Bought and then returned for an IMac. No problems, but had IMac before and it was a better fit for me.

The speed is not as different as my 2012 Mac Mini, noticed its cooler, bluetooth is unstable. My bluetooth keyboard and magic mouse always lag and frequently gets disconnected. Movie streaming is ok, i frequently get the dreaded video flickers and screen distortion. Common Apple do it right.

I'm not sure who this Mini is for. The hard disk is too small and the system won't be usable by anyone but a complete beginner who just wants to do web browsing and Microsoft Office. I returned it and purchased the 512GB model, a much better choice.

Still a little over priced for the little box. And no user upgrade at all. If it wasn’t the fact that it has to be a mac I skip over this and go with another cheaper solution. And no keyboard or mouse included with this price.

Had Macs and MacBooks since 09 and all have been 5 stars. First few weeks with this were great. Recently the Mini has been unexpectedly restarting. All errors have been reported to Apple and no feedback so far. Tread carefully with this one.

So I picked this up for family use but came to the realization that it’s a private user pc. The main person to set up this thing must be the sole user. Disappointment is an understatement.

    Apple M1 Mini Review

The Mini sets up quickly to HDMI, great picture quality, with some nice free apps-Slide presentation, but many apps just demand monthly fees, besides app pricing. Apple free TV took two days on telephone with over 8 Apple people just to sign up. Web site was trick wanting you to pay, $4.99 per month. You also need to purchase a HUB, because there are no ports left, no camera, no mic. The Raspberry Pi computer is cheaper with much more to offer for less than $100.00.

I love Mac products. I’m kind of disappointed with the speed of the M1. It was hoped so much it has not reached expectations. Everything else is perfect.

Bought it to see the all new mighty and powerful M1 chip. After its crashing everyday, I returned it for my intel based Mac. Still have a lot to work out over there at Apple.

I must have a bad model, because me experience does not match the others. But I am having serious connectivity issues. In a nutshell: the bluetooth keyboard & mouse did not connect to M1. (A google search turned up many similar complaints); my ethernet data transfer locked up, (I think computer went to sleep during transfer) and crashed the system. When I go to various websites, I get lots of pinwheels, I'm told because translation difficulties between old graphics & new M1.
