Major issues when connecting dual 4k displays. Each screen cuts out and goes black every 5 minutes or so, rendering it next to useless. Expected WAY more from Apple. Was fine when connected to non-4k monitors. Upgraded the monitors to 4k, then the problems started. I even returned the monitors and bought 2 brand new, different brand 4k monitors. Same issue. I've been through about 10 or 12 different cables, still the problem persists. It's too late to return it since the problems didn't start happening until after the return period expired. Extremely disappointed.

Snowy screen on wake up. Screen turns odd colors and videos sometimes are blurred. Expensive HDMI and good monitor. Apple seems to be aware of issue but either has no fix or is blaming customer hardware. Really wanted to love this unit as some things are really sweet. Just be careful if you want one. Maybe you have to buy their monitor, cables and keyboard. Too bad.

How to use the Apple configurator on one of my other computers just to be able to set this device up because it was still synced with the previous persons Apple ID info. It took at least six hours to complete info and I’m a little shocked because normal people wouldn’t have known to do these things. Best Buy really dropped the ball with this one.

Not great honestly. Apple touted this as being able to handle audio and video editing seamlessly. NOT the case. Even with their own software (Logic Pro) and their own plugins. Not even third party plugins, my system is chugging hard. You get what you pay for I guess.

bought open box that was still connected to someone apple's ID. Needless to say that device was defective. So I was sent a replacement and charged for the shipping!! The second one WAS NOT FACTORY RESTORED EITHER. Two devices with two different accounts and information on devices. Complete breach of privacy. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER

I was so excited to see Apple release their new Macs with the M1 Chip. With Covid, I have been working from home since March and expect to for the foreseeable future. I have an iPad Pro 11 Inch that I currently do a lot of my work and casual use on, but I wanted a desktop to have more of a permanent work station that will last for several years. The Mac Mini made sense for me because it integrates so easily with all of my other Apple Products (HomePod, AirPods, iPad, Apple TV, iPhone). If you’re a longtime, multi-device Apple user like myself you’ll understand how easily it is to switch between devices and retain your information within the Apple Ecosystem. For me, I chose the base model, 8 GB Ram with 256 GB of storage. I don’t do much video editing, but use the internet, messages, various apps and light photo editing. If you do more heavy programming or editing I do recommend the 16 GB of Ram, but for my use that extra power isn’t necessary for $200 for my minimal use. This desktop is snappy fast and I’ve been very impressed so far in my week using it. Many of the apps seem to have worked well so far on the M1 chip and I’m excited to see additional compatibility across the board. One thing to keep in mind is that with the Mac Mini you do want to make sure you have a monitor, keyboard and mouse. The $699 base price does look appealing, and it is, but your overall cost can add up quickly if you purchase the other pieces. All in all, this is a great Mac that’s fast and sleek. If you’re like me and want to stay in the Apple ecosystem and get a desktop for casual use at home but don’t need crazy power then this Mac Mini is right for you.

For someone who just needs a basic computer for internet browsing, viewing media, or any basic tasks with pre-installed software, this may be for you. If you are a developer or designer, skip this machine. It lacks in power greatly.

Complete trash was supposed to be geek squad certified. The item itself was bricked so wouldn’t get past making the user profile would freeze and stay that way. When returned the didn’t notice give me full refund and I was highly upset

I like the new Mac Mini however, there is a Bluetooth connection issue with mine. I’m taking it back to the store as I’m researching and finding out this is a known issue.

Got it for editing photos, the thing glitches every other day, it’s extremely frustrating because I’m only using Lightroom with nothing else on.

I would not recommend this item if you used mac pro before. Don't forget that you need to buy a keyboard and monitor.

It’s a nice brick, or boat anchor, worked for a couple days then went to update and would not recover had to send back.

Do not buy open box!! Five calls to Apple care reloaded the OS multiple times. Kept losing time and the Internet after two visits to the Genius Bar the logic board has been replaced.

No wifi or Bluetooth and crashes often, I think I got a lemon :(

I could not get the computer to wake my monitor after it went to sleep. After 2 sessions with apple support, two sessions with geek squad support, and being told in store support would have to be purchased, for a 2 week old purchase, I returned the computer.
