleased to recommend this computer to anyone seeking a simple, elegant Mac. I have owned an Apple computer/phone/pad since 1980.

This is my first Mac computer, I’ve always been a PC fan, but after hearing a lot of good things about Apple’s new M1 processor and for the price I figure to give it a try. It did not disappoint me the computer performs very well. If you don’t already have a monitor or keyboard and mouse I recommend getting the laptop with the M1 over the Mac mini it might be cheaper that way. I already had a good monitor from my old computer.

Where to even begin? This thing is incredible. M1 is unbelievable—this holds its own against my custom built gaming PC in every regard for a fraction of the cost. Unless you’re a mega-power user, don’t worry about the 16GB version; this thing can temporarily “create” more RAM by flashing the solid state really quickly. And it never gets warm, ever. I can’t recommend it enough.

The computer is extremely quick to boot and operate. The internal SSD is lightening fast. Using this to replace my PC desktop, which is monstrous by comparison. Looking forward to declutter my home office. The minor drawback, which I knew walking in, is the low storage. Will need to get some external SSDs for that.

After wasting my money on other brands of PC’s, three in 4 yrs. I saved up and purchased the Mac Mini. I should of not wasted my money on the others. I am so happy, at first I had my doubts about this small box that houses all the components but once I connected the monitor and keyboard and mouse it was a breeze and I could not be happier.

POWER-SPEED-SILENT! What a good value for a "basic" Mac.

Amazing speed, just onboard storage seems low for the price.

Decent little computer. Purchased as an emergency replacement when my MacBook Pro failed while I get it fixed. Much faster than expected running more processor intensive graphics applications. The MacOS (Big Sur 11.1) is super buggy—but that’s not the computers fault, and I’m sure issues will be worked out in the coming updates.

The M1 series apple devices are super fast and powerful. Before you dive into the M1 chip series make sure ALL your software and devices are compatible. Display output is natively hardware limited to 2 displays (1 via builtin hdmi and 1 via thunderbolt). You can purchase external display heads to overcome. Regardless these are a great machine and pricepoint.
